Ahh the rooftop lounge, it was actually very pretty especially on a winters night when the sky was cold and clear and all the stars could be seen twinkling brightly like pixie dust, and a person could sit a look at them from inside the glass roofed room and not have to freeze their asses off. So much for the fairy tale imagery there!
Anyways Serafina, on impulse one night, headed up there to sit for a while. It was quite late in the evening, or night would probably be the better word, so the room was set in a quiet and delicate lull that was almost dreamy. If she sat doing nothing for too long she could well find herself drifting off to sleep, which was strange Sera barely ever slept anymore. An hour or two here and there would suffice as long as she fueled her body in every other way to keep herself going throughout the days and nights. It was the teaching schedule, she found herself feeling far more awake and alive at night but still had to be up during the day for her classes. Not that she would complain ever because she did so love teaching.
It was strange that she had never spent more time in this room over all her years at the castle. She supposed being a slytherin student the dungeons were far more convenient and appealing back then. But now both teaching in the north tower and being Gryffindors Head of House and their location also being high up in the castle the roof became a far easier location in which to chill out. What was the point in tackling all of those stairs just to come back up again, not exactly a beneficial relaxation time really.
Reclining back in one of the large squishy sofa's Serafina tipped her head back, her long black hair flowing over the back of her seat to almost reach the floor, and she trained her dark blue eyes over the stars. She could try to count them? Hmm no that was pretty stupid and heading back into sleepy territory there, hmm what to do. It had been years since she'd plotted her birth chart and hadn't read the stars in ages, she wasn't even sure that without brushing up on the positions and angles and things she'd even be able to do it.
So what to do, she could get used to the life up above the ground as it were but the surroundings just did not inspire her as much. "hmm maybe a sleep wouldn't be such a bad idea." She muttered, with nothing else to do it would seem convenient. However at that moment she glanced up, hearing a noise from the other end of the room that grabbed her attention. Or "Or maybe there is something better."

"Know dont touch it we don't know if it can spread".
Anne frowned at the little boy would hat sat on one of the hospital wing older cots that was looking a little run down. "It wont spread i promise i check already i had someone touch it. And nothing happen so can i just have my wand back", the little ravenclaw boy looked down at the green thing that was growing from the cut of his knee. She looked back up at the boy with a little bit of disgust he had someone else touch it. "It doesn't matter Frankie we don't know what can happen. for all we know with in a month the same green thing can pop onto to the little boy that touched it also". Nodding looking down to her little box of goodies that would hopefully take the growing green bubble away from this little boy. Note to it self: call in the other little boy. "Please Miss. Bones i promise", he gave her a little cheesy smile that showed the gab between his teeth. Anne couldn't help but give a little giggle from how cute the little boy was being. "Frankie i know you will be carefully but for right now i need to keep it with me", she said giving him a reassuring smile that nothing was going to happen to his wand. "Look i promise that i will keep it someone really safe", Anne said patting his head softly. "But i will get it back right", Frankie asked curving in his eyebrows. Letting her head fall back picking it back up with a smile "i promise", she laughed going into her box of medicine's.
"Know tell me how this happen", she asked bringing out some light purple liquid that moved around in the jar. Eying it closely hmm. was this the right one that she needed or was it suppose to be the light red liquid. "YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE HOW IT HAPPEN MISS BONES. I WENT ON AN ADVENTURE IN THE FORBIDDEN FOREST AND THERE I SAW A WARE WOLF AND HE BIT ME RIGHT THERE ON MY KNEE". Frankie screamed in excitement looking down to his knees explaining is story with the use of his hands and his one working leg. "Frankie shhhh. please we have other students sleeping", she told him wagging her index at him taking a glance at the other kids who tossed and turned in their own cots. Anne removed her eyes from the light red stuff in the jar eyes shoot up at him. "Now frankie you know the forbidden forest is FORBIDDEN. students aren't suppose to go in there and i doubt you found a wear wolf your first time". She eyed him suspiciously wondering if he really did even meet a scary ware wolf. Anne knew the forbidden forest was forbidden but in her day she had made a couple trips there at once to. Not to mention meeting a scary monkey that had green eyes dun dun dunn.. Though that was way way back in the day the good old day.
Today she watched these little first years go around playing with there wand like nothing could go wrong. Knowing back into a time where not knowing anything about her wand anne had blasted one of her friends all the way across the lake. "Now tell me sweetheart how did this really happen", Anne asked with a smile of her face looking toward the gapped tooth boy. "I know you this didn't happen from that", she laughed picking up another liquid examining it closely wondering if it could have been this one. "Miss bones. i already told you", he said with a bigger smile then the last. "Frankie i need to know the truth cause any one of these high colored liquid to more harm the good if you don't tell me exactly what happen". Looking up at him noticing that his smile had just faded away within and instant looking more ashamed. "Alright Alright me and my friend bobby were playing with our wands and i muttered some strange words and green sparks flew out hitting my knee". He ended with a small frown looking up toward Anne with worried eyes. "Thank you for being truthful my darling and now i know which liquid i must use". Picking up another dark green liquid from the medicine boxes instead of a light green. "Ah ha, here this is, this is what we need", eying it once more then opening up the cap an ugly stench flew out and filled the room.
