The drafty corridor sent shudders down Delaney's delicate spine. She knew she was in the Forbidden Corridor. She knew she shouldn't be. And she also knew she pretty much loved it. The adventurous young Gryffindor was humming softly to herself, taking in the site of the damp walls, dark corners, and eerie hallway. This was the closest she got to feeling utterly rebellious in quite a long time. She giggled to herself, and continued humming her favorite song.
It wasn't until Delaney had gotten pretty far down that she heard footsteps echoing against the walls. She thought she'd better check it out. The someone - or something, for that matter, had to be at least a little interesting if he or she was walking around a corridor that was forbidden - unless it was Filch. Or a prefect. Delaney sighed. Well, what a waste of fun. She decided to hide in a corner - the darkest one she could find, and wait.

I shouldn't be here, Isis thought, walking along the dark corridor. She wasn't quite sure where she was at the moment, but she had taken a wrong turn while looking for her cat, Zip, who had yet again disappeared when Isis brought him dinner. He was nowhere in the corridor but it was just Isis's luck that she couldn't find her way back to the one she came from. "I really shouldn't be here," she said softly to herself, for she had suddenly realized that she was in the Forbidden corridor in the third floor. The one that she wasn't supposed to be in. The one where no one was supposed to be in.
Stepping carefully, Isis saw a shadow move into a corner a little ways ahead. Not thinking clearly, she thought it was Zip, darting into the dark to hide from her, though it was clearly a human-sized shadow. "Zip," she hissed, feeling frightened and annoyed at the cat for putting her in a place where she ought not to be. She hurried towards the corner, crouching low. "Come here, you stupid cat!"
