Sawyer was chasing a wolf pup. He thought it was cute. He wanted to hold it. Little did he know, he was approaching the willow. His attention was on the wolf pup. "Come here." He said softly to the pup. The willow caught wind of this. The tree knew it would take action. It winded up and swung. It came from behind him. It hit Sawyer so hard, he flew about a hundred feet. He landed on his back. "Help!" He cried out. He cried because the pain was too much. The shock was about to take over.

Ivy hadn't been at Hogwarts long, but she was keen as ever to start some exploring. Find all of the places of interest she could before she became to busy with work and classes. She'd decided to take a stroll around the grounds. Her older brother Kisten had told her a few of the good places to check out, the lake, the forest, to beware of the Whomping Willow etc etc. He had his uses at times she supposed.
Just as she was strolling leisurely down the lawns Ivy suddenly heard a commotion. There was some scuffling, a heavy thud and someone yelled out for help. Squinting into the sunlight Ivy could just about see and huddled lump of what looked like someone crumpled on the ground, and not so far away the whomping willow tree was quivering its branches menacingly.
Ivy rolled her eyes and hurried over to the person in the grass. It was a boy, probably about her own age, she jabbed him slightly with her foot to see if he was concious or not and would hear her if she spoke to him.
"Are you like some kind of idiot," She said sharply as the boy seemed responsive though somewhat pitiful and in a lot of pain. "Has no one told you about that tree?" Somewhat reluctantly she reached down, grabbed him by the shoulders of his shirt and yanked him into a sitting position. "Stop complaining and just breathe normally, it's your own fault for going too near that thing!"

Sawyer was crying his eyes out. A girl came up and got him with her foot. "No. I was chasing a wolf pup and didn't notice where I was going." He grimaced and groaned from the pain when she yanked him up to a sitting position. He tried breathing normally as tears streamed from his eyes. "I can't feel... can't feel my legs." He said as the pain was almost too much for him. He thought she was a little mean, but at least she was there checking on him. "Can you carry me to the hospital wing or get someone?" He asked her.

Ivy forced herself to soften her expression slightly, the boy was crying something terrible and she felt perhaps she'd been a little too hard on him, he had just been attacked by that violent tree after all.
He'd said something about having been chasing a wolf pup? And not noticing where he was going. Well she supposed that was understandable, even if Ivy did think it was still pretty stupid. This time however she held her tongue and didn't tell him what she thought, she figured he was crying enough as it was. But Ivy had little sympathy when she saw stupidity in the mix.
"Carry you? Do I look like I can carry you?" Ivy asked in disbelief as the boy said he couldn't feel his legs. "Um, I can see if I can find somebody, don't know who else is around though. And I don't actually have a clue where the hospital wing is yet."
Then Ivy had an idea, she drew her wand and jabbed the boy hard in the leg with it. "Could you feel that?"

Sawyer still grimaced in pain. He knew he shouldn't chase wolf pups again. He was easily distracted. He shrugged as he was still there unable to really move on his own. "I don't know where it is either." He said with a smile. He watched as she tried to jab him in the leg. He shook his head. "I didn't feel that. I'm glad though that you found me, but my body is going numb." He hoped his father didn't find out. He was afraid of him calling him a wimp or something. He liked the friends he had made so far. He hoped Ivy would be another. "I've seen you around... I think. I'm Sawyer Bones." He said as he tried to get the conversation off his predicament.

Ivy frowned, he couldn't feel his legs at all. Now that couldn't be a good sign but if neither of them knew where the hospital wing was, or where they might find a nurse or even just another grown up that might be able to help the boy Ivy felt at a bit of a loss and she didn't like it. Ivy always knew what to do, that was like her thing, she could be a snotty little know it all really, not that she would ever word it quite like that.
The boy decided to introduce himself, Ivy thought it seemed like a strange thing to do at a time like that but at least he had stopped crying. His name, apparantely, was Sawyer and now that he mentioned it she did think she'd seen him around the school at some point.
"Well, nice to meet you. Perhaps would have been better under different circumstances. Oh and I'm Ivy by the way." She offered a smile as she dragged her long red hair away from her face. "So, um what exactly do you think we should do with you? You must have hurt...well something...and for all the magic I do know medical type things aren't one of them."

