Christina was excited to start showing Hufflepuff pride everywhere she went as instructed by the Hufflepuff Head of House. She went to the entrance hall carrying some Hufflepuff banners to put up. She was filled with school pride as she sang the Hufflepuff song. Hufflepuff Fight Song Ah...Quidditch season draws nigh...and for me, there's nothing quite like the sound of a marching band practicing on the field in anticipation for the first game. If Hogwarts had a marching band (as well they should!) perhaps they'd play this filk...to the tune of The Victors, otherwise known as The University of Michigan Fight Song
Let's hear it for the Hufflepuff DUFFERS (Don't Underestimate Fiercely Faithful, Especially Resourceful Students)
Now raise a cheer, they are here victorious Here they come on broomsticks flying Precision moves, death defying With shouts of victory crying We huzzah! huzzah! We greet you now Hail!
Far we their praises sing For the Golden Snitch they've caught us Loud let the bells they ring For here they come on broomsticks flying Far we their praises tell For the Golden Snitch they've caught us Loud let the bells they ring For here they come on broomsticks flying Here they come, huzzah!
Hail! to the victors valiant Hail! to the Quidditch heroes Hail! Hail! to Hufflepuff The leaders of the sport Hail! to the victors valiant Hail! to the Quidditch heroes Hail! Hail! to Hufflepuff The champions of Hogwarts
We cheer them again We cheer and cheer again For Hufflepuff we cheer for Hufflepuff We cheer with all our strength We cheer cheer cheer With all our strength we cheer
Hail! to the victors valiant Hail! to the Quidditch heroes Hail! Hail! to Hufflepuff The champions of Hogwarts She then put up the banners she had brought with her.

Serafina came gliding through the corridors, down the stairs and into the entrance hall and was hit full on in the face but some piece of dangling material that had been suspended in the air. Spitting the offending banner out of her mouth she shook her head to brush the hair from her eyes and looked up to see just what it was that had attacked her. "Hufflepuff, hmph I should have known." She said darkly, eyeing the banner with distaste. It was always all about hufflepuff and things this year were due a change Serafina could see a girl a little further along the entrance hall, singing some song of Hufflepuff pride and hanging up more garishly yellow banners so a cunning idea came into Serafina's mind. She fished her wand from the pocket of her robes and was about to enchant the banners, change them from Hufflepuff ones into something else. But then she stopped, stumped for a moment. Of course her initial reaction had been to turn the banners into some nice green Slytherin ones, her wonderful old house but.....the problem there was that Sera was the new Gryffindor HOH so should she be showing a little bit of that lion-like pride? Hmmm it was a toughie... With a sigh Sera figured she could compromise, I mean anything was better than Hufflepuff right? So waving her wand at the banners each one slowly changed to red with a roaring lion or green with a hissing snake, she even threw in a few blue ones for good measure. Catching up with the girl hanging Serafina crept behind her enchanting the last few banners before quickly hiding her wand behind her back and whistling nonchalantly. "That's a very impressive display of school spirit." She said with a slight smirk. Why not leave the last banner or so yellow just so she didn't feel left out hmm? Serafina may not always be the nicest of people but she wan't plain mean...much.

Sophia was wandering the corridors aimlessly, as she always seemed to be doing. She was searching for someone to take with her to do all of their dreaded homework in the library. But it seemed she couldn't find anyone. Until she heard her singing down the stairwell in the entrance hall. She always had been able to identify Christina by hearing her sing from afar. Sophia's smile was wide as she rushed down the stairs, seeing Christina hang up a Slytherin banner. Wait, a Slytherin banner?
Sophia watched momentarily, her head moving slightly at an angle in her confused state. Now why in the world would she.. wait. She saw Serafina charming the banners to change as Christina hung them. Now this just wasn't right. Man, people needed to stop raining on Hufflepuff's parade. Hufflepuff rocks, you guys just needa get over it.
Anyway, Sophia found a large stone statue to hide her small figure behind, pulling her wand from her pocket. She muttered a spell to turn them all back to Hufflepuff and pointed in that direction, pulling her wand arm behind the statue again the second she'd cast it. Haha, it was on. She knew that Sera would try and charm them back into Slytherin and Gryffindor banners, but man Hufflepuff was where it was at! No reason for the other houses to be hung. Although she did quite like one Slytherin boy.

