Taryn made her way through the second floor, headed for the stairs to go to her newly acquired staff lounge before she spotted the girls bathroom and realized that she really needed to pee. It kind of just snuck up on her when she wasn't looking. Anyways, she scooted herself in there quickly and into a stall. When she was done, she didn't really feel like getting up yet so she just sat there for a moment, listening to the running water of one of the sinks that Moaning Myrtle had turned on once again. Yeah I know, kind of weird right? But she was just exhausted with everything new going on: graduation, becoming CoMC professor. It was a lot to handle in a short period of time. Oh she wasn't complaining or anything. Don't think that. It was just a tad overwhelming. Before anyone came in and saw her like this she decided to actually get up and do something instead of sitting on that toilet seat all day. When she exited the stall, she proceeded over to the sink to wash her hands. As she felt the warm water running through her fingers, she realized that, as a student, she had never really spent much time here. She usually just used the bathroom in the Hufflepuff common room. Interesting thought. When she finished with her hands, she pulled out a tube of chapstick from her pocket, dabbing onto her lips generously. Hey, chapstick is good for your peace of mind. And of course keeping your lips soft, right? She was about to make her way out the door and to the staff lounge when she realized that she'd probably be spending a lot of time in there in there next year. She'd probably get sick of it. So she decided to just sit in the girls bathroom for a while. She found a dry spot on the floor, next to the concrete wall, and she pulled her knees to her chest as she grabbed her iPod from her back pocket. She stuck the buds into her ears as she turned on Better Together by Jack Johnson. One of her favorite songs. Since no one was in here, she sang along to the song with her eyes closed and her head bopping along to the music. It'd probably be a bit embarrassing if someone found her like this huh? You bet [That's where you come in. Whoever you are.]

The bathroom had never been really one of those places that Isis had visited. She used her dorm bathroom most of the time except when nature called with no end during class. And since she had the uncanny ability to hold her pee until after school, nature was not too persistent most of the time. But as Isis had had too much lemonade that day while sunbathing by the lake, there wasn't enough time to get to the dorm for a pee. Therefore she had to dash into the bathroom in the second floor to relieve herself.
Isis practically slid across the tiles and dashed into a stall. "Aahh," she breathed, smiling as her bladder emptied. She had been such a hurry that she hadn't noticed anyone else in the bathroom, until she heard the singing. Pausing in the middle of pulling up her shorts, Isis looked around wondering where the voice could be coming from. Opening the stall door a bit and peeking around it, she saw Taryn Connor, one of the recent graduates of Hogwarts, sitting on the floor singing. "Oy! What are you doing on the floor?" Isis called out, pulling up her shorts and doing it up. She walked out of the stall, and went nearer to Taryn. "Hello? Excuse me?" Gently, she tapped Taryn on the shoulder. "Taryn? Ms. Connor?"

Llyra had to pee. And she had to pee bad. She could practically hear her mother scolding her as if she was right beside her. "God Llyra, you couldn't have went on the train?" She would say exasperatly. Llyra sighed. Was there a specific time when she was supposed to outgrow this childish behavior? 'Whatever', Llyra thought. She would save the self-exasperation for later. Right now she had to pee. She nonchalantly raced to the nearest bathroom, which of course involved many girls going inside. She raced upstairs subtly, hoping there would be a bathroom. There was one bathroom, if you could call it that. No one was going in or out of it, which was strange since there was so many people here. Llyra shrugged and pushed open the creaky door. As soon as she opened the door, she stumbled upon a grown woman cuddled up against the wall, singing on the top of her lungs. She would've been started if it wasnt something she would do herself- or if it wasnt her absolute favorite song. "I BELIEVE IN MEMORIES THEY LOOK SO SO PRETTY WHEN I SLEEP HEY NOW AND I BELIEVE IN MEMORIES THEY LOOK SO SO PRETTY WHEN I SLEEP, HEY NOW AND WHEN I WAKE UP, YOU LOOK SO PRETTY SLEEPING NEXT TO ME, BUT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME". Llyra sang at the top of her lungs, almost forgetting that there was another person in there. Llyra blushed fiercely, mentally smacking herself in the head. This woman could be her professor! That would be a great way to remember Llyra. This lady would come into the classroom, see Llyra, and say "Wow this is the child that sings along with strangers...how unfortunate". Llyra grinned sheepishly. 'Oh well', Llyra thought. At least she could take comfort in the fact that this lady would be as crazy as she was if she was to start singing in the first place. Llyra laughed and looked at this woman. "Hello." Llyra smiled. "Are you as big as a Jack Johnson fan as I am?"

Wow, the bathroom gets a fair amount of business.
She hadn't noticed the first girl come in. She was right in the middle of the chorus when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She ceased her singing abruptly and gasped a little as she saw Isis looking down on her. She didn't think she had officially met Isis before but she knew who she was which was the important thing right? Right. But she had noticed that she hadn't signed up to take her class next term... that was questionable (kidding!). She wasn't really embarrassed by her singing but she was a little frightened when she felt that tap on her shoulder. She smiled at her after her heart slowed to normal pace and stood up. She didn't want her to have to look down at her on the floor. She started rolling up the cords around the iPod before sticking it in her pocket and turning to Isis with a smile.
"Oh hey Isis. Sorry if I was bothering you. I just didn't want to go back up to the staff lounge just yet. So I decided to stay in here. So yeah. How have you been? Ready for the start of the term?"
She asked her before walking slowly over towards the sinks to wash her hands once more. Yeah I know, she just washed her hands but she was sitting on the floor which could get pretty germy. As she turned on the water, another girl that she hadn't met yet started singing the same Jack Johnson song. Taryn smiled and when she approached the both of them, Taryn addressed her.
"Hi. Yeah I looove Jack Johnson. My favorite song of his is Banana Pancakes. I love the lyrics. Oh I'm Taryn by the way."
She commented, introducing herself in the end. Wow, this bathroom did get a lot more traffic then she had expected it to get.

