Ash had noticed all day that it was really humid outside, which was extremely uncommon for England's weather, none the less he knew the warning signs from traveling with family that humid weather such as what was happening then only meant one thing...HUGE STORMS. Ash loved storms; he loved watching them, and playing in them. This time he would watch this one.
It was about 7pm the sun was setting and a huge ominous cloud decided to sweep closer and closer to the castle the smell of rain more imminent as the storm lingered closer. He could she the lightning flash in the distance and the thunder rumble from afar. An excited Ash began to walk up into the owlery. He saw an window at the far end he decide that the smell was too much to bear inside the owlery that he looked out of the window to see if there was a big enough ledge or a big enough patch of roof space to sit on and watch the oncoming storm. He knew of course that when the storm drew closer he would move inside. He spotted a bit of flat surface on the roof that was just enough space for him and a friend, that is if one would join him and slowly crept onto the roof and slowly maneuvered to the spot where he had spotted earlier and sat down and continued to watch the storm as it drew nearer and nearer to the castle.

Blake had a letter that he was expecting and that he needed to send to his parents. It was storming bad and he was drenched as he arrived to the owlery. The storms arrived quickly. His hair was matty and was a mess. He looked like a mess. He saw someone on the roof. As he approached, he saw it was Ash. He thought he could make a friend. He knew Ash was different but Blake wasn't one to judge somebody. He then climbed up on the roof and sat next to Ash. "How's it going Ash? It's quite something out here." He said with a smile. He wasn't quite sure on how Ash was different but he knew he was

Ash continued to watch the storm all excited as the lightning became closer and the thunders rumble grew more intense. The rain since he had been sitting there drew from a light sprinkling to a medium drizzle and his hair had little droplets of water on his head. He began to hear footsteps coming from inside he looked over to see the Ravenclaw he had a few days before
'Hello Ash' was what he heard coming from inside. "Hey Blake whats happening? he asked as he knew this was not the best time to be roaming the tall towers as an monster storm began to approach. Then Ash heard Blake mention the storm. "Yeah, its really something i can feel this one is going to be a really big one which is really uncommon for this area." he said to Blake.

"I just came from over there." Blake pointed to where the storm was at. "As you can tell... I'm soaked. I didn't think it was going to storm that bad, man." He said with a laugh. "It is uncommon. I see you must like storms to be sitting up here." A loud crack of thunder caught Blake by surprise and nearly fell off the roof. "Whoa there. I almost fell off." He said as he try to regain his position. "That was something. I almost disappeared." Blake looked like a wet dog. He was pretty cool with anyone. He didn't mind hanging out with anyone too. He started to laugh hysterically as another loud thunder came again.

Ashton smiled as the Blake boy continued to talk to him and nodded occasionally. "yeah its just so uncommon my mother who is a muggle blames it on a theory they call 'global warming' i have been studying up on it. Its really interesting." he said to Blake before a huge thunder cracked and he saw Blake almost fall of the roof. After Blake had regain his position Ash asked if he was alright. "Oh... and yes you are extremely soaked. You know if you need to i can maybe build a fire from some of this straw that we got in here and warm you up hopefully that would keep you from getting a cold." he said as another big thunder rang. "Yeah that sounds like a good idea." he said again before climbing back into the window extending his hand to Blake to help him back into the owlery.

"I've never really thought about global warming. I've hear people mention it bzut never thought about it." He replied. He then nodded."That sounds good. A fire that is." He thought it was great to have a friend like Ash. He took Ash's hand and got back inside. He released from.Ash's hand. "I think you are cool Ash. Can you summon me a towel please?"

"Yeah its a hard concept to get into if you really just not into that stuff" he said to Blake then smiled as Blake let go of his hand and then grabbed some stray straw and some bricks and put the straw on top of them making sure that he didn't light the straw on fire where the wood planks were for the owlery. "Oh, a towel, sure" said Ash as he continued to get some bricks and straw for the fire then took out his wand and said "Accio towel" and a towel came into his hand and he handed it to Bake. Then when he noticed that the straw and bricks were ready for the fire he pointed his wand at it and said "Incendio" and then put his wand back and sat in front of the fire to where he could still see the outside storm becoming even more strong. He could have sworn it started to hail. "Your not scared of the storm are you Blake?" he asked smiling.

Blake watched Ash worked on the fire. He watched as the towel came in. " Thanks, mate." He smiled as he grabbed the towel. He dried his hair roughly. His hair was a mess. He took his shirt off so he wouldn't get a cold. He wrapped the towel around his upper body. When he heard the storm pick up to hail, Blake scooted close to Ash. He was pretty much sitting hip to hip. "Im terrified when it storms this bad and also spiders. They just freak me out." He said as he wasn't moving an inch because the stormed had him rattled.