While waiting for the little Hufflepuff girl to respond to Serafina's comment she glanced around to admire her handy work but all of he banners seemed to have been charmed back into those awful yellow Hufflepuff ones, now how on earth had that happened??
Sera frowned, holding her wand out again, and muttering a few incantations and smiling as the yellow was once again replaced by reds and greens, surprising even herself by the number of reds that surpassed the green ones this time. Perhaps she could really be a Gryffindor convert given enough time for it. Then she began to wonder what had happened to change them again that quickly. Sera knew that the little hufflepuff couldn't know enough magic yet to have charmed them all back without even waving a wand, just not possible...someone was trying to be sneaky....much like Sera was of couse. But well Sera would beat them at their own game if that was what was happening!
Still waiting for a response, Sera kept one eye on the little blonde hufflepuff whilst the other beady eye was keeping a look out as to who might be doing their little magic tricks behind her back.
Then suddenly another boy who Serafina didn't know at all yelled, hiding hmmm? So there was someone there. Serafina figured she'd wait and see what happened before going to find out just who it was. So starting back up with her nonchalant whistle Serafina pretended not to have heard the boy yelling and looked back to Christina wondering if the little girl had any clue as to all that had been going on whils she was hanging her banners.

Christina was singing her Hufflepuff House Song a second time oblivious to what was going on around her.
We cheer them again We cheer and cheer again For Hufflepuff we cheer for Hufflepuff We cheer with all our strength We cheer cheer cheer With all our strength we cheer
Then whens she was done hanging the banners she stepped back to look at them to see how she had done. There were Gryffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw ones all hung up nicely. He wait a minute she thought to herself as she started twirling a piece of her long blond hair. This isn't right , then all of a sudden they were back to all being Hufflepuff. I must be losing my mind she thought, don't start that Christina your not crazy. So she resumed the Hufflepuff School Pride Song.
Hail! to the victors valiant Hail! to the Quidditch heroes Hail! Hail! to Hufflepuff The champions of Hogwarts
She had just finished the last verse of singing the song a second time when, all the banner went different house colors all over again. No she thought your not losing you mind, this isn't happening. So she closed her eyes and thought deeply, when I open my eyes they will all be back the way I had them. Then she heard a big yell say.
"Hiding hmmmm."
It burst her concentration and she opened her eyes and turned around.
"I'm not hiding who's there , who said that?"
She said looking about in 'The Entrance Hall' she noticed a boy she never met talking to a statue near him.
"Why you talking to that statue?"

"Shhh!" Sophia quietly shushed the boy, signaling to him to get down behind the statue with her. Gahh, she was just trying to do a favor to her house here. Man, Hufflepuff rocks and no one messes with Hufflepuff banners. Since the boy seemed to have caught the attention of both Serafina and Christina, she gave up on him. To get him to go away, or so she hoped she whispered "I'm Sophia Davis. Seventh Year. Hufflepuff. Now go out there and deal with them, I'm trying to freak them out!" Sophia grinned at him, knowing that they hadn't heard her where Sera and Christina were, because Christina freaked out about the boy talking to the statue.
Sophia muttered a few spells, keeping her wand arm hidden behind the statue this time, so that they all changed to yellow and black banners again, bearing the Hufflepuff Badger.

Jared looked over and saw that nasty girl that threw up in the hospital wing talking to him. He rememberd spraying her with watery poop and the swedish fish that came out of his butt and was glad she wasn't close to him. He yelled, "I'm not talking to a statue stupid only a girl would say something like that!! I'm talking to this Seventh Year! Sohpia! What was your last name again!" he asked her and stood over her trying to look down her shirt.

Christina heard Jared reply to her the guy she met in the hospital wing who did all that gross stuff and heard him mention Sophia. So she went over behind the statue where Sophia was and said hi.
"Hey Sophia , how you doing?"
She said smiling then she turned and faced Jared.
"Hey stop looking down her shirt, not down there up here. when you talk to her. "
She said while pointing from Sophia's chest then to Sophia's eyes for an example.

