Ashton took his seat into one of the compartments of the Hogwarts Express bringing his trunk and other stuff he had brought with him into the compartment and set his stuff next to him. He had missed this place so much since the summer. Being with mommy and daddy was really getting on his nerves. Finally he could be a at a place with less drama at home. But most of all he missed his best friend in the world Marissa Martinelli-Gambino.
While he waited for the train to depart from the station he took out some of his old school books and decided to review his stuff from last quarter. He opened his book of spells and opened it to some third year spells and looked at it a bit and then closed it and put it ontop of his trunk. Then he moved over to the other side of the compartment and took out his wand and cleared his throat and swicshed his wand "Expelliarmus". Not even seconds later his book on top of his trunk smashed against the wall. "I've still got it" said a smiling Ashton as he folded his arms against his chest.

There was one thing Derek dreaded the most about going back to school, the trip to it. First, there was the barrier, after three years he still haven’t get the hang of it and was lucky enough not to trip his way into Platform 9 and ¾. Then, well, then there was finding a compartment on the train. He was lucky in his first year, he managed to squeeze into a compartment with those his age, and his second however, he wasn’t so lucky. After almost missing the train Derek had to the long trip sharing a compartment with big burly seventh years. They were nice, but, well, there were lack of conversation between him and them seeing the massive age difference leaving him to spend the entire reading Hogwarts: A History cover to cover, something of which he had hoped not have to repeat any time soon as he walked passed one compartment after another, peering to see if there was any room for him to squeeze in.
Compartment after compartment with no luck and barely avoiding a hex, Derek was about to decide to just sleep out in the corridor when he opened the door to the next compartment and saw a boy casting a spell. He nearly laughed at the boy’s excitement for being to execute a spell perfectly, but he stopped himself before he could. Instead, he cleared his throat lightly, just enough to get the boy’s attention before saying; “Doyou mind sharing?”

A highly annoyed Marissa had been shoving her way up and down the narrow walkway of the train for the last ten minutes looking for Vero with no luck. She was confused and tired and cross and woe to him if he was playing a game with her today. Her brother took off as soon as they boarded, and she got separated from him by some giggling third years who seemed to be staring at his butt. Ew. Getting some glares but no other protests as she shoved the idiots out of her way to try and catch up, it was like he just disappeared into thin air. She hoped he'd find her before too long, but it was entirely possible he'd sleep the entire trip. She never knew with him these days.
And now she was having to search like a--no wait, THERE he was. She heard him talking to himself and the thumping in the compartment an she grinned. But somebody was trying to beat her to it. She scowled at the boy's back and looked over his shoulder at Vero expectantly. She gave him a look which clearly asked, "Can I toss his arse into the path, or is he your new potential bf?"
She dearly hoped it was the first choice.

Normaly Aggie would think taking the train to school was beneath her, but she had been out shopping in London, so why not sneak a ride and see who else was on board. Not to mention she lived just a few miles from the school. But who knows, there may be a new fresh crop of firsties to threaten and tease during the trip.
Yes, now that she was older, it was obvious that at times Aggie wore her skirts a little shorter, her tops a little tighter than school rules allowed. But in her mind, her dad ruled the world and what adult would dare question her. Strolling down the aisles of the train slowing briefly as she passes each booth loving every second of the attention from all the stares and whistles. A few jeers and choice words were mixed in, to those she simply tossed up her middle finger.
Just up in front of her Aggie spotted one of her Housemates and hopefully her friend. "Hello there Marissa, you ready to rock out Slytherin style this year?" Aggie asked while peering into the booth over Marissa's shoulder. Inside she spotted Ashton Vero, how that wannabe ever got sorted into Slytherin was a mystery to her.... damn Sorting Hat must have took up drinking....
The other boy Aggie couldn't place his face which meant he couldn't be that important. She cast him a quick evil smirk just to let him know not to mess with her. "Hey Vero, where are your manners? Can't you see that there are ladies present? Now move your ass before I cut off your big toes and stuff em in your ears!" Aggie added with a curt little smile.