Ash now was excited that the storm was picking up and nodded as Blake thanked him for the towel. "Not a problem. I am always glad to help." he said as he smiled and now noticed that Blake was taking off his shirt. Ashton had to try to hard not to let his jaw drop as Blake's bare chest was showing. After Blake had put the towel over his upper body Ashton cleared his throat and then noticed that Blake had just scooted very close to him, yes 'hip to hip' was the best way to put it. It was very hard for Ash not to bring up him being the 'way he was' to Blake. That was until he started talking about things he was scared of. As shown Ash definitely wasn't afraid of storms, and being a slytherin Spiders really didn't bother him. "Can i tell you something Blake?" he asked not sure if he was doing the right thing.

Blake had always been terrified of storms. He kinda saw Ash checking him out but didnt say anything. He smiled at Ash but the smile went away as the hail got bigger. "Storms really freak me out. He said looking at him. He took the towel off and sat their shirtless. "I hope you won't mind me being shirtless, mate. You won't catch me wearing shirts too often away from class." He said with a smile. "What is it?"

As the storms rage grew Ash could see that Blake wasn't really enjoying himself. He looked at Blake and huggd him and said, "Yeah i can tell, but you know what your really safe here so dion't worry and if it does get really bad i will just move this party inside." Ash then saw that Blake had become shirtless again. He wsn't sure if Blake had just dried off and wanted to get warm, or he just wanted to seduce and show off for Ash. Whatever it was Ash did like it. Then Ashton heard Blake ash what he wanted to tell him. "I am gay Blake. I am attracted to guys. Maybe you noticed that i kept staring at you. I think your actually pretty cute... but anyway enough of that." he said and tried to find soemthing else to talkk about. "Yeah, what classes do you plan to take?" he asked

Blake hugged him back. "Alright thanks." He said with a blank look but was grateful for his friend. He heard Ash tell him that he was gay. He blushed a little as Ash thought he was cute. He was never called that by a guy before. It was different to Blake. He didn't know what to say. To be funny, Blake put his wet shirt around Ash's neck and laughed. "Perhaps... care of Magical Creatures, Charms, and Defense." He said with a smile still blushing a little. He couldn't get it out of his mind. He was a little confused by it. "You are my buddy. Perhaps if you get me partying too much, you never know. I have tried fire firewhiskey before. My parents don't know."

Ash now felt bad. He really shouldn't have told Blake that he thought he was cute. However, he didn't feel bad about telling Blake he was gay. That's just something all his friends should know. While he was thinking he just felt a wet shirt go behind his neck. "Oh Merlin that's cold." he said and threw it down. Then he began to hear of what classes Blake was taking it was very funny because he had planed to take the same ones. It was a long shot but somehow he felt that Blake only was taking them because he was. Ash always had that self centered thoughts towards himself. He thought if anything came in his favor it was because someone just wanted to be around him. That was something he would have to get over in time. "That's funny Blake because i am am taking the same classes." he said laughing a little to himself.
Ash needed to get something off his chest to Blake. He folded his arms and looked him in the eye. "I am so sorry, I know your straight and I shouldn't have said anything I really didn't mean to make you weirded out. Its my fault i will keep my stuff to myself from now on" he said and then walked over to the window and looked outside a bit of sadness came over him. He hated when he felt this was. The rain was now dying down and he just looked outside at the window and thought of the numerous guys he had lost as friends or potential dates for being so up front about his personal life.

Blake looked at Ash. "Well see... we are destined to hangout together.' He said with a smile. He thought it wasn't working out somehow but he had to think about this. "I'm not weirded out at all. I never was called cute before by a guy. That doesn't mean I hate you at all. I'm not mad or anything. I'm just confused is all." He walked over to Ash and hugged him. "Don't say that. You're cool. Losing you would be difficult. You're a really cool guy." He said with a smile. "I will tell you what... if you go with me right now to get something eat... ummm... if you sneak me some firewhiskey... I will let you kiss me. How does that sound? I'm not gay but I don't want to see a friend down."

Ash looked back. "I know i am sorry i just get this way sometimes." he said and then continued to look outside as his mood changed for the worse the rain started to hit harder. Then he heard Blake talk about getting happy and then kissing. He sighed he never liked hearing that a kiss to him was something to remember not something to do when you were happy. He moved away from the window and then sat next to the fire again. "look i need to stop thinking about this but I can't" he said. "I am a bit upset i am just going to go." he said as he handed Blake his shirt and started to walk out of the owlery and down the steps into the main part of the castle.
