Sophia had come up with the wonderful idea during one of her classes for first lesson that the seventh years should have a party. Really, she wanted it to be sort of an elegant party, a chance for them to get all dressed up and have a good time. She figured it would be appropriate to allow dates, and each person could invite whoever they wanted. But it would be run only by the seventh years and the seventh years would pick and choose who would be allowed to be there. Of course, she knew of many students, and even staff members around Hogwarts who were likely to crash their party, and that was alright with her. This night was just going to be a good spirited night, and she hoped all of her fellow seventh years would enjoy herself as much as she'd expected to.
So Sophia was on the rooftop, setting up the many snack and beverage tables for them to enjoy. They had punch, snacks, sodas, and other refreshments set out for them. The house elves had agreed to help the young woman greatly when she'd pitched her idea to them, and she was grateful for all that those little guys had done to help her out. After setting out food and beverages, she set up a couple tables for people to sit down, and made sure the DJ booth was set up. It was by request, so people could pretty much request whatever, but she'd told the DJ just to play whatever until then. As Sophia finished putting up the rest of the decorations, she looked around, getting ready for her fellow seventh years and possibly some other classmates or some staff members to show up, so they could start their party and have a good time.
Sophia adjusted her dress over her figure, allowing the soft fabric to form to her curves as she looked about. She pulled her heels back on, which had been annoying her as she'd put decorations up. The beautifully colored green dress fit her almost perfectly. Sophia smiled, knowing she looked pretty good in it, as she did in most things, actually. Sophia, though she wasn't that slutty little fourth year anymore, still made the tiniest bit of fabric look good.
Sophia made her way over to the food and beverage table, allowing herself a drink of soda before the party actually began. She signaled the DJ to begin playing music, so people would know where exactly she was on the roof. Of course, she'd told them just outside the door, but no one ever pays attention to simple instructions anymore. Sophia took a seat after getting her drink and began to wait on the arrival of her fellow students.

Sure. She was up for a party.
One of her classmates, Sophia, decided that the seventh years should "bond". Nicole agreed. If you've been with the same people for seven years, you should know them by now. Sadly, Nicole didn't know all (well, the few that are) the seventh years yet. OKAY WHATEVER NOW HOPEFULLY THAT WILL CHANGE THIS YEAR. Nicole recieved an invitation to a party of ONLY seventh years...plus all the other houses. Hehe. It would be one boring party if there were only three or four attendees, so they could invite others. Nicole sent one to her friend Autumnnn.
Nicole curled her hair and put it up from a bun. She unpacked her dresses and laid them out on her bed. She had only been at Our Hogwarts for a few days and she was already picking out party clothes. It must be a record. She went with a shorter dress that ended a bit above the knee. It was a pretty red colour with some beaded black details. It had no neckline...it just went straight across. The dress had no sleeves, and had a silver sash that tied into a bow in the back. She put on some red lipstick and a small bit of other light makeup, black flats, and headed to the roof. She triple hair-sprayed so she'd be prepared for any outdoor conditions. Nicole had forgotten how many stairs it was. At least it was better than the High Tower, which stood above the roof.
When she arrived she saw only Sophia. "Hey Sophia, great idea!" she greeted her polietly.

