'Yeah, don't remind me..' she said softly. 'It scares me' she said honestly. 'I guess it would be fun though.. but it just makes me feel a bit old. And I don't feel ready to start thinking about what I want to do after school. The time just seems to pass by so quickly' Lara told her.
'Did you feel the same way?' she asked, 'or couldn't you wait until you graduate?' Lara guessed that it would be different once the time came, but she was still curious about how Serafina had felt at her age. Hopefully, it wasn't that strange to freak out about graduation. But she actually hadn't met someone that shared simmilar views to her yet.. it was only a matter of time, though.
'Fair enough' Lara said, 'I just can't stand the cold. I feel it really easily. So I prefer it to the warmth. But everyone to their own'. She could understand why Serafina liked it down here, now. As Serafina didn't like summer weather. 'This is probally the coolest place in the school, don't you think?' she asked. Stupid question, but whatever. Lara didn't care.
'Oooh thats really good. I'm glad things are going so well for you' she said genuienly. Lara actually liked hearing people say things like that, it made her feel happyyy. 'Yeaah, fine' she said, 'probally not as good as you, but it's all good.. not bad, anyway'. She really sucked at explaining stuff like that.

Laughing softly Sera nodded, "Yeah the thought of it scared me too for a while." She said admitting to Lara how the thought of graduation felt to her, but it really was only for a little while. "Thinking of having to 'grow up' so quickly especially if you're planning on taking a teaching job and stuff. Though in my last year I'll admit I was quite looking forward to it ending, though that might just have been because Abba told me and Vancha that once I'd graduated we could get married so I had that to look forward to." She grinned knowing that what she had said probably wasn't all that helpful to Lara but it was the truth.
"You'll be fine though." Sera added, "Its really not as scary as it seems, plus graduation is great fun you wouldn't want to miss out on that."

(( this is before the wedding isn't it? ))
'Yeah, well weddings are exciting!' Lara said. That was a good reason to look forward to graduating, Lara had to admit. But, she doubted that she would have something like that happen to her so soon. Though, she'd love to get married; but the thought of that actually scared her more than the thought of graduating.
'Thank you' Lara said, smiling at Serafina, 'I appreaciate your support'. Though it didn't make her feel any less nervous, it was nice to hear. Then she managed a slight laugh. 'Yeah, it would be fun. I'm just not so keen on it happening so quickly, thats all..'

(Yeah it is supposed to be) Serafina smiled as she thought about the wedding, "You are going to come aren't you, everyone is invited." She asked hopefully, she wanted it to be a big and sociable event with loads of people and it would be nice if people from her own house were there. "No problem, it will go quickly nothing will change that unfortunately. Just remember to enjoy your time being an 'irresponsible' student." Sera grinned, "And I'm always around if you ever want anything." [sorry for shortness, I'm lacking ideas ]

'Yeah, I'll be there' Lara said honestly. She had actually planned to go, she loved going to weddings. Well, she loved the end part. To be honest, the middle part where its just talking bored her. She always managed to zone out of that part without fail.. and she would probally even do the same at her own wedding. Haha, she was pathetic. 'Soo are you getting excited? Not long to wait now!'
Irresponsible student? Her? Never! 'Don't worry, I will' Lara said, slightly laughing. 'And thanks, I'll remember that.' It was nice to be able to talk to her Head of House.
(( yeah I'm brain dead too.. ))

"Great." Serafina replied with a smile, "Oh yeah definately looking forward to it, feels like I've been waiting so long though so these last few days (or weeks or whatever it should be ) will probably crawl past at a snails pace." She said with a sigh, still in the end they would get there and all would be wonderful. "No problem," Sera added with a friendly smil. It was after all part of her job as HOH to be there to help her students but she had to admit she liked that part of her job. It was a little sad but she knew so few of the Slytherins that were younger than her and so wanted during her year in charge to try and change that.

'Yeah, but isn't that always the way! And as soon as it comes, it'll be the end of the day before you know it.' Yupp. Lara hated how things worked like that, but it was true how the saying goes, "time flies when you're having fun". Frustratingly true saying. 'But I'm sure you'll still have loads of fun.. weddings always are enjoyable'. Lara smiled at Serafina.. she was kind of running out of things to say to her.
'Soo, anyway...' she didn't really know how to finish that sentance. Hopefully, Serafina could help her out. If not, welll, they'd be stuck.

