"Africa?" said Alexander, impressed. "You're like ... a sexy, er, nomad, right? Is that what they're called?" He didn't voice it, but whenever he thought of nomads, he thought of igloos. But that was just idiotic so he kept his mouth shut. "Experience is always good ..." he said offhandedly, not knowing what else to say. It was attractive to him that she had travelled to all sorts of different places. That's what he had always wanted to do, but he tended to be rooted to one spot. Plus, he always seemed to develop a fondness for one place, and he would never want to leave.
His cheeks tinged pink once more when she took his hand, but he didn't let this distract him. "No problem, now you have something here that's almost as beautiful as you," he said, smiling charmingly. He tightened his grip around her hand, although not too tightly, because then he might accidentally cut off circulation or something. "Don't worry, you're in good hands. Quite literally." Alex held up their interlocked hands. Afterwards, he scolded himself mentally for the absolutely terrible joke. When he was nervous, that tended to happen. Not that he was extremely nervous. Just a bit.
He led her out of the tent and towards the woods. The moon overhead shone brightly, almost completely full except for a sliver missing. There were only a few clouds in the midnight blue sky. Mmmhm, this was an absolutely, positively perfect setting. Could you get anymore romantic? Not unless you were at a sunny beach, you really couldn't. The night have given him the mood, so now he just needed to work his magic. Which, in all honesty, shouldn't be too difficult, seeing as he was a bit of a wizard.
"Soo ... we should play some sort of get-to-know-you game," he said after a few moments of silence. They had entered the forest now, and the moon was almost blocked from view. The only source of light was the moonlight breaching the canopy of the trees. Alexander turned around, taking her other hand in his, and walked backwards so that he could look at her fully. Either this could be really embarrassing or startlingly impressive. I mean, a man who can walk backwards? That's like, the total package. He gave her another crooked smiled as he said, "Do you know any? I dunno, I'm bad at this stuff." He chuckled, shaking his dirty blonde hair from his eyes.

"A sexy nomad?" she laughed, shaking her head. "We lived in these tent things with curtains to protect us from the bugs. It's different from what we live in now, and I've learned to become so thankful for what I have" Kiaro said, shaking her head seriously. And it was a serious matter. People died everyday from Malaria and infections and such, that it made their whole mission very somber.
She laughed again at his joke and the fact that his cheeks were more red than her own. "Aww, thanks, I appreciate it so much. It's so kind of you to treat me so well" Kiaro said. She knew why she had been full. Because her stomach was filled with butterflies. The squeeze of his hands felt very comforting, and Kiaro knew she wouldn't want to be anywhere except where she was now.
His hands led the way out of the tent and into the dark depths of the forest. Her whole body was turning into that of a butterfly. She felt she could fly above them and turn into something inhuman. Her stomach was fluttery, and now her heart was doing the same. But she felt so comfortable around him; Like they had known each other for so many years, and here they were, like a reunion, lusting for each other. She glanced up at the perfect sky. Twilight. She stared longingly at the small clouds making a big color impact.
"Yes we should" Kiaro said, staring up at the sky to think of the game, but her eyes ended up on him and she lost all thought. Soon enough, her hand was in a grasp with his and she felt welcomed and confident because of him. "Heh, I'm no better" she said, looking away and into the woods. "But I think I have an idea; how about we share stories.. about our lives.." she trailed off. They had come to the tiny slope down the forest, and they both walked carefully, hand-in-hand.
"So tell me about you" she said in wonder, pulling him closer to her, to feel more like he did.

"Pfft, bugs? Come on, I had to deal with obnoxious American blokes. And we didn't have any curtains to protect ourselves from them, mind," he said, nodding siriusly. He had stayed in a small house with several fellow wizards, fresh out of their magical education. One of them had been one of his best friends and fellow Ravenclaw from Hogwarts, Jimmy Rucklez. Last Alexander had heard from him, Jimmy had married an American swimsuit model named "Jasmine". The other fellows in his dormitory had been from Germany, France, and even a couple from India. Needless to say, it had been quite the culture shock.