Derek stopped himself before cringing. Slytherins; he thought. It was just his luck, well, it was officially worse than the year before. At least the year before, despite the students being older than he was, they were all Hufflepuffs and were all too kind. The first girl that came to join in the party was, well, typical. In fact, too much of a typical Slytherin that Derek felt offended just breathing the same air as her. There was a term ‘trying too hard’ and the girl definitely fit the criteria. Then again, Slytherins had been known for generation for their lack of intelligence and tendency t o act shout aggressively. Still, she looked older than he was and Derek was probably saved by another girl who decided that crashing the party would be a good idea.
Another Slytherin, just great; Derek thought to himself privately. But, what made Derek wanted to laugh was the first the second girl insistence to be called a ‘lady’. That was amusing, so much that Derek realized if any of them uttered another word, he might explode with laughter. Alright, so maybe the dangers of being hexed by them were great, but a good laugh was a good laugh. “My apologies,” Derek spoke, more to the boy than the girl, at least he have yet to show his less than social-able approach. “Didn’t realize you have company,” Slowly, Derek duck out of the compartment, the last thing he wanted was to be around them, but, he had a strange feeling that he would not get off quite so easily.

Still folding his arms against his chest Ashton heard the compartment door open and saw a fellow student slightly put his head into his compartment. He looked over at the fellow student who was indeed pretty good looking but not his particular house of choice. He was about to answer him when his best friend Marissa came into the compartment and asked him what to do with this boy. Ashton then gave a little smirk and said "let him stay just a bit longer the kid may have enough spunk to hang with the elite crowd."
He then looked back over at Derek and smiled politely before yet another person came into the compartment. It was Aggie, ABBA's daughter. Boy did he like to play with her! He really liked her attitude, probably because it was very closely related to his; In your face! He then heard her tell him to get out of her way. Without missing a beat he bowed down and extending his arm below his waist and said "yes your majesty" and then moved out of the way of her.
He then smiled over at Marissa and then looked over and the slowly escaping and called out after him "Where do you think your going? We aren't done with you yet." he looked over at Marrissa and Aggi smirking.
(( I am so rusty at this its been years since i have done this my apologies))

Alright, if it had come out of a Gryffindor, maybe, just maybe Derek wouldn’t have minded it so much. After all, every member of that house have at last at one point or another foolishly proved themselves in the most conventional way a mammal knows how. Well, some of them happened to be bright enough to hold conversations with, but, Derek hadn’t put that much of a hope for them to argue for long on an intellectual basis. Still, a Slytherin referring to himself as an ‘elite’; that was just too funny for Derek to ignore. Alas, he bit his tongue down hard and does not allow an expression to betray him. He remained stoic even when the boy sarcastically the second girl as; your majesty.
Of course, true to their roots and just as Derek had expected, no Slytherins would have allowed him to slide away without at least finding a dozen or more ways to humiliate him. There was only one thing; Derek didn’t really care about them or their existence. Derek craned his neck, not bothering to turn back completely. “Finding another compartment,” He said in his matter-of-fact tone, as if it was too obvious and that it was foolish for the boy not to realize it. “I’m sure there’s a few more down there,” He added, pointing towards the direction he was heading. Again, he knew that it was only a matter of time before he would be cornered.

"Finding another compartment?" Ashton repeated back to the boy. "Why, did we not give you a warm enough welcome in ours?" Ashton again looked back at Marissa and Aggie they hadn't talked for a while, maybe they were just seeing how he could handle the situation. He then looked back at Derek and smiled. "Well, ok if you really want to go find another compartment i can check to see if anymore are open." said Ashton as he opened back up the compartment door looked out and saw that there were no more compartments left open left on the train car. Closing the compartment door again and looking at the Ravenclaw boy he sad calmly, "Sorry dude, I just looked outside all of the compartments in this train car are taken, and i believe the train is about to depart." Ashton then look at the watch on his hand and saw it was 10:58am. It had been for three years now the Hogwarts Express always departed at 11am and on time. "So since the train is about to depart Derek, I don't believe its a good idea to go train car hopping... I wouldn't want you to get hurt." said a smirking Ashton.
Now Ashton found himself rubbing his chin and circling around the boy surveying him. Then Ashton stopped in front of the boy and extended his arm for the Ravenclaw boy to shake. "My name is Ashton, I can be your best friend or your worst enemy."