Leroy was out in the area doing who nows what. The best thing when it came to Leroy was don't ask, don't tell. Thinking he was alone, much to his surprise he strolled up on a young boy and girl. He studied the situation a moment before approaching. "Home boy, is you crazy? That there tree has taken more young chaps lives than I can count on me fingers and toes." Leroy scolded the young boy on the ground.
"And quit crying like a punk, this hott little gal gonna think you be a sissy" Leroy added with a nod to the girl who was trying to help. "So what we gonna do with ya boy, the hospital be closed cause they ain't nobody around. Hell they not been no adults around here fo years, cept when ole ABBA sneaks one of his women in to hide from her husband. I be the only grown here, heck boy the school not be even open up yet"
The boy on the ground looked to be about 10 or 11 but was scrawny as a twig. Couldn't weigh no more than 50 pounds. "Cmon now homie, shake it off and be tough. I gots a bain-aid, well that help ya?"

To Ivy's relief a adult turned up at the scene of Sawyer's accident. She hoped he could be more help than she had been, or at least if something really awful happened Ivy couldn't be held responsible for anything right? I mean wasn't her fault she was only a first year and her knowledge didn't yet extend to medicinal magic.
Ivy listened to the grown up talk, but she had to frown, not entirely sure exactly what he'd been saying. But she got the gist of it whe n he offered Sawyer a plaster. A plaster? That was the big solution, Ivy figured this would probably be about as useful as her jabbing him with her wand had been. But, well who was she to argue, maybe it was like some sort of magical plaster or something.
She watched the man for a moment, wondering if he did have any sort of trick up his sleeve to fix the boys ills. Ivy's opinion wasn't likely to change about the boy very soon, she already thought him rather a silly fool, but then he was a BOY, boys were always silly and foolish. It was then that Ivy noticed something moving about inside the man's hair, was there something living in there? She blinked her pale blue eyes at him wondering if she'd been imagining it entirely, but Ivy frowned and starred at the mans big hair possibly a little more intently than as polite.

"Yeah. I wished we had met differently. Nice to meet you too Ivy." Sawyer said still grimacing in pain. He shrugged his shoulders by her last question. He had no clue on what they were going to do. Then this guy with an amazingly big afro appeared. "I didn't see it, sir." He replied. "I was chasing a wolf pup because I wanted it as a pet." He said. "I'm not a sissy!" He exclaimed. He felt devastated that nobody was around yet. He shrugged his shoulders again. "I don't know. I can't feel my legs." Now for the blood part. There was a piece of wood lodged in his lower back. He didn't even notice it by this point. "I don't think that will help. Thanks though." He looked back at Ivy and the brief thing that was in the guy's hair.

Ivy shook her head as Sawyer talked some more. He'd wanted a pet, who on earth keeps a wolf cub as a pet? "Y'know those things don't stay little forever, personally wouldn't want a pet that could one day grow big enough to maul me." Ivy said in an exasperated tone, but then she wasn't much of a fan of dogs either. They could be domesticated sure, and she wasn't convinced wolves ever really could be, and even they couldn't be trusted entirely.
"Each to their own I suppose." She rolled her eyes slightly, boys really were silly. "Do you think he might need to go to St Mungo's?" Ivy asked the grown up who was making some attempt to help.

Elessar was patrolling the grounds when he saw Leroy Potter and a couple of young Gryffindors in the distance. One of them looked to be in dire straights. He turned into his animagus form so he could run faster towards them, and after he reached them, he turned back into a human. "Wassup Leroy, lemme take care of things, alrighty?"
Elessar uttered a charm, and with a wave of his wand, severed the limb of the tree. He knelt down near the boy and asked.
"Does that seem to be helping the pain?"

"I wouldn't let it maul you. You're too nice." Sawyer replied. "I'm completely numb now." He said as he felt so weird at the moment. Someone came up and changed in front of his eyes. He saw the guy got rid of the piece of wood in his back. He shrugged. "I can't really tell. I can't feel anything. My whole body is numb." Then he got to thinking about if his father found out. "My Dad is Skandar Bones. Please don't tell him about this please. You don't know what he is like when he is angry. He passes out most of the time, but still... he throws things."

"Don't worry, I've dealt with your dad in the past, anyway, Wingardium Leviosa." Elessar said as he levitated the young Gryffindor off the ground. This kid was in bad shape. He had to get him to St. Mungo's as soon as possible.
"If only Miss Avery or Rosamund were here." Elessar said ever so softly under his breath. Elessar wasn't exactly the brightest when it came to medicine.

Sawyer looked at the guy. "I'm not like him in any way. He wanted me to be in Slytherin, but as you can tell I went against him. He wanted me to be like him." He sighed a little. He was levitating off the ground. "I really do appreciate you helping me." He added trying to smile. He wondered who they were. The names he mentioned. He hoped to be fixed soon so he could run around with the new friends he made... like Ivy.