As he continued to walk backwards, Alex felt extremely ... well, he couldn't quite place it, but it was a very nice feeling. He had been with quite a few girls, but he didn't care about too many of them. There had only been one and she had taken him for granted. Ever since, he had taken girls lightly. But, back home, it was as if he finally had the chance for a new start, a clean slate. And he was going to make the best of the opportunity. To hell with that Heather girl. He could score sooo much better than her, and trust me, he was going to. Kiaro was already much higher on his scale than she had been; she was more than just a pretty face. She was smart, confident, everything. And Heather? Well, she was a bit of a sklut.
"Our lives?" he murmured as she pulled him closer to her. It unsteadied his feet for a bit, but he caught himself before he fell. As they continued down the slope, he figured it would probably be safer if he stopped walking backwards but instead fell in step behind her, but then he wouldn't be able to look at her as much. Soo, Alexander settled for walking very slowly, cautious of the small turrets of grass. Hmmm, if they fell, things could get interesting ... BUT HE WASN'T GONNA DO THAT ON PURPOSE. Falling twice in one night? That would make him look like a complete idiot.
"Tell you about me? Ahh, but I'm so boring, honestly," Alex said, a small, modest smile on his face. After a few moments he heaved a fake sigh and said, "But if I must, I suppose." He thought carefully, trying to think of where to begin. "Well. My full name is -- and don't laugh -- Alexander Percival Novus. I know, the middle is absolutely terrible, but apparently it was one of the middle names of Albus Dumbledore, who my parents practically idolize. Speaking of which, my parents are named Alexander and Hannah, and they used to work at the Ministry, but recently quit because of all that stuff that's been happening. Uhh. I'm twenty-four, graduated from Hogwarts, and was a former Ravenclaw. I have two siblings, as you know. Troy, who is younger than me by seven years, and ..." He paused momentarily, not sure if he would be able to say it. But, he attempted, and was startled to find out that he didn't even sound all that worried. "And Alison, my twin sister."
He stopped, not exactly sure what else to say. Should he start talking about the things he liked? Or should he save that for later? Deciding to ask her about where she came from, first, Alexander said, "So, what about you? Any secrets I should know about?" He winked at her, which he probably shouldn't have done because he almost fell.

She couldn't believe her luck. She had managed to meet a guy with a decent sense of humor. She couldn't suppress her laughs as her grip on his hands became stronger, trying to keep her body up from the sudden need to fall to the ground and roll around laughing. She was lucky, certainly. And she was falling head-over-heels, irrevocably in love with him every second. She didn't know if it was the same with him, but she felt her heart pound everytime she tried to read his eyes, tried to read his soul...
"Boring?" she laughed, rolling her eyes. "I seriously doubt that. Everyone has a story to tell; Everyone has a life that they live" Kiaro paused. It was enough to get him going. Discussing his life was pretty easy. She made several mental notes in her head. If she ever got the chance to meet Alex and Troy's parents, she was certainly going to make a note of their names. She didn't laugh at his name. Actually, she felt it was quite loyal, and figuring it might be because his parents were Hufflepuffs. She smiled at his Ravenclaw-ness. Being smart was definitely sexy. She didn't like dumb brutes who didn't know how to tie their shoes. In fact, it was almost a relief for him to say Ravenclaw. Kiaro wouldn't have minded it so much.
"I'm sorry" she half whispered to Alexander, her thumb tracing over his hand as he said that Alison was his twin sister. She had no idea that of the missing was actually his twin. Not only his flesh and blood, but of the same mindset too. It was quite hard to hear that his own family member was missing. Even when Troy said it, it hit close to the heart. She couldn't imagine any of her family missing. It just made her heart tremble with fear.