Party crasher? You bet.
She had heard from a little birdie (i.e. reading this thread) that a little shindig for seventh years was going on at the Roof. She was debating coming and whether it would be ok for her to just crash it. Eventually she decided that she would go. hey, she was a seventh year last year. That had to count for something. She also 'heard' that it was a somewhat dressy party. She pulled out the dress that she wore at her graduation party. Yeah I know, not much variety but oh well. You're just going to have to deal.
As she ascended the stairs, she was trying to come up with all the seventh years this year. She knew Cory, Nicole, Sophie and Kit were, just because they were in her class. She didn't really remember any others. She hoped that it would be a larger graduating class then it had been last year. Sure, she felt special just having her and Lara graduate but it would have been nice to share the experience with more people. Oh well. At least she graduated and was now one of the most amazing professors out there. Nope I don't have a big head at alllll.
As soon as she arrived, she noticed some food and decorations which were pretty rad if she did say so herself. She then noticed that both Nicole and Sophie were the only people there so far. Aw, they were both Hufflepuffs. She missed the Hufflepuff commonroom dearly. She walked up to both of them, wrapping them in a hug.
"Congrats guys! For making it to your seventh year that is," she said with a smile as she released the two girls from the hug, "I hope you guys don't mind me crashing this little shindig. Teachers aren't banned or something are they?"
She said with a laugh on the end. She really hoped that she didn't have to leave cause that would be sad guys. She was hoping to get to know them better. First, because they were both in her class and second, because she needed to make sure they were keeping the Hufflepuffians in shape and making sure it stayed they greatest house ever.
"So you guys excited? To graduate at the end of the term that is?"
[Eeep. Hope you don't mind ;D]

Sophia couldn't help but continuously drink from her plastic cup, adjust her dress, and walk over to the DJ table to ask him to change the song as she awaited the arrival of the other students. It wasn't long after her multiple thoughts that no one would show that she saw someone off in the distance. A smile widened on her face when she realized who it was as she made her appearance more clear, especially greeting Sophie so happily. "Thanks Nicole," Sophia smiled back, "I hope we get to know more than just each other this year!" She knew that Nicole had to feel at least a bit of the same feeling. It was mutual with the others too, she was almost sure. Or at least, she liked to pretend. She gave Nicole a short hug, smiling remembering that they were the Hufflepuff grads. Plus, she was pretty sure the two would make it to the end together, even if all of the rest of the graduates fell out and gave up, which is likely.
Sophia's gaze immediately turned to someone she hadn't exactly been expecting, but she still gave her a wide smile. "Hey, Taryn, how are things going?" Sophia smile as she, along with Nicole, was pulled into a hug by their fellow Hufflepuffian. Of course, Taryn was alumni now, but once a proud Huffie, always a proud Huffie! Sophia's usual thousand-watt smile showed brightly over the two young women as she spoke again. "No, we don't mind you being here at all. It's good to have a very recent graduate here to give us some words of wisdom on the subject. Socialize with us, we'd love to have you." Sophia looked around again, noticing that no one else had shown up yet, but it was alright. She at least had Taryn and Nicole to talk to, even if no one else showed.

Kit didn't usually have many things to get dressed up for (she hadn't been to all of the Yule Balls during her years at Hogwarts, and she'd shown up to a few not dressed up at all), so considering this was one of those final parties as a Hogwarts student, Kit decided to at least try to look semi-nice for the event, wearing a pretty little dress and makeup and all that (people were sure to look, point, and gasp things along the lines of "Oh my God, that's a GIRL?!!?" It was sure to be a wonderful evening).
Kit arrived on time (she was way too much of a loser to be fashionably late), a little hesitant to see that there were only a few seventh years already there. Not that there were a lot of people in her graduating term, but still, it was a little intimidating because it was harder to blend in with the crowd that way. She smiled meekly at Sophia Davis, who she wasn't sure she'd ever met, and Nicole Miner, who she'd had a few encounters with throughout the years. Goddd, she felt so old. Time had flown by and now she was almost on her way out. Kit felt like she'd missed out on some adventures, like a visit to the Hospital Wing or the Forbidden Corridor... maybe she'd make sure to get those out of the way this year. Not that she wanted to injure herself or anything... or get anyone else injured. Would it be weird if she just showed up and asked for unneeded medical assistance?
Kit beat down a severe urge to say "Howdy y'all" to the party-goers for reasons unknown and said "Howwwwllooo" instead, which was obviously a much nicer option. She was a real hit with students here, totally cool and popular. Before she could be a receiver of awkward looks, she hurried over to the table of refreshments and got herself a cup of punch and some snackage. Yummm. Food, it tasted good and could be a real awkwardness-killer just by consuming all your attention and forcing you to be quiet for a while because your mouth was full and no one wanted crumbs and juice spewed all over their immaculate dresses and suits. Smart, huh?