Serafina smiled and laughed lightly as Lara spoke, "Yeah the old cliches always do turn out to be true, still there will be a very long time to enjoy the rest of my marriage I suppose so that makes up for it."
Lara seemed to be running out of things to say and Sera wasn't sure if she herself knew what to ask. Probably would have been different if she was still a student but there was something about being a Professor that made you act differently. "Sooo, what classes did you decide to take this year?" Ah yes when stuck for something to discuss turn to what you both know well, school work, plus knowing these things made it easier to check up on the members of her house, can't be letting Slytherin down now can we?

(( sorry I took a while, my computer hasn't been working.. ))
'Um well there's Defence Against the Dark Arts, then Flying, Potions, and Dark Arts..' Yeah, Defence Against the Dark Arts and Dark Arts were fairly simmilar, but she had signed up for DADA first, then heard about Dark Arts, being a new subject, and decided to give it a go. Besides, it was an interesting subject. Even if she didn't know much about it.
Normally, Lara would then ask her the same question, but seeing as Serafina was a Professor, that would be a tad stupid. 'Soo..' Lara said, desperately trying to think of a way to carry on the conversation, 'whats teaching Divination like? I took that class a few terms ago.. it was pretty interesting.'

Sera nodded as Lara listed off her classes, yeah they sounded pretty much like ones she'd have taken herself mosty probably. Especially potions, Serafina always did love potions, maybe she could teach that sometime.
"Teaching divination, well I think it's great. I know a lot of people don't like it or can't get their heads around it as a form of magic but it is really. And it's great to find someone in the class that has a natural talent for it, I mean anyone can read the cards or the tealeaves and such but someone with 'real' talent for the subject is rare to find." Serafina rambled on smiling as she talked, yes divination was a subject she was passionate about, people rarely knew the benefits it could have for them or how powerful it really could be.

Lara nodded as Serafina spoke. She had to agree with her. 'Yeah, it's definately a form of magic. I mean, you don't see Muggles doing Divination, so it has to be.' She hadn't really seen much people say it wasn't a form of magic though, but she was sure there was plenty of people that didn't like it.
'Mmmm, it would be really rewarding to teach someone with a passion with the subject' Lara said. That person definately wasn't her, though. Lara didn't really have a passion for any subjects, and definately not any natural talent in any, either. Nope, she was just plain avevage. Miss Boring. Yep.

Serafina nodded happily as Lara seemed to understand what she was getting at, "Yeah you can definately tell the difference between people who really want to be there taking the class and those that are there just because they have to be." She said. It wasn't a bad thing to just be in class because you know you have to, lord knows she used to do that with enough of her classes, but now having experienced the other side of it you really could tell the difference.
Hmm okay so that topic of conversation had been worn pretty thin and Serafina was feeling kinda tired and awkward still just standing in the doorway of the dungeon. "So were you heading anywhere in particular before I tied you up here?" She asked with a grin.

Lara nodded. That was soo true, even she could tell the difference. But the sad thing was, sometimes the people with natural talent didn't want to be there, and the people who couldn't really do it at all really wanted to be there. Ironic, huh.
'Before you tied me up in here?' Lara kind of laughed at that. 'Well, not really..' she said, a little more seriously. 'I was just going to find a comfortable corner to sit in for a bit, so I could relax.. nothing too important.' Thinking about it, Lara was glad that she had come across Serafina, because that sounded a whole lot boring, now.
'And you were just planning for your lesson, weren't you?'

"Ah thats okay then," Sera grinned, she hadn't wanted to have occupied Lara for all of that time if she'd actually been planning to go somewhere or do something in particular.
At Lara's question Serafina glanced back over her shoulder at the mess of papers and pile of books that littered the table in the dimly lit room behind her. "Yeah," She said, turning back with a small shake of her head. "To be honest I'm glad you came along it was beginning to give me a headache." She laughed, dreading to think what her class would make of learning it if it was giving Sera a headache when she already knew how to do it. "I could definately do with a break."

'Yeah I know what you mean' she said with a slight laugh, 'I'm glad you came as well, otherwise I would have probally died of boredom.. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to just sit down here, to be honest.' And that was a good point.. what had she been thinking, she could just sit there and look at her hands or something. Maaan, she must have been bored before. 'Yeah I'm really glad I found you.. and I'm glad that I saved you from having a headache, too' she added.
'So how long had you been down here before I came?' she asked.