"My life is okay" she paused, trying to think of the things she should say or leave. "I had a pretty rough start to my life, as a child, growing up.. but as soon as I got to Hogwarts, I made the best of it. I was sorted into Slytherin" a soft, sly smile appeared on her lips, her own smile turning crooked, "and have been a fan since. It's okay, I suppose. Has it's ups and downs, like any other house" she shrugged. "I graduated a few terms ago, and I hit the ripe age of twenty-one" she shuddered slightly. Wow, was she that old? She hadn't even said her age in forever. She certainly didn't feel that old. "I was actually suppose to graduate a term earlier, but was held back a year, because of my birthday or whatever" she said, waving it off, when it had in fact been because she was a child; Everything was suppose to go her way, and when it didn't, oh well.
"My full name is Kiaro Lynn Matuchi; I was born on Christmas and I have a younger sis.. she got her acceptance letter but unfortunately she hasn't been around enough. I don't think my parents wanted her coming back to school, but I don't talk to them anymore" she shrugged carelessly. She looked down at his hands. Hey, her past had been hard. But like she said, Hogwarts had made up for it and meeting new people was what kept her going. Like Alexander.
As soon as they made it down the small hill, Kiaro's hands unwound from Alexander's and instead her fingers inched up his arms, getting accustomed to this man in front of her. "Honestly, Alexander Percival Novus, you really shouldn't dazzle people like that" she said breathlessly. Just staring into his face was making her short of breath.

A half-smile apparent on his face, his blue gaze searched Kiaro's face. "Yeah, but some people's stories are more boring than others," he pointed out matter-of-factly. Alexander listened intently as she began to speak, wanting to know more about this woman that he hadn't met much longer than an hour ago. His eyes focused on no where but her face, he severely wanted to kiss her. He knew that it was wrong, however, and he wanted to get to know her more on a mental, emotional level instead of just a physical one. A lot of his relationships tended to be physical, and look where they got him.
"Oooh, Slytherin. I dunno, everyone gives them a bad rep, but some of them aren't that bad. Same with Ravenclaws. People always think we're a group of stuck-up snobs who like to do nothing better in their spare time than study." He crinkled his nose in disgust. Reading wasn't terrible, but he hated people assuming that he loved to do it. "Twenty-one, huh? So you aren't much younger than me ..." He hated that he couldn't remember seeing her around Hogwarts. She was so gorgeous, how could he have missed her? If he had paid attention, they probably could've been dating already.
"If you were born on Christmas, that must mean you were a preseeent," said Alexander, giving her a small, quick wink. His joking was swiftly dropped, however, when she seemed to be overcome by a bought of ... well, whatever it was, it certainly wasn't happiness. He wanted to ask her what had happened with her parents, but didn't feel that it was his place. He didn't want to blow things. "Yeaaah, I dunno, parents are different ... Back when I was a kid, they practically ignored me, only paying attention when I attempted to blow stuff up here at school. But then as I got older, they wouldn't leave me the hell alone." He smiled toothily, showing off his set of straight, white teeth.
Finally, they were at the bottom of the hill. Thank God, he was getting worried. His legs could've kept walking down the hill forever, but they also probably would've gotten caught on some holes or mounds of dirt and caused him to fall. Alexander let her bring him closer to her, a huge, crooked smile adorning his lips. He raised an eyebrow and chuckled as she said something about dazzling people. "Oh, I dazzle you, do I? I wasn't aware that I was doing anything of the sort. You, on the other hand ..." He took a deep breath, as though steadying himself.

"This is true" Kiaro said in response to his statement about people's lives. While indeed some were quite humorous, others were dramatic, and others were just plain.. stupid. Living a life unlived is a life not worth living. As Kiaro thought this, she stared into his eyes. His eyes were staring right back at her and she felt a tremble run down her spine. She shivered slightly; The temperature was dropping slightly as they went further down the forest. It was definitely weird being led around the forest by someone you just met. The positioning was quite awkward.