Chiaki strolled to the rooftop casually. She was in her kimono. She wasn't sure if it was ok but well it was a formal event, and that was what Japanese wear to formal events. So time to radiate some of her Japanese culture? Nah, she just didn't have any other dresses that could fit her. Small as she was, she had grown a little in the past years. And her only dress in her trunk was a dress from first year. How could that fit her?!
Upon reaching the venue, what registered in her brain was the food. How she missed English food! Chiaki walked over and grabbed a drink. Well they didn't ask her to, but what were the drinks doing there if they weren't for drinking? After having a sip of the drink, Chiaki looked around. Kit, Nicole, Sophia and Taryn. She vaguely remembered them, though she knew she had encountered them some time throughout her six years in Hogwarts. Last year couldn't count since she was practically away for the whole year.
"Hi people." Frankly, Chiaki didn't know what to say. It wasn't like she was really close with them.

"Yeah," she said in agreement to Sophia and returned the hug. Nicole was attacked from behind with another hug from her new professor, Taryn! "Hey! Wow, I love your dress," she said cheerfully. Then, she responded to her congradulations."Thanks! Yeah, it feels good to be at the top of the school. So...How are you? Like being a professor so far?"
Nicole spotted Kit. "OMGEE!" she shouted excitedly. It had been way too long...FOREVER..almost...since she had seen that girl! Nicole ran at her and hugged her hard, sending her sliding back on her feet a few inches. "Hey! It's been a while since we've talked. How are you doing? WHY WERE YOU AVOIDING ME?!?!" The last sentence was a joking angry tone.
Nicole noticed another seventh year, Chiaki. Nicole had talked to her once or twice but she didn't really know her that well. She seemed to keep to herself, mostly. Nicole hugged her as a greeting anyway. What the hell, they needed to get to know eachother sooner or later so she could rush into it. "Hello!"

One of her small beautiful smiles radiated to the several girls around her as her laughter finally managed to subside. She seemed to be having a wonderful evening up here on the roof so far, and the evening had hardly begun. Sophie smiled widely as two new guests, Kit and Chiaki, made their appearance. She was glad that her owl had gotten around to the many people she'd meant to get.
When Sophia felt it appropriate to walk with Taryn (assuming Taryn moves with them) and Nicole over to the other girls, she did so. "Hey, Kit!" Sophia was confident that Kit had never really met her before, and vice versa. She also knew that she and Chiaki had of course, exchanged a few words before and had classes together, but never had the girls actually met. At least she and Nicole had met and knew a bit about each other, versus her relationships with the other seventh years. Then of course, there were the two males, Ryder and Cory, who had yet to make an appearance. She was sure that she'd had classes with Ryder before, as his name was familiar, but were they really friends? No. Then again, she wasn't exactly friends with Cory either, but she at least knew something about him, thanks to Troy's famous student dictionary lesson, which was quite entertaining. She'd had a chance to learn a lot about at least one other seventh year, and that was good. In fact, that had been the lesson in which she came up with the idea or having a party for just the seventh years.
Sophia's spirits were light and happy as she greeted both girls in turn. "Hello, Kit, you look very lovely tonight!" She couldn't help but smile at the gorgeous young woman standing in front of her. Of course, even Sophia knew that Kit didn't dress up for much, so she felt it right to give the girl her compliments. Then she turned to Chiaki, "Hello, Chiaki. I really like your kimono. It's always nice to have other cultures implementing our wonderful parties." Sophia's heart was light as she spoke.

