While most other students were out swimming at the lake or taking refuge from the summer sun inside, Annalisse was up on the roof with a bottle of bubbles in hand. But these weren't just any bubbles, there were magical bubbles, which shouldn't be any surprise since they were at a magic school at all. Anyways, instead of turning into boring old circleys, they turned into.. well, whatever you wanted. Or, if you didn't care, they turned into whatever they wanted, a surprise of sorts. They also lasted longer than normal bubbles, which explained the shower of hearts she'd just sent down onto the grounds. The bubbles had been a back-to-school present from her Dad, they had been her favorite thing ever since she was a kid. Well, she was still a kid, but a younger kid, you know.
Taking in a deep breath, Anna held the wand in front of her mouth and exhaled all the air her little lungs could hold. The resulting bubble was in the shape of an big giant elephant. Enthralled, she clapped her hands and dipped the wand back in for another go. She repeated the process, this time eliciting a life-sized bubble pizza. Perhaps her subconscious was trying to tell her something? "It's not dinner time yet, little guy," she said, patting her stomach with her free hand. "Plus Mom says we have to eat healthy, so I don't think pizza is on the menu." She sighed, glad at least that she now had an excuse to eat even more grapes. With that thought in mind she blew herself some bubble grapes and watched as they floated down to the grounds, perpetuating some other poor students hunger.