It troubled both of them, it seemed, that they hadn't seen each other around Hogwarts. Honestly, could he have been so non existant in her life? Even the thought of not seeing him around school felt like her brain was going to explode. Was Hogwarts seriously that big enough not to notice such a man? Was it just a coincidence that this very man almost felt right onto her lap when she was viewing the stars; of which people often found their destiny? It's raining men was an understatement now.
"Yeah; Parents" she shook her head in response to his rant about his parents. She smiled at the mention of how they treated him. Yup, same with her own. She felt that now that she was older she could communicate more with her parents than she ever did. "A present? Aw, you're so sweet" Kiaro said, leaning in to give him a thank you peck on the cheek. As soon as her lips touched his cheeks, she could feel a hot glow on her own cheeks. She sighed as she looked at him. She had felt colder earlier, chilly even. But now she felt a sudden warmth escaping from her lips and crawling down to her toes, where she had kissed him. "How peculiar" she muttered, frowning at him in thught.
Their closeness was actually intimidating for people who didn't even really know each other. Kiaro's hands were stuck at the bend in his arms and that's where Alex's managed to be placed as well. "Me?" she swayed at the thought. Since when had she turned heads? The business was of others at the school. She felt quite ordinary, actually. This beauty he spoke of was complimentary, but she didn't know how he could see it. "How do I dazzle you?" she asked, continuing to steer him backward.

Alexander nodded in a matter-of-fact manner. "Yeah, I know it's the truth. I don't lie ... to people I like," he said, smirking playfully. He pulled himself closer to her as arrived under the leaves of a large oak tree. Stopping abruptly, he paid attention to how the moonlight shone across her face, how the soft wind twisted her hair. It was rather beautiful, honestly. Almost like one of those Muggle fairytales. Ashella, wasn't it? Something of that nature. Or maybe more like Sleeping Sexy, or whatever. Hmmm. He really needed to catch up on his fairytales. You never know when they could come in handy.
When she gave him a peck on the cheek, he pretended to be completely nonplussed. Inside, however, his stomach was shivering and churning and practically doing cartwheels. He silently willed the slight flush to deplete, causing his face to remain free of color. "What's peculiar?" he asked curiously, his tone soft. Alexander leaned his face forward. His first thought was to kiss her rather passionately, but he changed his mind halfway there. In his opinion, he would seem rude, kissing during the first couple hours of meeting. So, instead, his lips brushed softly against her forehead. Now, he wasn't able to ignore the heat in his face, and he let it creep up willingly.
"Yes, you," he murmured, leaning forward once again and touching his nose to hers. Chills sparked down his spine at the touch and he inhaled deeply once more. "That's ... a good question. It may involve the fact that we met merely hours ago and I am extremely fascinated by everything that you do, everything that you are. I can't take my eyes off of you ... and I'm a little scared, honestly, but a little exhilarated, too. This has never happened to me before." Alex felt his heart beating against his ribcage. He was sure that she could hear it, too, from how close they were. He moved his hands down and intertwined them with hers. Throwing caution to the wind, he was about to just kiss her, until ...
The breeze that had previously been blowing was now a gust, mixed with large drops of rain. There was a loud thunderclap suddenly, causing Alexander to jump away from Kiaro. Swearing under his breath, he wrapped one of his arms around her shoulders and said, "I'm thinking this is our cue to go back to the tent, yeah?" The young man chuckled slightly, despite the suddenly terrible conditions. For some reason, this seemed like a story, sort of. Didn't this happen in stories? He could've swore it had. Giving her another peck on the forehead, he began to run as fast as his soccer-trained legs could carry him. Although, not fast enough to leave Kiaro behind.

"Thank you" Kiaro whispered. It didn't seem right, in a moment so beautiful, to talk above a whisper. The moon had turned into a wispy, almost non visible figure in the sky, surrounded by stars. It didn't seem to open it's light to their bodies, only their faces. He was truly amazing. The way he looked was impeccable, his smile was perfectly imperfect, and his movement was neither graceful nor clumsy. It was comfortable. His hair was unkept, but Kiaro would not have liked it any other way. His eyes, a beautiful blue color that seemed almost gray under the moonlight. She had to exhale quickly and gain some breath before being lightheaded, which was definitely not fun.
