As Jadeian entered the rooftop lounge she was almost drowned in memories, it was a pleasant feeling that caused her to smile after a long, stressful day of traveling. Actually, she was flushed with past experiences of this place no matter where she was, even if she was simply near hogwarts castle. Taking a seat and dropping her bags simultaneously, she gazed out the large glass windows and relaxed for a moment. The rooftop lounge was her first stop, it was completely out of the way from where she was staying, but it made sense. She wasn't about to sit and reminisce, however, there were places to go and people to see here but after such a long day it was time to rest to a little bit. So Jadeian moved to lay down on the couch and slowly fell asleep, totally losing all the motivation she had just had a few moments before.

Brian needed a good reminiscing. He hadn't actually thought about his past or his future in so long. For so long it hadn't mattered to him what became of his life or where he had been. He made his way up to the rooftop lounge and put his hand to the doorknob. he looked down and forced himself to open up the door. When the moonlight poured in he saw a figure laying on the couch. "Kind of late, don't you think?" he whispered under his breath. Brian made his way over to a different couch, hoping not to wake the sleeping stranger. "I'm tired too" he said, laying on that couch and chuckling. And he was tird. Very tired. After a few minutes in a trancelike state, just staring, and it was then that he realized the sleeping stranger was no stranger but a friend from his past. A friend? No that was too generic. A best friend. Brian went over to the figure and put a hand on her shoulder. "Jadeian...what are you doing here?" he asked, sitting down, not expecting her to awake.

Jadeian felt something on her shoulder and was immediately awoken. She took in the sight of the dark figure beside her and squeaked in fear. Jumping up, she ran and hid behind the couch, looking over the top of it after a moment to see whom her monster was. And indeed it was a monster, Brian Brain Garrett...he wad scary in the daylight and in the moolight, particularly the moonlight. "Pft, Brian why must you scare me like that?" she said, standing up and moving back over to the couch so she could take a seat beside him, she was still shaking her head at him. "The real question is, what are you doing her? It always seems like you randomly appear here when I randomly appear back here. Are you stalking me? Do the proper authorities need notified?"

Brian laughed and shook his head. "Yeah, you might want to get a restraining order against me. After all, I'm pretty dangerous" he smiled. "No. I'm always here, I'm just not...here." Brian said, squinting slightly because he didn't even understand himself. I work for the ministry, Jadeian, I'm forced to be here every once in awhile. Apparently we just chose the same night tonight" he said, nodding his head and looking up at the ceiling to see all of the stars. They were out tonight. "Where have you been?..." he asked her. He had noticed that the school was starting to lose many of its staff and students lately. It was odd to see Jadeian around. He layed back against the couch and smiled. They were getting so old. Brian was already 28 years old, which meant that Jadeian ws 29. Back in the day that had seemed so...old and rusty. It was weird how time had passed so quickly since he had graduated.

"Excuses, excuses. I've been here and there though. Traveling like old times of course, and I went and actually got an education. While I did graduate from here, you and I both know that I shouldn't have" she said, giggling. "What are your plans? If you don't mind me asking" she questioned, looking down at her shoes and searching her mind for other things to talk about. She really hated the usual greeting conversation, it was really annoying and repetitive. "You look different," looking up from her shoes to his face. "Like you look the same, but different. I can't like explain it," she said shrugging, and looking away so that she wasn't staring. The two of them were getting extremely old, they were nearly thirty years old. The time had gone by fast, way too fast.

"An education eh? You don't say!" Brian acted extremely enthusiasic. He was happy for her. He wishd he remembered half of the things he had learned in scool. Things didn't seem to stick with him as well as they used to. You would think that he, as an Auror, would know alot. But you, my friend, would be wrong. Very wrong indeed. Of course he looked different. He had aged probably five years sice they had last seen each other. Unfortunately she hadn't done the same. She looked as good as ever. In the middle of his thought, he switched to a different thought. His mind told him something...something profound. It told him 'Cut the crap! You know her better than anyone else you've ever met and you're fooling around with all of this ridiculous get-to-know-you nonsense.' So Brian nodded agreeingly and said "You don't look any diferent at all. Why is that?" then he got up and went over to the other couch, picking up a pillow. He threw it at her....for old times sake.

"I don't look different. ARE YOU INSANE?" Jadeian looked at Brian in astonishment, catching the pillow that he threw at her and setting it on the couch beside her. "Look at all these wrinkles!" she said as she pointed to her face. In all reality of course there were some shallow wrinkles on her face due to aging, but they were nothing compared to most people her age, she was technically doing very well in the age department. She retained her memory, weight, and physical appearance overall for the most part, yet she still complained but it wasn't anything new, she had always had problems with her appearance. Finally she decided to pick up the pillow beside her a fling it towards Brian. "Don't get hostile with me boy, I have a magical understanding now, who knows what I'm capable of."