Lara was no longer a seventh year, and yet she still found herself making her way to a seventh year party for the class of term nineteen. No, she was not crashing, as most of the non-seventh years attending probably would have been. Actually, she had in fact been invited by her dear friend Chiaki. Much to her surprise, really, but Lara was happy to attend. As a date? Because all the seventh years were allowed to bring one along.. but for them, it was more of a friend date. The two of them were good friends, but in no way a couple or anything like that. Anyway, besides the fact that she was now a professor, Lara would probably fit quite well into that party. She had only graduated the term before, and was therefore only about a year older than some of them. Although, as Chiaki had originally been in her grade, they were about the same age. Lara was only eighteen, but it still felt weird to be making her way to a student party. It was amazing what a month or so in the staff room could do.
Once Lara was up on the roof, where the party was taking place - and she did think that it was an amazing spot for a party, with all the good views and all - she was happy to see that she was not the only staff member there. Taryn, who had graduated the term before with her, was also there. Along with a few seventh years. Some who she knew, some who she didn't, some who she was teaching, and some who weren't in her class. Among them was Chiaki. Of course, that was the first person Lara went to see, as it was the person who had invited her after all. 'Hello Chiaki! You look gorgeous!' she said as she gave her friend a hug. She really did look great; Lara had never seen her wear a kimono before, even though she was Japanese. 'So how have you been? I haven't seen you since my lesson.' That hadn't been all that long ago, really. But they didn't get much of a chance to chat, surprisingly enough.

Since Autumn's BFFL Nicole Miner sent her a request to attend an amazing party in honor of her and all of the other Term 19 Seventh Years (and Autumn definitely couldn't refuse to go to a party, especially since it was for NICOLE), this Gryffindor was ready for a good time!
She had her dress on and her shoes matched perfectly, but for once Autumn wasn't looking to make a scene. No sir, this was for all the amazing seventh years tackling the world after this term, not her! It would be rude to take that away from them! Upon her unflaboyant arrival, Autumn saw her buddy Nicole immediately. She also noticed that everybody looked pretty darn spiffy!
Autumn approached the group with a smile and stood next to Nicole, who was speaking to a fellow Gryffindor. She had made a pact with herself that she would be as mature as possible until others started cutting loose too. Especially since she was the youngest person at the entire party! "Hey Nicole!" Autumn said happily to her friend. "Thanks for inviting me! This looks like it'll be fun!" There were quite a few people there already, and hopefully there were more to come. It would be a lie to say that the Gryffindor didn't feel out of place, but it actually felt good at the exact same time. It was definitely weird for her, but weird was okay!

Kit was nonchalantly munching on some chips and looking away when she heard a loud exclamation from the other side of the room that for some reason seemed to include her name... ohhhh, no. She hadn't knocked something down from the refreshments table, had she? Maybe she'd been oblivious and completely overturned the punch bowl somehow, and the punch was going EVERYWHEEREE, and ruining EVERYYTHINGG...
Kit felt herself being tackled and squeezed her eyes shut as she skidded backwards. Oh, no, now the professors had arrived and were forcibly removing her from the area, and putting her in a detention cell... ever since her brother had told her such stories, she'd known deep down inside that this day would come!
"Havemercyonmeeeee," she started, only to open her eyes and see it was Nicole Miner who was really only yelling and tackling her out of excitement and love. Oh... OH! Awww, how nice! Kit blushed, half out of gratitude and surprise that she'd gained such a reaction out of somebody, and half embarrassed at her ridiculous paranoia and theatricality. "Awww, hey Nicole! Sorryyy, I wasn't ignoring you... I just wasn't sure if you really remembered me, that's all," she said sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck. "But you look really pretty, and it's good to see you!"
Seeing Chiaki come in behind her, Kit turned and waved, smiling a little. "Hey, Chiaki," she said, before finding herself approached by Sophia Davis who she wasn't sure she'd ever really met but who'd organized the party. She was a little taken aback by the compliment, and she found herself getting flustered. "Oh, ah, really, you think so? Thanks... you look great too." She smiled warmly at the girl, and then saw another younger Gryffindor who seemed to be with Nicole Miner. Kit waved amiably at her. "Hi, I'm Kit," she said brightly. "Nice to meet you. Go Gryffindor!" The seventh year shouted this enthusiastically, doing a fist pump. Gryffie was awesome and fist pumps were always necessary when its greatness was to be acknowledged.