"Peculiar.." she paused, closing her eyes and thinking about it. But she didn't have much time to think about it as his warm lips pressed against her forehead. She equally matched his flush with her own and a self-conscious smile crept on her face. "The feeling" she gasped, letting her nose touch his at this new feeling of love. "It's so, new to me, like I've never experienced it before" she managed, glancing into his eyes and taking a deep breath. She held her breath as his eyes spoke his words, as if she was feeling them too.
"Yes," she whispered, "I feel that too" a steady pulse developed in both their hearts and their lips almost brushed when a sudden downpour alerted them from their feelings. She cursed about the same time he did, although unaware of his swearing, and let him wrap his arm around her. Her normally long blonde hair looked like a dark brown under the current conditions. Ughh. Wet. She nodded in response to the tent. Yes. Warmth. She shivered in the cold, chasing after him, as if it was a race to the finish line. They ran up the hill they had come down to begin with and Kiaro let out a sigh as they both raced to the tent.
Running underneath and catching her breath, Kiaro couldn't help but laugh. Peculiar indeed. As soon as they both had caught their breath, Kiaro's fingers intwined with Alexander's again and she led him into the tent. She shivered, now that she was out of the cold and zipped the tent shut, keeping the rain from soaking the tiled ground on the inside of her tent. She left a little gap open for some air and turned to face Alexander.
"Well, the pie's on the counter, you can still have that if you're feeling hungry. Um, as far as clothes," she looked at her bedroom, and then back at him, "Sorry about that" she said, biting her lip. Wow, this was truly awkward. She wasn't gunna like.. let him freeze in his clothes or anything, but she didn't really have clothes his size. "I can turn the fireplace on though, to warm up and whatnot. Hot chocolate will be on the stove, meanwhile" Kiaro called, entering her bedroom quickly, stripping herself of her wet clothes and into a nice pair of pajamas. Ahh comfortable. In the process, however, she felt guilty for Alex. Nothing to wear. Hopefully, he would warm up pretty quickly. She tied her hair into a big, messy bun and returned to the kitchen, putting on some hot chocolate and looking back at Alexander, flicking the fireplace on.
"Well, it certainly does feel warm in here" she said, wiping the oncoming sweat off her forehead. She retrieved the hot chocolate, once it was done, and returned to him, setting his cup down on the table near them. She couldn't help but think about in the woods, how they felt so much alike and all. It was certainly overwhelming.
"I hope you're comfortable" she whispered quietly, looking back into his eyes for reassurance.

Finally, they made it to the tent, nothing below soaked. Honestly, if Alexander hadn't been trying to think through the haze that Kiaro was causing in his brain, he would have been intelligent enough to bring up the idea of Apparating straight to the tent. But, of course, he couldn't think straight when he had been so close to her ... Shivering slightly, he let himself be led into the tent. He didn't tear his eyes away from the back of Kiaro's sopping head. Even though they were both soaking wet and probably not all that attractive to everyone else, he couldn't take his eyes off of her.
"Hmm, no, I'm not really hungry, actually. Which is odd." Normally, the young man ate anything and everything laid out before him. Except when he was frightened, embarrassed, or ... nervous. He suspected that it was the last option. Anxiety or nervousness could be the only answer, seeing as he had never felt this way before about anybody. "Ah, right," Alex murmured, picking at the bottom of his soaked blue-and-white striped, long-sleeve shirt, "these. Don't worry, I'll survive. People manage to live in a lot worse conditions than wearing damp clothing." He flashed a quick, crooked smile in her direction.
When she disappeared off to her room to change, Alexander sat himself down on the rug in front of the fireplace, waiting for it to be flicked on. She came back out, clad in pajamas and her hair up in a bun. He didn't trust himself to stop breathing for even a second, afraid that if he did he would pass out and look like an idiot. There was sudden heat and he was vaguely aware that she must have flicked the fireplace on. Kiaro disappeared once more from the room (to grab the hot chocolate she had mentioned earlier, he suspected). With nothing else to gaze at, he found his eyes concentrated on the flames rising up in the grate.
