Kisten had packed his trunk, yes just like nelly the elephant though he hoped the resemblence between them was minimal at best and he certainly wasn't planning on saying goodbye to the circus...he'd never been a member of the circus after all...but I digress.
He had his trunk, school books, a wand, robes and all those nice kind of things he would be needing for his first term at a new school, a school for magic no less. His father had been almost sure Kisten was a squib having shown no magical ability whatsoever until he turned thirteen and accidentally removed all of their dogs fur when he was sick of finding it all over his favourite suede coat.
His father had been delighted to say the least, not about the bald dog, but that his son was not a so called disgrace to their wizarding name or some other such pureblooded nonsense. If truth be told his mother had seemed rather disappointed about the fact, she seemed to think she had a nice 'normal' son. It still baffled him why on earth she married a wizard at all if she really didn't like the whole magic thing.
Digressing yet again, Kisten was waiting at the station for the Hogwarts Express to come and take him to his new 'destiny' it all sounded very grand but Kisten was not overly excited. On the contrary he was feeling rather nervous and glum. He would be a third year and having to learn everything from scratch, everyone else would already have a leg up on him in the magic department and all he could successfully do was shave a dog, what use was that?!
"Probably find out it was all a mistake and send me straight home again." He muttered sulkily, kicking the side of his trunk so that it scuffed along the platform at his feet.
