Kisten was amazed, he'd actually managed to survive his first week at this strange new school with little to no incident, the bean pole legs in charms was a little odd but the more he looked back on in the funnier it seemed to get. Coming to this place he'd been almost sure he wouldn't fit in, wouldn't be able to do anything and be sent home with the claim that it had all been just a big mistake. But it seemed it was not, he really had inherrited his fathers magical ability having taken thirteen years to actually show itself or not, it was true and what was more it was actually quite fun and a real rush of power to be able to do something amazing like the spells he'd been learning.
However, fun and a final feeling of acceptance and comfort in this new place could not unsettle the homesickness that had befallen him. Before he'd being going to school back in Berkshire, he went home to his family everyday and he'd liked it like that. A whole week away may have been nothing but it was the knowing he wouldn't be able to go home at least until Christmas that made Kisten feel a little down in the dumps. Especially when he'd yet to really meet many people and make some new friends, all of those had been left behind too. He knew it would take time but there was no stopping the low feeling that came with waiting.
This was why he had ventured down to the playground, it was somewhere more familiar looking in this massive strange place that still both fascinated and confused him. Kisten settled into one of the vacant swings and looked around the playground. It was bright and colourful, a place that you just couldn't help but be happy in and it helped to lighten his mood a little. The swing rocked slowly under the minimal effort he was putting into moving it. It would be better of course if there were someone else there he could talk to...