OOC Cory was feeling extremely lazy... and did not want to read everyones posts... Which is a testament to his laziness... not an inadvertent way to say that your posts are not worthy of his time. In other news, IC Cory was ready to paaaaaaarrttttyyyyy.... WHERE DA BOOOOZE AT......kidding. Anywhoozle... Cory walked up to the roof... just in time to be late. As he walked in he noticed there were people there... well... that was quite the observation... But there was also food... i think? I mean... most party's have food right... And Cory wanted some of that shiznit... so he waddled on over there... yes waddled... because he was wearing flippers, don't ask why, it's none of your business.
So Cory helped himself to some shizzlecakes or whatever it was they were serving at the shindig. He scanned the room and by scanning the room that means getting on his hands and knees and looking up dresses/skirts...... kidding... he wasn't THAT weird.............. Anyways... whilst scanning the room he realized he was basically the only man there... besides Nicole that is. But she wasn't REALLY a man... I mean she didn't have the DNA... but it could be assumed.
Cory then decided he should flaunt his skillz on the dance floor.... guessing there was music playing.. and if not oh well... he'd dance anyway. And by flaunt his skillz, that meant obnoxiously bumping and grinding everybody.... and by on the dance floor he meant... everybody everywhere... besides Nicole and Sophia.... Nicole because of the reasons discussed earlier and Sophia because well... He heard she had AIDS... I mean she dated Skandar right?... And yah just can't be risky when it comes to AIDS...

Kit had been preoccupied with chatting up her fellow classmates when someone else entered the room. Curious, she turned around and was quite delighted to see that Cory had arrived, who was onlyyyy her best friend in like, the entire universe, dudes. "Hey Cory! I didn't know if you were gonna come, but..." Kit stopped abruptly, staring at him in bewilderment. "... Are those flippers you're wearing?"
Kit watched with her mouth open as he waddled over to the refreshments table and started eating. She turned away and smiled embarrassedly at the people she'd been speaking to before his arrival, unsure how to proceed now that she'd just enthusiastically greeted her friend who apparently thought he was attending a scuba diving convention. "Sooo, errr... about that Defense Against the Dark Arts, huh!" she laughed a little too loudly, shaking her head and making a little gesture with her hand. Unfortunately, she'd forgotten she'd had a cup of punch in said hand, and said punch wound up splashing on some poor unsuspecting girl's face. "Oh, God, I'm so sorry, hold on, I'll help you!!"
Flustered, Kit ran over to the refreshments table and grabbed a bunch of napkins before coming back and shoving them in the girl's face. "Okay, okay, no prob, no one will ever notice how bright cherry red your face is... it'll be fine..." she tried to assure her. But then Cory came over bumping and grinding everyone and she wound up poking the poor girl in the eye.
"Oh God, I am soooo sorry," Kit gushed, "I really didn't mean to do that..." The girl had at this point basically given Kit the "I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU HELPED BY NOT HELPING" body language, so the seventh year gulped and smiled sheepishly as she slowly backed away and into Cory, who was still dancing like an absolute maniac on the dance floor.
"YOU WANNA EXPLAIN THE FLIPPERS?!" Kit yelled, pointing at the monstrosities that had started this whole chain of events in the first place.