Marissa merely grinned and winked at Aggie. It was good to see her again even though she couldn't recall ever seeing the other girl on the train to school before. She dodged the other boy's attempt at leaving and simply stepped around him to slide in next to Ashton.
"Mi Amore!" she shrieked gleefully and threw her arms around him. She hadn't seen him in what felt like ages and owls simply didn't cut it for her. Snickering as she watched him circle the unfortunate Ravenclaw, she sat down graclessly as the train started with a jolt and she jerked into the corner of the seat. She observed Aggie out of the corner of her eye as she fumbled in her bag for her uniform robes. The other girl was much braver than Marissa, and probably more...what was the word? Sophisticated? Mature? Adventurous, definitely. Marissa herself had been wearing her robes over a simple dress, similar in color to each other, and the dress nearly as long as the robes covering it. Her mother was usually the one in charge of her wardrobe, at least at home, and while Marissa admired her tastes, she couldn't help but wonder what she would look like dressed like Aggie. She'd never be able to pull it off, she was too pale, too tall, too thin and too nervous to get away with it. Marissa's only consolation was that they were just opposite enough to accentuate each others best features. She hoped.
She stopped thinking this over and began tugging on Ashton with one hand and waving madly at Aggie with the other. "Come on Ash, you're going to scare the poor guy off. Let's just sit down and catch up! Come on Aggie, shut the door and come over, I want to get a better look at you, I love your outfit!"

Ashton looked at the boy some more and then felt Marissa grab him. He smiled a big grin as she said "mi amor" 'You have to love your friends' Ash thought as he continued to smile. He then took Marissa advice and backed off the boy that wasn't the right way to get a date, scaring them off so he went to where Marissa was sitting and joined her. 'Yeah there is a lot we need to catch up on, oh yeah the outfit. I had it made when me and my parents where shopping . Its custom made no one in London or even the world has the exact one as mine" he said now showing off his outfit to Marissa. "You know i can get you a good deal and get you a custom made outfit too. We are really good friends with the shop owners. By the way i shop there i feel like i am sending the shop owners kids to muggle college." he said and laughed a bit and began to tell Marissa what happened during the summer.
"As you know my family likes to go somewhere every summer so this year we went to Madrid. It's like my second time there first time when i was five. Its a beautiful city." he said now recollecting the Summer trip to Madrid. "We went to Reina Sofía one of the Art museums there. My mom love art somehow i really don't seem to grasp it just yet. Maybe a muggle art class would help me grasp some of these concepts. We went to a few cathedrals and Dad took me to a bull fight. You see a lot of crazy things there like for instance I saw two grown men fighting over the winner and in Spanish too it was extremely crazy. However I found some friends there, we were there for like a week. And met this cool guy and his friends we went to Macumba its like this club there Muggles are really too much. So for the most part I had fun... oh and i bought you something." he said as he pulled out a leather bag and handed it to Marissa. "I got this at a flee market there. Dirty place but some pretty cool stuff. I got one for myself Its in my trunk I will be using it a lot for carrying my books and assignments." he said as he smiled

Those select few who really got to know Aggie would tell you that she wasn't near the b---h that she sometimes made herself out to be. She was a true Slytherin and did have her moments, but mostly a good girl. Maybe not the best first impression, but given a chance she could be a loyal and trusting friend.
"Oh nonesense, ummm....... ?" Her comment directed to Derek since his name and yet to be mentioned in her presence. "There is plenty of room here with us. I promise not to hurt you as long as you tell me your name. My name is Agnetha Faltskog but Aggie will do unless I'm mad at you...." The poor boy, with so much happening so fast, he probably didn't realize that Aggie was teasing.
As the train started Aggie ruffled Dereck's hair and slid into the seat across from Ashton and Marissa. "Well stranger, are you just going to stand up the whole trip?" Aggie added patting the spot next to her "Just don't let me catch you trying to look up my skirt" Teasing once more with a playfull giggle. "That goes double for you Vero... I know you all to well" Giving his knee a light tap with her foot.
The train was now almost up to full speed while all this time Aggie waited for a break in the conversation to try and steal a few beauty tips from Marissa. Aggie was no slouch in that department but she couldn't get over how soft and shiney Marissa's hair looked, not to mention the sily smoothness of her skin...her face just glowed. But as usual once Ashton's mouth opened it kept going and going. Ten minutes was all she could take, almost at the point of screaming out Vero shut the hell up!
"Candy?" Aggie finally blurted out pulling a mixture of sweets from her bag. Taking one of the loli pops for herself, unwrapping it and inserting it into her mouth "BLAH, grape? I specifically asked for cherry!" Yanking the sucker from between her lips and just as quickly leaned forward and plunger it into Dereks mouth