"Yeah ... warm ..." he said offhandedly, not exactly sure of what he was saying. The scent of chocolate reached his nostrils, alerting him that she had returned. His eyes immediately flickered from the flames to Kiaro. He picked up the hot chocolate from the table and took a sip, still observing her from over the steaming cup. He regretted taking a sip so soon, however, seeing as it was still incredibly hot. He coughed and spluttered as the liquid burned his throat. Once he recovered, he gave the young woman a thumbs up before setting the cup back down on the table.
"Of course I'm comfortable, I'm with someone named Kiaro. You know her?" said Alexander, a sheepish, sly grin crossing his face. He reached up slightly, grabbing her hand and intertwining his fingers with hers, pulling her down to sit next to him.

Kiaro smiled at him when he said he wasn't hungry. Being a Novus, Kiaro assumed it would be different, but apparently not. Kiaro thought something must be on Alex's mind, so she didn't pursue the matter any further. If he was hungry, he would eat. Kiaro wasn't going to force him to eat and by now, he knew he was welcome to chow down on anything he wanted to around the house. His wet clothing clung to his body and Kiaro felt a little remorse for the guy. She wished desperately she had guy clothing, but the last guy she had been with.. she threw out any evidence of him, as if he hadn't existed in her life. He had been nothing compared to how Alexander was now. She felt content around him, and glad to be around him. It was certainly a different situation than with the other guy. But Kiaro looked apologetically at him, while she had nice, warm clothing on.
Kiaro gasped as he drank the hot chocolate when it was much too hot to do so and watched him try to cool his mouth down. She looked at him, full of worry, but even through his thumbs up show, Kiaro still felt guilty. Maybe she should have let it stay out a while before offering it to him? He seemed to speak very few words as the flames roared in front of them. And instead of looking into the fake flames, Kiaro found herself gazing into the eyes of Alex. They were both staring at each other, and they weren't planning on stopping.
"Yeah, I know her. I wouldn't say I'm friends with her, but we're more like aquaintances" Kiaro laughed, his hands matching with hers as she was dragged closer to him. The heat made things all the hotter next to him and she smiled as she looked at the flames. "And I'm with someone named Alexander Novus. He's one hot boy" Kiaro said, looking up into his eyes again and leaning her head on his shoulder nonchalantly. The heat made her do crazy things like this, and being all close together, in a very large tent, well it added to the romance rapidly building up.
Kiaro stared down at their hands, together, and Kiaro couldn't help but take her other hand and place it on top of their hands, as if they were doing some secretive handshake. An initiative handshake. Their hands were soft in the room and slowly, Kiaro brought her hand to meet his cheek.

The taste buds on his tongue were slowly numbing, at about the same rate that the room was filling with heat. He was still damp, but his clothes seemed to dry miraculously fast. Only then did he realize that he could have sped this up a hell of a lot faster if he had, once again, remembered to use magic. Damn, he was a Ravenclaw. His mind wasn't supposed to slip up like it was. He was supposed to be on top of things at all time -- in a nonsexual way. Alexander gave himself a quick mental slap. And to make it even worse, she seemed to feel bad about it, even though it wasn't her fault.
"Only acquaintances, huh? That's a shame, really. She's really beautiful and amazing," he said matter-of-factly. He traced gentle shapes into the palm of her hand with his thumb. "Hot? Nah, I've met that kid. Not all he's cracked up to be." Alex wrinkled in nose in disappointment, acting as though knowing this "Alexander Novus" kid was a disgrace. He then bit his bottom lip when she leaned her head on his shoulder, his first thought being that he was still slightly wet and seeing as she was dry, didn't want to get her wet, too. "Ahh, see, he's all wet, too," he murmured gently. He hoped that perhaps she didn't mind it, because he liked the feeling of being so close.