Llyra smiled quickly at the girl the teacher had called Isis quickly before turning back to the woman. "Yeah, I love that song. Im Llyra", she stuck out her hand quickly. "Do you teach?" she asked. Maybe this bathroom wasnt as unvisisted as she thought. She shuffled back and forth uncomftorably for a moment. "Ermm. Be right back" she said, making her way to the stall (because Llyra really had to pee haha). She emerged and washed her hands, looking at the strange faucet. "Its my first year here. Well actually im a 3rd year, but my first here at hogwarts."

Isis stifled a laugh when Taryn looked startled, because she could hardly blame her. It was startling to be tapped on the shoulder while you're eyes are closed and you're belting out your favorite song. "No, I'm sorry for startling you," Isis said, smiling at Taryn. She leaned against the same wall Taryn had been using, though Isis remained standing. "And you weren't bothering me, I like that song, too."
Another girl had come in a while ago and had started singing along with Taryn and apparently was also a Jack Johnson fan. She had sidled to a stall and emerged after a while, introducing herself as Llyra. "Hello, Llyra, I'm Isis," Isis said, bobbing her head once in greeting. "I'm going to be a third year this term as well." Isis had turned back to Taryn, and said, "I heard you got the Care of Magical Creatures post, congratulations. I'm sorry I didn't sign up for that class, I just don't think I'm ready for magical creatures just yet. I'm still trying to get the hang of non-magical ones." Isis laughed, because this was true. She wasn't a big animal person; she got along with them fine, but she didn't trust herself to take care of more than one. Zip was quite enough, and he was just a normal housecat.
"A little nervous, but I'm hoping for the best," Isis replied to Taryn's question about the start of term. "What about you? Any other achievements after graduation, aside from getting this teaching post?"

Taryn smiled as Llyra introduced herself and the asked if she taught here. Hmmm... that was weird. Did she look older or something? Or did she just give off the teacher vibe? Honestly, she didn't know, but whatever it was, Llyra picked up on it. It was strange that just a week or so after graduating and getting a teaching position, people actually thought of her having a job and being 'older' than the students, even though she wasn't really. She was still 17. The seventh years would be the same age as her. Weird...
"Oh yeah I teach. Care of Magical Creatures. I think you signed up for my class actually..."
She said, trying to rack her brain for her roster. She was fairly sure that Llyra had signed up which was good. She would like to know most of the students before the term started, just to get off on the right foot. Taryn then turned back to Isis, responding to her word of congratulations for her newly acquired teaching position.
"Oh thanks. I'm really excited to teach it. It was one of my favorite classes as a student so it should be interesting getting to teach it."
She said with a friendly smile. She then chuckled when Isis mentioned not being able to take care of non magical creatures let alone magical ones.
"Yeah I understand. But when you are ready, I'd love to have you in class. Maybe in a few terms or so. Hopefully I'll still be teaching CoMC..."
She said, contemplating that thought... She hadn't really had a chance to think about the terms to come. She had been so absorbed in the business of this upcoming one that she didn't have any extra time to think about others. She hoped to continue teaching CoMC because she could come up with so many more lessons but that was a thought for another time guys. She nodded to Isis saying that she was a tad bit nervous. She knew the feeling all too well. She then responded to her next question.
"No not any other jobs then that. I'm just trying to get used to being a staff member and getting familiar with teaching aspect of the school. That's enough to keep me occupied for now."
She said with another smile as she leaned against the sink. Then she addressed the two girls with the same question.
"So what classes have you guys signed up for this term?"

Isis ticked off the classes she had on her fingers. "Transfiguration, Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I only signed up for three. Figured I'd take it easy this term." Isis had taken five classes each term for the past two terms. Even if the classes she picked seemed major, at least she only had three of them, as opposed to having three major classes plus two minor ones. "What about you Lyrra? Did you really sign up for Taryn's class?" Isis was teasing of course, given away by the mischievous smile she gave the older girl.
"I hope you keep teaching CoMC, too," Isis said, leaning against a sink as well, and peering into her face. She was wondering whether she had tanned too much. Her skin did look browner than usual. She didn't really like looking so pale. "Do I look too tan to you?" she asked suddenly, displaying a rare moment of vanity.

Llyra smiled at Taryn. “Yeah, actually I did sign up for your class. Also for artistic expression and muggle animals.” She looked at Isis in the mirror, catching her reflections eye. “ No, you have really pretty skin, so tan looks really good on you, especially in contrast with your dark hair. I love tanning, I don’t know tanning is like a sign of beauty to me.” She peered in at another mirror. Her hair was dark, long, and curly, her eyes were brown, but honey colored a couple shades lighter than her hair. Her skin had a couple zits herself, but she used Clearasil. The scent of proactive made her sick. She looked away from the mirror. She had been really vain at home, always wondering how to keep making herself look better, and she was sick of comparing herself to others, and promised herself she would stop when she came here.
