With the weather getting colder every day, Anna would prefer to spend her time inside by a nice warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate. Unfortunately for her, the responsibility of owning a puppy involved taking it outside to do its business, and the fact that tiny puppy's bladder was basically minuscule meant she had to come out much more often then she'd like. This time, instead of stepping outside for two seconds and allowing it to relieve itself before scurrying back in, she walked along the lawns with it, chasing it in the general direction of the playground. "You're such a good little girl, yes you are!" she cooed at it, scooping up the tiny puppy into her arms and cuddling it into her nice warm coat. She carried the puppy the rest of the way to the playground, where she found herself a swing and sat down in it after zipping the puppy up into the front of her jacket to keep it warm. It was so small that she worried about stepping on it any time she haphazardly rolled out of bed in the morning, but thankfully it had taken to sleeping on the pillow above her head and was normally there when she woke up.
She had wondered if her puppy would keep the personality traits of the Bundimun she had transfigured it from, not wanting something that would wreak havoc on her dorm room. Fortunately for her that wasn't the case, though the puppy did move quite quickly and was sometimes difficult to catch. That was probably just a dog thing though. Unlike a Bundimun, her puppy was happy and cuddly and all around the coolest pet she had ever owned (sorry, Herman). Yep, life was pretty good right about now, because on top of that the third year had been made a prefect. Her badge was currently pinned to the front of her clothes, and she wore it with all the pride she could muster. The position had come as a surprise to her, since she had expected that it would go to an older student, but she was nonetheless thrilled at having been given it. She just hoped that she could do it justice.
Smiling as the puppy let out a very high pitched bark, she reached an arm around the chain of the swing she had been holding on to and scratched its head affectionately. She pushed the swing lightly, making sure not to go too high or else she might end up falling off. For a while she forgot about how cold it was and just enjoyed the company of her dog, even though her teeth continued to chatter uncontrollably the entire time she was out there. Her attention was taken off the temperature of the weather when it began to snow lightly, signifying that winter was indeed here. "Do you like the snow, Hadley?" she asked the dog, giggling lightly as it barked at the falling snowflakes. She imagined bringing her out here when there was actually snow on the ground, since she was so small she imagined that she would get stuck in the deep snow or else simply be able to walk on top if it without falling.
((opennn!))