Serafina grinned wickedly as all three of the hufflepuffs seemed to get caught up in speaking with each other discovering who they all were and why Sophia was hiding back there. Ahhh so it was her that was changeing all the banners back again. Serafina was rather thankful that the boy had shouted out her name, at least she knew who she was dealing with.
Whilst they were all caught up in mingling with each other and showing some 'hufflepuff pride' or whatever it was they were doing Sera took the opportunity to wave her wand again and charmed all of the banners red, green and blue not a single yellow one remained.

Sophia watched as the banners once again turned back to the other three house colors and she rolled her eyes, annoyed. She flicked her wand and muttered, a spell turning them all back to yellow, not another color was there. "Jared, you are a little punk. You blew my cover." She growled. When Christina stepped behind the statue and said hey, she gave her friend a smile. "Hey, Christina." Then she told Jared not to look down her shirt. "What? You little punk!" Sophia screeched, her voice reaching the highest it ever had. "Do you know who my boyfriend is. Gah, when he finds out about a little second year trying to look down my shirt he is honestly going to be pissed. I would watch your back around here, Jared." Sophia pronounced each syllable in his name sharply as she stared him down.

Serafina scowled as the banners flickered back to yellow and black, apparantely Sophia was not distracted enough to let the little war slide, she was however getting rather irate with the Hufflepuff boy that had pointed out her hiding place. He'd been looking down her top, now that was just crude especially for such a little boy ugh. Serafina wondered if the time had come to go and start playing the responsible teachery role and set the little war of the banners aside for a moment.
Well maybe she wouldn't set it aside entirely, she waved her wand with a large flourish as she started to cross the entrance hall. All of the banners were once again red and green, she'd neglected to include Ravenclaw in this occassion as her mind was sliding into official mode and Gryffindor and Slythering were the only two houses that meant enough to her for the banners to appear without her having to concentrate.
Sera sighed as she finally reached the group of Hufflepuffs, Sophia of course she knew well and was one of her brightest students, the little girl she didn't know but seemed to know Sophia and hadn't been causing any trouble. The boy however just seemed to be ticking everybody off.
"Okay that's enough I can see the fun here is rapidly starting to dissipate." She said shortly hoping to stop Sophia screeching although really the girl had every right to screech. "Now you, leering at the girls isn't a good idea as you seem to be both too young to know what to do with one as well as so stupid as to get caught in the act." She snapped at him.
"If I wasn't a Professor and a HOH I'd let them jinx you into the next life, but fortunately for you I am...However I could always deduct a few of those well earned hufflepuff points, which I can gurantee would be a great pleasure for me to do." Sera hissed. She may have been the new Gryffindor HOH but inside she was still all Slytherin. "So your choice, and as Sophia said I'd watch your back there may not always be somebody around to save you."

"Thanks, Sera." Sophia smiled at her professor. Serafina, of course, taught one of her favorite classes, so she sort of favored her (as well as Taryn) above most of the other professors. Sophia looked to the boy, wondering what was going through his head as he was caught trying to look down Sophia's shirt. Ha, you can't get away with everything, especially not here around Hogwarts. Sophia flicked her wand, causing the banners to turn yellow and black again. "Can we just turn them all four colors?" Sophia asked, casting the spell once more, concentrating on getting all four colors in there. They lined up in a pattern, alphabetically actually, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, and moved in that same pattern down the line.

Christina was proud when she saw her bestest friend Sophia tell the boy off who tried to look down her shirt. She then watched as Sera a professor told them all to stop fighting. She then listened as Sophia said about can we just have them be all colors and thought it was a brilliant compromise. "Yes I agree with Sophia, lets just have them be all colors, I love her compromise she is really quite the diplomat." Christina said with a big smile as she waited Sera's response

Sera frowned for a moment, so it seemed the fun would be over but compromise did seem like a good idea. She was a Professor and wasn't supposed to show favouritism right...
"Well I suppose that would be the fairest thing to do." She agreed, allbeit with a small sigh of reluctance. Okay so a part of her that was still a Slytherin student had yet to slip away and Sera firmly believed that it never would, hell if you looked at it one way she would perpetually be the just graduated 18 year old for however many hundreds of years she had left to live. But at this time and place in her life (or was it afterlife...hmm that's a tricky one) compromise seemed like a good idea.
She looked around with approval at Sophia's job in chageing the banners and nodded, "Yes I suppose it does look best this way."
