Wrapping her fingers around the chains Kendra sighed after a rather eventful day. She had been trying to make the most of her free days as soon classes were going to be starting. It had been many years in the making but now Kendra was a sixth year. The next would be her last term and after that she would be considered somewhat of an adult. The whole idea was slightly daunting if she could remain a kid forever she would quite happily do so but currently that was impossible. Earlier that week when meeting with her family in London she’d received another droning speech from her mother about how her little girl was growing up. She loved her mother to pieces but those speeches would be the death of her.
Kendra was in fact very lucky to have parents that cared so much about her she had known some who weren’t so lucky. She moaned about her mother but she was ever so grateful of having her around. Looking around Kendra felt like she was the only one for miles. The evening was slowly closing in but the sun still sat in the sky sending out that slight evening glow as it set. The only sound that could really be heard was the slight breeze as it blew past your ears and the slight creak of the chains and Kendra swung gently. This evening the place seemed like a bit of a ghost town Kendra was just waiting for a tumbleweed to roll across in front of her.
Maybe it would have made more sense for her to choose somewhere with more people around. The playground was a popular place but people didn’t exactly come in droves. Kendra always moaned about things being too quiet for her but maybe it would have helped if she were a little more social. Not in the respect that she didn’t talk to people but in the respect that she waited for people to come to her. She’d have to get out there and talk to people, get out there and make friends. Getting off of the swings Kendra grabbed onto the roundabout and began to spin it. Jumping on she led down and closed her eyes. It would probably make her feel ill but it was the only thing she could think of doing right now.

Amazingly beautiful minds think alike.
Cory walked the lawns, still unable to believe he was a seventh year... it had been a couple days into the term and it still was shocking. He also worried a lot about the future... I mean he had been able to muddle through Hogwarts... without learning really anything other than the basics... because it seemed like he'd always be at hogwarts... still flirting with girls and skipping class. He wondered when he graduated what the heck he was going to do... probably leave... I mean... what else could he do... teach? Heck no... Librarian? he hated books... There wasn't much left for him to do at Hogwarts..
He wasn't sure where he'd go... or what he'd do... But I mean he couldn't stay right?... These thoughts have filled Cory's mind the last few days... NO HIS MIND WASNT JUST FILLED WITH NAUGHTY THINGS... He thought about life sometimes... philosophical theories and such.... ok not so much the philosophical theories but still. But the point here is... Cory had the same worries as everybody else... maybe even more so. Because some kids... Know exactly what they want to do when they graduate, where as Cory.... had NO idea.
Feeling quite old himself... he decided maybe a little kid-like fun time was in order. And there was only one place to go for that... the playground.... So what if there was a hundred firsties crawling all over the playground... he had just the same right to be there as they did. But as he made it... he realized... it was really quite silent, not a soul... well besides one. A girl had her eyes closed, spinning on the roundabout. But upon closer inspection he realized it wasn't just any girl... it was Kendra Madison...
Well... since her eyes were closed he had a very good opportunity for a prank... and nothing... I mean NOTHING makes you feel more happy and kid-like... then pulling a prank on somebody. He went up to the roundabout and as it was slowing down he grabbed it and started to spin it even more. He did this so that when Kendra got off the roundabout she'd be even more dizzy... letting Cory have even more fun. With this he sat on the swing, waiting for the darn thing to slow down.

