Giselle walked along the narrow isle on the hogwarts express. Her hazy emerald eyes were lined with the thickest coat of eyeliner and a bit of mascara to the best of her ability. Waking up to leave the life she once loved. A sigh escaped her tender lips. I wish I could be back with em.. It wasn't until the final day with her friend that she realized how much she would miss them. How much she was going to miss due to the unfortunate arrival of a letter. A school of magic had been her destiny since birth when she had accidentally made her uncle dissappear.
But it wasn't my dream.. she sighed, clutching tightly onto the latch of her trunk to restrain her tears. Being born to too magical parents left you with a determined future. Magic school, the magical university, and then a career as a ministry official, or a healer. That surprisingly was still undetermined. She laughed out of disgust, working her way into the last and only empty compartment. She just needed to be alone. She dragged her trunk in and let it drop to the ground with a loud bang and sat down.
She pulled her purple and black stripped hoodie over her head and let her bangs cover her saddened eyes. This wasn't how it was supposed to be... Giselle pulled out her headphones and placed them in her ear before putting on her I-pod on full blast. Anything to take the pain away.

"Hi can I sit with you?"
The voice of Lily Stone could be heard loud and clear throughout the train, as she made her way up and down the isle. It was hard for her to walk up it even though she was a small slim child, it was just incredibly narrow and she wondered how on earth the big guy in compartment number four managed to squeeze through. Just like the last lot of people Lily had seen the children just laughed at her and slammed the door hard in her face. All the compartments seemed to be full or if not full then the only spaces available were for people's hand luggage and Lily wasn't welcome there. Lily was welcome anywhere.
Groaning in pain from all the walking she made a point of checking her poor feet. As she had suspected they had rubbed and although she had had the shoes for a while she knew that as she hadn't worn them very often they would hurt. "Stupid...no....goood" she muttered under her breath as she slid her shoes off. Holding them in her hand she walked up the narrow isle once more but this time to the end. Her shoulder bag was slung over her shoulder and she was now pleased she hadn't bothered taken a trunk with her. She'd only gone home to visit her father for his birthday and now she was returning she wasn't sure why she had missed her home quite so much. It wasn't much of a house.
Sighing once more, Lily proceeded in opening the door to the compartment. "Is this seat..." stopping she looked down to see someone with a hoodie pulled over there face. "Sorry to bother you" Lily said before realizing that they could probably not hear her. The rhythmic mumble of music could be heard from beneath the ipod so with a small sad shrug Lily decided to take the seat in front of the person. Smiling a little she placed her shoulder bag on the seat next to her and pulled out her sketch book. It would be a long journey and she needed to draw. Anything.

Due to the fact that her music was blasting so loud, it was hard to tell what was going on around you. She looked up from the ground momentarily to find some girl across from her... smiling. Giselle stared at the girl in confusion. Magic people.. were freaks. That much she had established in her first encounter. Well, this wasn't her first encounter just a first with someone her age. weeirdo.. she rolled her eyes and focused on the outside the window. She learned a long time ago that it was better to avoid contact with odd people. While getting injured on her first day did seem tempting, it wasn't something she was about to jump at.
Giselle pulled her trunk closer to her discretely. She didn't know who this girl was or her intentions of sitting in the same compartment as her. It wasn't like the girl asked or anything. She could tell that the rest of Hogwarts would be as rude as her. She glared daggers at her momentarily before looking back outside. She didn't need to take this crap from anyone. Wizard or not. Her parents would just have to deal with her being a social outcast. End of story.

Twisting a strand of her brunette hair around her finger, Lily continued to bite on her red lip as she looked down at the picture before her. It just so happened that Lily was perhaps the worst witch in the castle, she failed at almost everything and never really listened in her classes, unless of course it was care of magical creatures and then she did as she did love animals. Still the only thing Lily was good at was art and she did have a rare talent for it. Lily was glad that she at least excelled in something but her mother wasn't at all. She was suppose to end up in the ministry but Lily would be damed if she did. She didn't want a stupid dead-end job.
Sketching lightly with her pencil the face of a cat, Lily felt someone's eyes on her and glanced up to see who it was. The girl who had hidden her face with the hoodie was glaring at her, cutting great gaping holes into her but she didn't really care. Lily was use to being bullied, hated and that and she had found she could easily deal with it. Just smiling back she sighed a little wondering how long the journey would take. It was always the same, boring and lonely though normally Lily didn't have anyone to share a compartment with. Looking at the girl she was wondering if that wouldn't have been so bad.
They were completely different, for one thing Giselle was wearing make-up and Lily preferred the natural look she was after all only twelve. Also the clothes were different, Lily was already wearing her school robes as she hadn't wanted to change on the train. Deciding not to strike up conversation with the hostile young girl, as she doubted she could hear her Lily just continued to sketch the cat.

||Thanks, But, it's the Hogwarts Express. First years aren't sorted before riding the train I believe. || ((Well I will talk with the other admins about modifying that rule..... most the time its because people tend to spam the site when they shouldn't so we try to restrict posting around in all areas. but since many people seem to complain about this and the reasons for the hogwarts express are quite valid, people are not sorted prior to boarding the trains, I will discuss this with DJ))

Paige was going home. Home. The word was so foreign to her. Hogwarts was her home. She dragged her trunk into the train, and attempted to find a seat. UGH, every single year. Sorry, taken. Uh, all filled. Oh, I'm sorry, this seats already saved for Fluffy. Seriously, who saves their cat a seat. Finally, at the way back, she found one left. Just one.
"Um, can I sit in here?" she asked. "All the others are taken."
She looked down at her shoes. They were dirty, lime green high top Converse. She was in love with Converse.
The two girls sitting there looked quite different. The one looked like she totally didn't want to be there at the moment. The other was rather... cheerful.
Paige shrugged, and sat down.
