Kadi was on the floor of the owlery on her hands and knees a white mask secured over her nose and mouth and a bottle of disinfectant spray clutched into her right glove covered hand. A red brush and matching pan layed next to her on the floor, why not be house spirited when it comes to her cleaning supplies? She loved them, and even tended to name them every once in a while, the brush and pan just so happened to be married and went by the names of Frank and Sue.
Obviously with Sue being the pan and Frank being the brush. Kadi held out the spray in front of her spraying down each and every owl before tackling them into the silver tub she had brought up here and filled with warm water and bubbly soap to wash up the owls with. She was gentle, that she promised any animal lovers who wanted to splatter her with red paint and call her a murderer or inhumane. Actually she was helping them, so yea shush. She washed each owl individually, scrubbing them down and than fluffing them dry each with different towels of course. She didn't want to dirty them using an already used towel, that simply ruined the point now didn't it?
After all the point of this was too keep them clean, and she always completes her missions. Kadi had a huge pile of different colored towels set aside though they were barley used since each had only been used on one small owl. She would send them to Sophie, her equally dirt a phobic house elf, to wash, dry, and fold later on. She wasn't sure why people went all ra ra hosue elves, she loved hers to death and Sophie liked to clean, kadi wasn't making her do anything she didn't want to.
Once she had properly bathed each owl she walked over to the stone arch and dumped the dirty water out of it in high hopes that there was no unsuspecting passer by or else they would be a terrible mess. Actually on second thoughts he rather hoped some Slytherin punk happened to be walking underneath when she emptied her bucket.
Kadi than got upon her hands and knees once more and began to eagerly sweep up every bit and piece of dirt and owl droppings than getting back down on her hands and knees with a freshly filled bucket to scrub ever inch of the floor. After all it was filthy, tons of students, professors, and staff trampled across those floors everyday along with a fair share of owl buts dragging across it. She yet again went to the window and this time emptied out the tray yet again hoping there was an unsuspecting passer by who rather deserved a hair full of poop.
She than realized how truly filthy the stone archways forming the owlery windows were and she pulled out her trusty feather duster, how nifty such an invention was in times like this. Then dragging her bucket over with her and scrubbing the archway and walls the same way she had done the floor. Though she'd have to redo the floor since she was walking on it. Whoops.
Kadi than realized that the cages were utterly gross and she skipped over and quickly be ride them of any owl droppings or dust and paper clippings. She got a wash cloth for each cage making a pile of just washcloths she had used and than dried them and sprayed them with disinfectant spray. She dusted them as a final touch and re-filled them with fresh paper clippings and cleaned out their food containers. Out with the old, in with the new. Plus a handful of treats here and there as well.
Finally she finished and now noted all that was left was to clean up, her clean up. Her mask was still placed securely over her nose and mouth, her gloves still covered her hands and the disinfectant spray was still clutched in her right hand. The brush and pan, or shall I say Frank and Sue, was next to her foot as she observed her handy work.