Kendra hadn’t quite been expecting to spend her day with her eyes closed swirling around on a roundabout. She had been spinning for under a minute yet the feeling of spinning was slightly numbing and she couldn’t actually feel herself going round anymore. The poor old roundabout was often neglected for the swings. Kendra had actually been guilty of doing it herself but she wasn’t going to admit it. She was a little angel after all she never did anything wrong. Of course everyone knew that was totally bull but Kendra liked to think that way.
In a world of her own Kendra hadn’t heard the footsteps of someone else coming into the playground as she was pretty much zoned out. That probably wasn’t the best thing to do with all the weirdo’s around the school but her loss was someone else’s gain though she wasn’t quite sure what the gain actually was. Feeling the roundabout slow Kendra decided to just lay there and not bother getting up to spin it again just yet. The roundabout wasn’t exactly the most comfortable place to lie but it had made Kendra feel rather lazy she’d finally bother when it actually stopped. Kendra was normally full of energy and would get up and spin it in a instant but spinning with her eyes closed had chilled her out somewhat.
Not knowing if it was the wind or not Kendra swore that the roundabout had just sped up again. Sitting up Kendra opened her eyes to find that she was in fact spinning around faster than before, but why? The wind wasn’t that strong there was no way that it would spin the roundabout around let alone with Kendra on it. Kendra was easily confused but this was beyond the joke she really had no idea what the hell had happened. Looking around the playground she noticed someone very familiar sat on the swings. It was Mr Cory Benson someone she hadn’t seen for what felt like a lifetime it was a shame really.
Putting two and two together Kendra realised just what had happen ”YOU!” She shouted getting off the roundabout nearly falling flat on her face. Stumbling she regained her balance and continued walking towards him slightly slower than she would have liked. She was all ready weaving in and out like a drunkard if she were to walk any faster she truly would fall over flat on her face and it would be all Cory’s fault… of course she was assuming but he had a name for that kind of thing. ”Trying to kill me were you?!” She asked trying not to laugh. Stumbling towards the empty swing she managed to take a seat and grasped onto the chains fiercely so she didn’t fall backwards.

He watched with a grin as Kendra finally realized what was going on and attempted to get up from the roundabout. "Whatever could you mean?... I have done nothing but sit upon this here swing... and look at the wonderful sky..." He said oh so innocently. "Ohh dear... Kendra... your swaying and stumbling..." and then Cory let out a huge gasp. "HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING KENDRA?" Of course Cory knew this not to be true buuuut it was too much fun to pass up. "that must be it, thats why she is acting soo strangely, accusing me of things i never did." He said muttering to himself but saying it loud enough so she could hear him.
"How dare you Kendra?.... Drink and then come to a place where KIDS COULD BE... they look up too you... and you... your just stumbling around all drun.k" Cory shook his head in fake disappointment. He watched as she managed to plop herself in the swing next to his. "... Im so ashamed..." He added. "hey, since she is drun.k maybe I can get lucky with her..." he said intentionally louder, so she could hear it.
"So... Do you need me to help you to your dorm?... I'm sure you won't be able to make it on your own..." he continued, stifling laughter. "There's no way you'd be able to make it up the stairs in the shape that you are in right now... there's no way.." He said shaking his head. "Soooo... spill the beans... what were you drinking tonight Kendra?... Be honest..."

Kendra was no longer feeling that dizzy but she still held on to the chains just in case she wasn’t just about to fall at the last hurdle. ”Oh yes” She said raising her eyebrows ”My mistake its just something that you would do but obviously I was wrong it seems ive forgotten how much of an angel you are” Kendra of course didn’t believe him for a minute but he already knew that despite him denying his part in the extra spinning of the roundabout. It wasn’t exactly a crime but Kendra had tried to refrain from getting dizzy and HIS interference didn’t help. ”Yes its quite hard to walk that way when you’ve been spun round a few extra times” Kendra said loosening her grip slightly on the swings chains.
”Damn it” Kendra frowned slightly disappointed that she had been rumbled ”I just couldn’t resist there was the bottle just staring at me, it was asking to be drank” Kendra didn’t actually own any alco.hol but she had to play along or things would end up getting rather quiet fast. ”I’m their supplier” She said nodding her head ”But I seem to have misplaced my bottles so I am afraid the poor little ones will have to go without this week, I don’t suppose you have any?” She asked getting up and searching around the area that Cory was sat ”I can’t bare to disappoint them” She frowned after not being able to 'find' some more bottles. Once more she took a seat back on the swing.
”Oh baby I don’t need to be drun.k for you to get lucky with me” She grinned winking at him. ”I really could do with some help its times like these that Hogwarts needs a lift but I don’t see that happening any day soon” She said pretending to slightly slur her words. She could always just launch herself on his back and make him carry her all the way up to the castle that would be sure to save her a trip back to her dorm. ”Oh you know a bit of this a bit of that if I am honest I’m not quite sure I just get given the bottles by my friend Rico in return for a special favour, you do the math” Once her imagination got going it seemed their was no stopping it, this was fun though.