Considering all of his options while taking a glance at his watch, Derek knew there were little to nothing he could do. There was no way he would be allowed to sit out along the corridor, it would be a matter of time before he would get an earful even if he attempted to. There was also another thing, the boy’s last statement; enemy or friend. Under any other circumstances, Derek would have been quite happy to stalk away. But, he figured, it would be wiser to make friends than enemy. Well, friends for the duration of the trip to Hogwarts at least. There was something at the back of his mind that doubted that the yet formed bond would last longer. “Fair enough,” Derek muttered before shaking the boy’s hand briefly. Whatever it was, he was going to keep himself on high alert, just in case. Without warning, the first girl flung herself onto the boy named Ashton, which was lucky for Derek who had moved slightly for his earlier post. Unsure of how to act, he allowed himself to grin, it shouldn’t hurt compare to the sombre look he was wearing earlier on.
Hovering at the entrance, Derek continued to listen to trio talked and getting reacquainted. It was a strange sight, but he kept his opinion private. It was only a matter of time before he would be their subject of interest enough, that much Derek already knew and surely enough, he was noticed by the second girl who seemed to have tone down her confrontational behaviour. Still, Derek was on his guard and nearly flinched when the girl starting to ruffled his hair. He allowed her to pass and took a seat first before taking her statement as an invitation; Derek too stepped into the compartment and took a seat next to the girl. He made not comment of the girl’s cheekiness and allowed his thoughts floated away as the train started to move, but his ears were definitely still listening to every bit of the conversation they were having.
“No, thank you,” Derek refused quickly. He wasn’t sure the offer was made by Aggie to him, nonetheless, he felt obligated to respond. “Not much of a sweet tooth,” He added, allowing a smile to crack his blank expression but it was soon broken by Aggie who decided it was sanitary for her to share the lollipop with him. “Uhh...” He jerked, taking the candy out and holding it away from him like it was a disease. By now, he had learned their names; the boy was Ashton Vero (he had yet to determined the depth of his slyness), the girls were Aggie (who was overly comfortable with him) and Marissa (who seemed cheerful), but, they have yet learned his. “Sorry, but, I’m not a fan of sweet things,” He stated, holding out the candy with an apologetic look on his face.

After Ashton gave his gift to Marissa and was interrupted by Aggie with her love for candy he looked over at the boy Derek, that was after he agreed for a piece of candy and again looked at Derek "So Mr. Ravenclaw who i didn't get a name from yet what year are you?" he asked trying to get some conversation going

Marissa began excitedly transferring her things into the new bag, compartmentalizing carefully, pretending she was going to stay organized this time and not let everything fall into the bottom by the end of the train ride from constant digging and searcing, like she always did. She made that promise every month, until she lost something then had to reorganize all over again, throwing out piles of receipts, half notes torn to hide names, homework notes, the odd floo or owl post address, and so forth.
Marissa almost screeched with laughter when she saw Aggie stick the lollipop in Derek's mouth. She'd never get away with that herself, didn't have quite the same reflexes. She threw a paper at Derek's head, and began to chant, "Names! The people want names!!!" and began wadding up more in preparation for resistance. For once all those odd papers she had been hoarding were coming in handy.

"Hey Aggie, you might want to keep your legs crossed. At least until you retrieve your panties from the cabin you tossed them into a few rows back. Those boys are really in a heated bidding war to see who gets to keep them...just saying" And with that Aggie's twin brother was gone. With their constant rivalry and the blank expression on his face, it was impossible to tell if he was joking or not.