His heart began to beat furiously when she brought her hand up to meet his cheek. Suddenly, his unused hand on his other side felt strangely unused. Deciding that he needed to do something with that thing, he picked it up and placed it gently on the side of her neck. Alexander leaned forward, deciding that the time for being "appropriate" had long passed. He touched his lips to hers, cradling her neck in one hand and gripping her hand in his other. Who cares if they had just met a couple hours ago? He felt like he had known her for much longer.

She grinned at him. "Ha well. Beautiful and amazing? Those are atributes hard to come by" she said, her head resting peacefully on his shoulder. Kiaro wondered how it was possible to even hear Alexander. The loud claps of thunder, the roaring winds, and the downpour against the tent made her ears hurt with the sudden overpower of noise. But those things felt tuned out, compared to Alexander and herself. All Kiaro could hear was the small thump of their hearts, thumping through their rib cages and clothing. Loud enough to make it's way to her ears.
"If he's wet, I don't care" Kiaro said in a voice just above a whisper. The setting was too perfect to matter. "I like him just the way he is" she said softly, closing her eyes and sighing as the feeling of his hand on hers made her body feel loose and calm. A smile fluttered to her face as she tried to gain control of her senses. Her stomach was wild with butterflies, her feet were starting to tingle, and she felt the muscles in her body contracting rapidly. His clothing was damp against her, and Kiaro felt another relief. The temperature was picking up next to them, and his dampness just cooled her body off.
As Kiaro stroked his cheek, Kiaro watched as his hand darted out from beside him and onto her neck. Her pulse was drumming against his hand and she had to tell herself not to hypervenilate. Her heart began strumming as finally, their lips touched. It was subtle and quick and as Kiaro broke it off, she stared at his lips, her eyes glancing up to his and then back down to his lips. She was unaware she was breathing, it was happening so quick. All that Kiaro knew was that the butterflies had ceased when she had kissed him, and restarted when she had broke it off. Closing her eyes, she angled her head so her lips pressed against his again, except with more force.
Although it was true that they had just met hours before, Kiaro felt like it was the right thing to do. Like it was normal. Maybe it was the whole Troy snogging people thing, and it just felt normal for Alex to kiss her now.. but Kiaro felt her body and mind scream yes. Her lips parted as they became accustomed to the passionate kiss.

"Damn right they are," he murmured, his voice barely audible above the storm raging outside of the tent. "Much too difficult to come by ... Which is why when you do find someone with those traits, you should hold onto them." Alexander tightened his grip on her soft hand. His lips formed into his common, crooked smile, as he looked down into her blue eyes. Hmm. They matched his. Except hers were much more beautiful, in his opinion. Same went with the hair. His looked a lot more ... grubby, so to speak, as though he didn't brush it often enough. Even though hers was constricted in with a hairtie in a bun, he had seen it earlier, and it was definitely amazing.
His smile grew wider when she mentioned that she liked him just the way he was. Sure, it was an incredibly cheesy thing to say, but it made his stomach flutter cheerfully. Girls had said that to him before ... but it was immensely different. They were superficial, and he knew that they wouldn't have looked twice at him if they didn't find him attractive. Perhaps this was the same with Kiaro, but he really hoped not. Because if the same thing happened between him and her that had happened between him and Heather, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to take it. He'd probably swear himself off of women and become a monk, or something.
Alexander frowned slightly when she pulled away from the first kiss very quickly. What, was he bad at it, or something? But this thought was swiftly pushed from his mind when she pushed her lips to his for a second time, with much more force and passion. He kissed back with all that he had, removing his hand from being intertwined with hers and putting it on her cheek. His lips parted to match hers. Involuntarily, one of his hands darted to the back of her head, pulling her hair out of her bun. He wasn't exactly sure why he was doing this, but, oh well, too late for wondering.