"GROSS THATS GOING ON MY KNEE", Frankie yelled once more looking at the dark green stuff that floated around in the jar. "Frankie please, the other students", Anne looked up seeing the others that were sound asleep. "Will it burn me", the little boy asked with the sound of fear in his voice noticing that his knee was getting greener by the moment. "No No i promise it might just actually tickle you", she smiled up at Frankie who smiled back at her. Thats what Anne loved about the wizarding world instead of bring everyone pain it just brought everyone wonder and joy. "Now if you just hold still if i can get it perfectly in the middle you might just be able to sleep in your common room tonight". Grabbing her wand from out under her robe and placing it on the inside of the jar on top of the green liquid. "Ready frankie on the count of three", she said dipping the tip of it into the the green stuff. "one. two.... three", anne said in a little higher voice the she should of and with the count of three with her wand she brought out the dark green medicine placing it on to his knee. "Alright here it comes", placing her wand onto his knee whispering the spell under her breath and then with a sudden pop the green liquid vanished. "How it feel", Anne asked him looking down at the knee with a half sideways frown thinking that someone more would happen the just a simple pop. "Hmm. it feels like a nice cool breeze hit my knee and thats it", the ravenclaw boy said knowing that he wanted something bigger to happen to even if it was just for his entertainment.
"Alright well lets get you cleaned up Frankie and see how it look once i remove the medicine", Anne told him with a wave of her wand the residue of it vanished aswell. "Hmm well love it looks a bit smaller, and it looks like you have to stay at the wing overnight and ill keep reapplying every two hours or so", she smiled at him giving him a little touch onto the side of his cheek grabbing all the jars she had took out putting them back expect for the dark green one. "I have to stay the night but but but what about the dark i hate the dark" Fear crossed the young first years face who looked around the huge wing and all the dark spaces among it. "Once again i promise i wont let anything happen to you or your wand", anne laughed pulling the covers down for the young one watching him hop inside. Anne remembered her first night at the wing knowing that at the same age the darkness was her number one fear. Though that was all over to quickly and it was know her turn to help out the younger students. "How about i leave a candle next to your stand", she smiled with another wave of her wand a candle reappeared showing a dim lighted light. "Thanks miss. bones thank you so much", frankie told her laying down onto the cot pulling the covers on him and what seemed like only seconds she could hear the little snoring of him and with that anne walked off toward her own office.
Now this had to be the only bad thing about working at the wing is that when right after you were done with a student you had to finish up your paper work for them. You had to answer who were they, what year were they in or going into, what was the reason for the visit, and if they were staying over night thats what the real fun part was. Having to make excuse letters to all the teachers explaining why they were out of class, and when they will be back. Knowing for sure though by the morning frankie would be right as rain and get to go to his first class the next morning. Although doing it for the little first year frankie didn't seem to bad, at least she got to help him out and spend sometime with him in the wee hours of the morning. Speaking of the wee hours Anne looked toward the window seeing the stars that spread out evenly. It had been so busy at the wing today that she didn't get to notice what a nice day or night that it was. Plus Anne was doing everything in her might to possibly get the little dramatic day with Malcolm out of her mind. To have it stop replaying over and over again it just all hurt to much. Though that was the then and this was the now and now she just had to finish her paperwork and that was the now part. No matter how long the now part was gonna half to take.
Well the now part didn't have to be so bad, Anne's eyes shot down toward the paper work that laid down on her oak desk. Then looking out toward the window that showed the black, starry, moon that filled the sky. Well the now part could be a little better she nodded tossing and turning her head idea with in her head. Alright it was already decided she was going out the the roof top lounge to get a little bit of the night action sky. Beside Anne felt that she deserved a little Anne time, and maybe a little company depending who ever was there and laid with her. Gathering up everything and stacking it in one large pile at the edge of her desk she got up and started walking toward the door. WAIT thought what about the children Anne stopped in her tracks looking over at the cots that stood and slept silently. Was there any other nurses around to help out noticing that cara was in her own office yeah that would do. With a quick enter into cara office anne was off going toward a place that she hadn't visited in a billion years. So many good times had happened up there, just to many to count of even for her to remember. Where was the darn place again oh duh only one place above hogwarts.
Moving as fast as her little feet could climbing on all the stairs that led up there and finally after all the stairs she was there. "Finally", looking down toward all the stairs that got her up there, my goodness just to many. Placing her hand onto the door "stuck", she breathed heavily trying to turn it back and forth. "GAH", pushing it open till BAM it flung open and she flung on to the ground. "FIDDLESTICKS", she yelled picking self up trying not to trip over anything else. Eyes darting around the large room seeing nothing expect for a couple of study books and quills. And someone laying on the sofa it looked like a another staff already looking for only there time. "Oh sorry didn't really see you there an i interrupting something", she asked squinting her eyes trying to figure out who it was throw all the skys darkness. "i can leave", she asked in a squeaky voice whenever she got nervous.

