There were slides and swings and see-saws in the playground, but Chiaki was too old for any of that. And she didn't feel like she wanted to be young again. There was another month and she would graduate. She was full with anticipation. But first, there were finals to be faced. She wasn't here without any reason, heck she couldn't even be here if she hadn't any reason. She was supposed to do a reading for divination. Who would come around and be her experiment item she wondered?
With her was a deck of tarot cards and a crystal ball, all of Sera's gift. Of course, she could opt for dream interpretation too, but for the moment, she had to wait for someone to come by.

Kisten had a little downtime between his exams, only one more to go and then he would be free for the whole of the summer. The exams had been tough and Kist didn't really want to imagine what it would be like come OWL year and then going on to NEWT?? Well that was just plain scary thinking. For then however he was still just a 14 year old boy and could go hang out at the playground if he wanted, which he did, so that was where he was heading at that moment.
It looked pretty empty there at the moment, perhaps everybody else was still tied up with finals and revision and stuff. The only other person Kisten could see was an older girl he vaguely recognised from Potions class but whose name completely escaped him. So he headed over, his usual bright grin pasted on his face, after all he had nothing better to do.

Here was her lucky person.. or rather her victim. This boy was probably here to find some relaxation, but instead he had to face Chiaki's grueling questions, and he had to sit still, and he had to be an experiment item. How lucky indeed. Chiaki felt the end of her mouth twitch slightly. It kinda alarmed her a little, seeing she wasn't a slytherin. Anyway she had to get on with her task on hand.
The big grin on his face made Chiaki sort of upset. His grin would vanish instantly, or not. Who knows. "Hey. I have here a deck of tarot cards and a crystal ball. You have a choice, whether you want cards, crystal or dream interpretation." She gave her no time for second thoughts. No introduction, no telling what it was. Heck the boy probably did not even know what she was rambling about. But whatever. She just needed his answer, and she could start, and they could all be liberated.

Kisten stopped suddenly as she spoke to him, now that was the oddest greeting he'd ever heard but then it suddenly occurred to him, oh no had he just suddenly become a part of one of her final exams?
She mentioned something about crystal balls and tarot cards, that sounded like divination to him. He didn't take divination and had no real idea what it was all about but somehow he figured there wasn't really a way out of this without doing what the girl wanted. So Kisten sat down, smile faltering slightly and said "Oh, umm...tarot cards?" Was that a good choice? He wasn't sure he fancied telling her about his dreams and crytal balls, well that was all a load or rubbish really wasn't it so the cards it was.

Damn she shouldn't have given the boy a choice. Chiaki wasn't sure if she remembered the steps to it correctly, but she shouldn't be wrong. After all, she had just revised. But still, crystal ball was the easiest one. Now, she wasn't sure if she could do it. What to tell the boy? "Um sorry but I can't do tarot readings. I'll do crystal ball reading for you. What question would you like answered?" Again, she didn't give the boy any chance to make any comments. She just fired off rapidly. Now what would the boy think of her? Would he perhaps run away?

Kisten frowned at the girls sudden change of mind, if she couldn't do that one then why give him an option? But then Kisten didn't really understand any of it so really whatever she used didn't make a difference to him as long as she did whatever she needed for her final that was all that mattered wasn't it?
So Kisten simply shrugged when she decided to go for the crystal ball that was fine with him as long as he didn't have to try and see anything in it. "Okay a question....ummm.....Will I pass all my finals?" There that was a question and was the only one that popped into his head at the time, "Will that do?" He asked a little wary of the older girl sitting in front of him.

Ah so typical was that question. But another problem occurred. How was she to help someone to read their future? What should she think in her mind? And what was his name? "Wait. what's your name?" It was all funny and the whole situation was odd. But well divination is a weird subject.

Names? they'd only just stumbled across that part of the conversation (if it could really be called that) and if he was honest Kisten hadn't actually noticed, he'd been too bemused not to mention concerned with the girl he was sat with as she fired out questions to him. This one actually not being any different.
"Oh right, my name is Kisten, Kisten Hayes." He said with a grin, "Nice to meet you umm??" He said arching his eyebrows hoping for a reply, "And is my name important to this then, do you need to know it to ask the question or something? I don't understand divination."

Chiaki ignored Kisten's questions. She felt she was being unpleasant and muttered an apology to him. She would answer the questions later, after she had finished with the task on hand. It was her first time doing a reading for someone else and she was feeling slightly nervous. Plus this was her finals. She cleared her mind and focused on the question. Will Kisten pass all his finals?
The crystal ball fogged up. That was a usual response. And slowly, it began to glow. "I see with my eyes, a sword, a fire and a circle in the crystal ball." Chiaki looked up at Kisten, watching for his response while interpreting the symbols. "The circle means you'll be successful. And this fire is on the top of the crystal ball, which signifies achievement. The sword symbolises argument. So in all, it means you'll have an achievement in all your finals, but you will have an argument about something. However, the result of the argument will bring you success."
There all done now. "I'm Chiaki. And yes it is important of your name, so I'd know the target whom I'm reading to." It was a crappy answer she made up on her own, but if he really did not know divination, well she was safe. "If you don't understand divination, take the class maybe? Anyway I'm sorry I had to drag you into divination. You were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Too bad." It didn't sound much like a sympathy but ah well who cared.

For a moment he felt a bit miffed as she seemingly ignored his questions but went straight for the reading instead. But then he figured that she was probably keen to get her work over and done with, dragging stuff like that out was never good and so he kept quiet as she peered into the crystal not wanting to distract her.
He couldn't see anything in the smoke that appeared in the crystal ball but then he didn't know divination at all so that was probably quite normal right? Well she seemed to have seen something though because she went on to give him an answer to his question and it sounded promising. Well apart from the argument part he wasn't sure about that but still he was going to do well on his finals that was good surely.
"Ohh that sounds alright then, I'm going to do okay. But who am I supposed to argue with?" Kisten asked with a frown not realising he was asking her to read some more. It was probably his father, not liking his subject choices probably and dictating what he should take next time that would be just like him.
"Oh Hi Chiaki, its yeah ncie to meet you like I said." Kist grinned when she finally did introduce herself to him. "And yeah I may have to take it sometime it seems interesting. I don't mind not if it helped you with your final or whatever." He shrugged, it hadn't been like he actually needed to do anything particularly hard or anything, all in all it had been an interesting enough way to waste some time.