He pulled away, breathing deeply. The young man gulped down the small lump that had arosen in his throat. "It's a tad warm in here, isn't it?" he whispered, feeling extremely light-headed and giddy. Taking one of his hands, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his wand. With a slight flick, the flames in the fireplace dulled down, until they were much smaller than before. The room was now only housing a glow, the only other light coming from the occasional flash of lightning outside. "Mmm ... I don't know if I could go home in these conditions. I might have to stay here for the night," he said as he kissed the side of her lips gently. This time, he was aware that he could Disapparate, but hopefully she had forgotten.

At his words, that flew into her like a gift from the heavens, she completely melted in his arms. Why must he be.. so amazing? His kind words only flattered her even more and the smile that came on her face was almost replaced with one of his crooked smiles. It was a crooked smile of being dazed though. His breathtaking appearance did a number on how coherent she was able to be and she was just so incoherent that she could barely feel his grip getting tigher and smiled again, looking down at their hands, together.
"You're right. And I think I'm holding onto them right now" she said, her voice breaking slightly as again, he went in for her mouth. She felt a distinct tug at the back of her head and a second later, her hair spread out around her in a flash of gold. Her hand roamed his shaggy dirty blonde hair, finding his ear and placing her hand on it. Although Kiaro didn't have much experience in kissing anyone, she found that she was a natural when she was paired with a good partner.
Kiaro stopped kissing for a brief minute to give Alexander a thankful glance. The heat had picked up and she was no longer cold and as she felt him, the dampness in his clothes was being to disappear. In this moment, Kiaro had a chance to glance out at the lightening spreading around them. Something about it made it totally romantic, as if the heavens above were disagreeing with their actions. It was fun to rebel, Kiaro had realized. And it was incredibly interesting to watch the lightening light up the world outside as they had no part in the world, except what they were doing in the tent.
Kiaro found herself leaning against his damp clothing, her lips molding against his. Kiaro didn't know if she was brave enough to make any moves on him, because she was feeling suddenly nostalgic. About her last relationship. But maybe the fact that this felt so right was why they continued effortlessly. She told herself to remember to breathe as her body ended up on his lap. She did it gracefully, a small smile coming on her face as she did so.
"I'm sorry.. I'm not too good with guys" she apologized with a sad smile, looking at his face.

His cheeks took on a startling shade of crimson at her words, his normally charming manner was dropped as he was at a loss for word. Alexander pressed the tip of his nose to hers, ignoring the warmth that had nothing to do with the now half-dead fire not that far away. "You think I'm beautiful?" he chuckled. "You're so sweet. Most women tend to go for 'handsome' or 'sexy' or 'attractive', but honestly, I've never been called beautiful. You're just different than most, which is always a good thing."
A small, involuntary moan escaped his throat at the feeling of her hands in his hair. If he was going to be honest, he had always been a fan of the tugging at the hair thing, as masochistic as it sounded. Alex kissed her back, forcefully, running his own hands through her hair. He stopped reluctantly when she pulled away. She might have been paying attention to the weather outside, but he was much more absorbed in the angles of her face ... the contours ... the shadows that the flashes from the lightning made ... He bit the bottom of his now slightly swollen lip as he took it all in.
He didn't seem to have much time to do this, however, for they were quickly back at it. Alexander took a deep breath through his nose so that he wouldn't have to pull away. The former Ravenclaw was much too concentrated on the shapes and forms their lips took that he didn't even notice the slight weight in his lap. Once they stopped for her to utter a few words was when he noticed. He untangled his hands from her hair and snaked them around her body. "Could've fooled me," he murmured, kissing her neck gently.
As he continued to kiss her neck and her face, he decided to voice something that he had been thinking about all night. "Isn't it weird how we met by me tripping over you, and somehow, we managed to get to this? It seems extremely unlikely ..." Alexander had never been one to believe too much in fate. He was one of those guys who believed that you made your own destiny. But, somehow, here he was, and last he checked, he didn't make this happen. It seemed to have dropped from the sky ... quite literally, actually, and right on top of her.