The sky was all pretty and velvety looking, the deepest of blues possible before it would turn black. Serafina watched the stars as they began to swim n the ocean that was the sky. Wait were they really swimming around the sky or was it just her eyes playing tricks on her? Hmmm it would probably have to be the latter, I mean the stars didn't tend to move did they, the world moved but the stars certainly didn't though that seemed to not be the case tonight.
Sera felt herself become more and more sleepy, drifting away on the sea of stars almost, a tiny thought in the back of her mind telling her that if she fell asleep leaning her head back like that she was going to wake with a killer pain in the neck and that would be very bad. But she couldn't quite find the energy or the desire to move, that would mean tearing her eyes away from the glass ceiling and the show that the stars were putting on above her. Oh if she just could remember how to read the stars just by sight she was sure this little show would tell her some amazing things, even if they weren't particularly accurate.
A vauge noise from across the room had drawn her attention vaguely away from the sky, it sounded like something or someone was trying to get in through the door to the rooftop lounge. Yeah it would have to be someone, somethings didn't tend to try and open doors very often they usually had other ways of getting through. Not always of course sometimes the somethings would use a door, "like a house elf...they're a something..." Serafina muttered dreamily not really sure what the hell she was wittering on about.
She still however did not look up, at least not until the door gave a sudden lurch and crashed against the wall as it swung violently open. This Serafina had not been expecting and she sat herself up so quickly she could almost have given herself whiplash. If she were still technically living (or having had fed recently) her heat would have been trying to beat it's way out of her chest for all of the shock and surprise she was feeling. The stars show was long forgotten and her sleepiness feeling dissipated as quickly as she had sat back up again.
From over by the door Sera heard a sudden exclamation of 'Fiddlesticks!' though she could not see from who the word had been uttered. That was until she pulled herself up from the floor from where Sera assumed she must have fallen from the effort of trying to open the door.
Serafina frowned, still a little confused as the reality of the room and what was going on slowly started to come back to her. "Are you okay?" She asked finally finding her voice and realising that someone had just fallen on the ground.
"Oh no, don't worry I'm not doing anything just came up here for...well I don't really know actually, it just seemed like a good idea." Serafina shrugged. "You're welcome to stay, well yeah it's not like it's MY room or anything so...um yes no need to leave." Sera trailed off realising that she was rambling something terrible and hadn't really meant to. "Oh I'm Serafina by the way, I don't think we've met before."

Anne removed the pieces of her brown hair away from her light brown face. Waiting for her eyes to rechange for to the darkness around the room. the only light came from a candle that was ah burning from all the way across the room. Looking up toward what looked like another staff member hmm, who was it. No it wasnt Karnrose, many, Tallie nope none of the usual peeps that she walked around hogwarts with. NOWAY. It was Serafina yessh a total new person to become friends with. Anne had felt that she had practically knew everyone that walked around hogwarts. But she stood corrected there was so many people that even attended hogwarts how could she possibly know everyone. "Oh well um hello", anne placed her hands over her robes brushing off the dust that had gotten all over it. "Im, Anne, Anne Bones", she said her eyes turning into almost a squint trying to see her whole face.
"SOOO. what brings you to this here in the first place", she asked trying to make herself not to much like a uber dork. Even though anne was pretty much an adult she sometimes acted like her inner kid. "Its been so long since ive been up here", voice trailing off to the outside of the room that looked over the stars. So many memories had been made around this place that it was hard even to remember all of them.
(blah ugly post ><)

Serfina shifted in her seat some more, sitting up straight again but reclining a little more so that her position was relaxed and casual, now that Anne had gotten back to her feet and didn't appear to be in any kind of pain or to have sustained any injury from her fall through the door. Maybe someone should really fix that door it had a habit of sticking like that.
Sera noticed for one confused minute that Anne was squinting into the room as if having difficulty in seeing things. Serafina was a vampire and so good night vision kind of came with the package as long as there was some source of natural light she could see in the dark just as well as she could during the day. However sometimes she tended to forget. Which is what had happened this time, she'd been happily sitting in the near dark, one flickering candle to light the room and the stars of course but Anne would probably require more light to feel comfortable, or at least to see properly.
"Oh..hang on." Serafina fished her wand out of her robes and flicked in at the torches that lined the wall. They all illuminated at one casting flickering shadows around the room as the flames begam to burn with the barest crackle.
Anne introduced herself and Serafina nodded, her brain going ten to the dozen...Anne, Anne Bones yep that name is vaguely familiar... "Ahh you work in the Hospital wing right?" Serafina asked pretty sure that was it. She couldn't be sure considering that was a place she tended to avoid, everyone who worked there obviously was lovely but hospitals were not really her cup of tea.
"Yes I was thinking the same really, I can't actually remember the time I was up here last and, well, my jobs this term kind of require me to be up this end of the castle so I figured I should make the most of what the top of the castle has to offer . I'd almost forgotten this place was here."