Sophia was very excited that the party was becoming more than just a seventh year thing. Not only had both Taryn and Lara, last years graduates, made an appearance, but Autumn Rathjen was here as well. Even though she was much younger than the other students here, she seemed to fit in just as well as the older students. It was nice to know that the seventh years, over their many years here, had branched out in such a way that other students were showing up as well. Sophia had invited Zac, but he hadn't yet made an appearance. She was sure he would, he knew this was important to her.
"Hola, Lara!" Sophia smile excitedly when Lara made her way over to Chiaki, who was standing with a few of other girls, including Soph. "Are you liking teaching so far?" In fact, Sophia quite enjoyed Potions, and taking it under a professor who wasn't much older than her was always a joy. As well as Care of Magical Creatures. "I'm enjoying both of your classes! Except those pesky Novus kids." Sophia made a playful mean face at Taryn, who knew of course of all of the happenings in her own classroom.
"Hey Cory." Sophia gave the boy a small smile. She really didn't know much about him, and in fact they'd never hung out before, but it was all good. She'd learned a tad about him in Troy's class.. which I think I've mentioned before, but it's all good. I just said that, wow. Anyway, her attention was diverted over to Kit who seemed to be having a problem. A small laugh escaped Sophia's lips when she ran into Cory and yelled about the flippers. She couldn't help but look about, wishing Zac was here already.

because sophia wants a date she sent me a pm to show up. well he may as well he hasn't went to a good party in a very long time, the last time he went to a party was when he was dating brittney wall and it was her birthday, which was long time ago because zac had just turned fourteen and now he's almost seventeen. so yeah it was a very long time ago. but sara also told me to make zac look spiffy, so i guess i could give this ago, although il end up making him look like a ... freaaaaak ?! >______> so right now he should be getting ready but to be honest with you, he can't be bothered, so he was going to leave it to later. well he was a guy so he was going to be guyish and leave something to the very laaaaaaaaast minute, haha. bing bang boooooooom! zac decided that he was starting to get bored just sitting there wanting the timeto pass a whole lot faster. so he got up off his bed so he wasn't laying back on his bed looking up at the celling. she walked into the bath room and took an hour long bath. LONG ?! i know, riiiiight. she when he got out he was like a old man. anywhoooo. he got out and went to his room with a towel wrapped round him. he got to his room and dried off and put his CLOTHS, he put all his stuff on, he went to the bath room and shaved so he didn't have hair growing. he went back to his room and put on his after shave, which was really nice stuff if you ask me, haha. he looked about his room for something to do.he sat back on his bed and looked about the floor. his room was rather messy. so he got up off his lazy butt and started to pick things up. once he picked something up he put it up onto his bed. soome there was alot of stuff on his bed and there was nothing of the floor. he know's he could use magic for this but to be honest it actually passes time so that was the only reason he was doing that, plus he didn't know the spell. he was smart at times but he wasn't smart so he was kinda but not, if you get that. i know it's confusing but who really gives a damn ?! because i don't, got a problemdeal with it, woooot! wtf ? zac stood up stright and looked at the stuff on his bed, "why do i let my room get this messy?!" because your a guy for god shake. zac does actually have a brain but really ... he doesn't use it when he should, ohh well, shit happen's. ohhh no,zac swore O-: awww well. haha. well it was almost time for the party and he was kinda leaving everything to the last minute but at the same time he wasn't because he was already dressed and there wasn't much to do, but maybe when he is done he could go for a little wonder around hogwarts or something because he doens't want to be pure bored, like actually bored out of his head, so that he couldn't stand it much longer and would want jump off a building. but realy life today john jumped off a big waterfall. that was fun =D anywhoo, its not about john its all about sara wanting zac to show up for her own fun. thats sounds so wrong but it was something that had to be said, LOL. once he was done cleaning his room he walked out putting his shoes on and shutting his door behind himself. zac walked down to the common room to see if sophia was there, but she wasn't, so he was standing in there all by himself, aww pooor zac, haha. LONER!! ¬____¬ haha. he looked down and then kept walking he looked to his watched and then looked about,he checked his watch again and saw it was about time so he decided to go up to the rooftop. so he headed up there. he got to the bottom of the stair's. he started to climb up. once he was at the top he pushed the doors open and looked about he saw a few people already there, but the first person there he saw autumn rathjen-redwood and nicole miner. he looked about a bit more and finally saw sohia, he walked up to her and smiled, "hey there." he said hugging her and smiled and let go of her. "am i early?!" he questioned looking at her.