Brian couldn't help but laugh. The poor girl did not know that about 99.9% of the 29 year old female population would kill to look the way she did. And somewhere around 100% of the 29 year old males would love to have a girl who looked the way she did. It was just a fact of life. "Jadeian...one of these days you're going to sit down and realize that you're pretty" he smiled, catching the pillow that was headed toward his face. "And as far your magic goes, I'm willing to take my chances" he laughed, ducking behind a couch and throwing the fluffy pillow back at her head. What memories he had in this room. Throwing the pillow really brought him back. "Hey Jadie, what do you say we go on a walk tomorrow...you know, around the grounds. For old time's sake. I'd like to hear more about your so called 'magical education'" he said, a small smirk appearing on his face.

"One of these days? Psh, if that was something that I was going to realize don't you think it would have happened in the first thirty years of my life? I mean I'm thirty now, my beauty, if I had any at all, well.. it's only going downhill from here" Jadeian nodded towards Brian as if she really knew what she was talking about. "PFT! I seriously got one! Don't act like I'm kidding around or that you don't believe me! I'm not a person to mess with as you very well know. I'll have to prove my vast knowledge of magic on you if you disagree, therefore, I'd advise you believe me." As Jadeian said this, there was a definite gleam in her eyes but it was purely in a joking manner, or was it? Possibly it was the drive to show off her new found skills since she never really had the chance to when see was young. She would hold back for now however.

Brian chuckled softly and shook his head. "You know. I'll never understand you Jadeian. You're thirty years old. You're still in the prime of your life. Thirty year olds can be just as pretty as twenty year olds. And you're inventing wrinkles. You don't have any" Brian said, holding a mirror up to her face. He put it up there before she could make any appear with her 'new found magical skills'. Her self esteem had been low lately, he could tell. "And as far as your magical skils go, I do believe you." he laughed. He would never take a chance and contradict Jadeian. He knew that she had always been a little underrated when it came to magic. With schooling she could be pretty powerful. Brian could not help but laugh at the thought. He took out his own wand and stared at it. Did he remember anything at all? He pointed it at the pillow and watched it levitate a few feet. He shrugged. At least it was something.

Jadeian smirked into the mirror than Brian was currently holding in front of her face. "I cane definitely see aging here. Wrinkles, dark spots, bags under my eyes.. would you like me to go on?" she said, looking very intently into the mirror with a slight look of disgust on her face. After a moment she pulled the mirror from his grasp and set it on the couch beside her. Jadeian continued to watch as Brian used his wand to levitate the pillow that she had thrown at him. Taking her wand out and glancing at it quickly she then adverted her gaze to the floating pilliow and with a flick of her wrist she sent it flying quickly towards Brian's face. "Heh" she mumbled then giggled.

He looked at her and smiled. All he saw was a twenty year old Jadeian. She looked a good as she ever had. "You're crazy" he said, shaking his head and looking away. If she had bags under her eyes then his entire face was a bag under his eye. He took the mirror back and made it vanish with a flick of his wand. "I may not be able to domuch but I can still levitate things and make them vanish. What else do you really need anyw-" he shrugged, closing his eyes and bracing for impact. "AAAAAHHHH" he yelped as the pillow smashed into his fce, knockng him over the back of the couch and causing him to lose consciousness for a few seconds. "That....is not fair!" he said, coming back to life. "You know...you're really asking for it" he smirked.

Jadeian burst into laughter as Brian was impacted with the pillow, thus causing him to flip over the back of the couch. As he surfaced into view she covered her mouth as he issued somewhat of a threat. With that, she flicked her wand again with speed and precision. The pillow became airborne once more and set a collision course with Brian's skull. "This is very fair. And oh, I'm asking for it. Let me see what you've got Brian dear!" she giggled more.

Brian held up his wand, for some strange reason, to block the pillow and the pillow smashed into his poor, defenseless, preyed upon wand. He watched it fall to the ground in two defenseless pieces and he fell to his knees. He immediately began to cry. This was possibly the saddest day of his life. He picked up the two pieces and showed them to Jadeian. His eyes were red from the stinging tears. He hoped that she felt bad for what she had done. "Well....I would have shown you, but obviously I can't now!" he proclaimed, crying out and shaking his fist. "Noooooooooo!" he cried dramatically and fell to his knees once more. "Why does this always happen to me?" he asked. He took out his small white flag that he always carried with him and he waved it dramatically above his head.

An audible snapping noise was heard and all Jadeian could do was gasp. Then suddenly, Brian broke into tears, yes, a thirty year old man broke into tears. She stood up and moved behind the couch to take a look at the damage she had caused. There lay Brian's wand in two pieces in his hands, remorse bubbled up inside of her as she looked from the wand pieces unto Brian and back again. "Aw Brian, it was an accident!" she said moving over towards him and giving him a hug. She had to admit, he did look pretty cute with the pitiful look on his face and his tiny white flag of surrender. "Here, how about we go to diagon alley tomorrow and I'll pay for a new wand for you tomorrow?" she questioned, hoping Brian would take up the offer.
