He hadn't even thought about kissing her, not really anyway. Not that he didn't want to. She just sort of surprised him is all. He thought they would have at least a few more dates before the subject even came up. The again, he was a guy so what did he know? Melissa warned him not to kiss her on the first date, but she didn't say anything about the second.
Okay, no more thinking about it. It was time to act. It was just a kiss, it's not like they were exchanging vows of everlasting love.
"No no, I do! I'm just a little nervous.....ummm" He scooted a little closer and placed his hands over hers. If he didn't do it now and get it over with, he never would. Eyes shut, he leaned over tentatively and before he knew it their lips met. It wasn't one of those long passionate make out sessions like in the movies. It lasted no more than ten seconds and when it was over, he wasn't even sure if it happened at all. He really didn't know what to say. He sat in silence even though he was ready to explode, and tried not to smile too much.

What was it Drew Barrymore kept saying in that movie, 50 First Dates? "There's nothing like a first kiss." Isis would have to agree. She had her eyes closed at least five seconds after she and Acama pulled apart. It wasn't anything like Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler's kisses in the movie, but it was just perfect for Isis.
"Wow," she whispered, opening her eyes. "That was... wow." She didn't know what else to say, but she smiled from ear to ear at Acama. His hands were still covering hers, and she squeezed them gently before lacing her fingers through his and leaning against him to face the TV. "Let's finish the movie," she suggested. "I think I can get through it now."
Before she pressed play, she turned to him and said, "Can you not take so long before you kiss me next time? 'Cause I just about died waiting for you, even if it was worth it." Then she pressed play on the remote, and watched as the movie started up again.

Wow wasn't quite how he would have put it, but it was close enough. Now, instead of going home after their date, he was going to run straight to Melissa's house to tell her. Not that he was going to go blabbing to her about everything that would happen between them, but he felt that he just had to tell a SOMEone.
At her suggestion, he simply nodded and made himself comfortable once again.
Can you not take so long before you kiss me next time? 'Cause I just about died waiting for you, even if it was worth it.
He couldn't help but laugh, even though she was completely serious. "That, I can definitely do.." Grinning, he helped himself to more popcorn and proceeded to watch the movie.
