Jay made it to the playground. He hadn't been here in ages but he wanted to come back here for the fun of it. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt and cargo shorts with Vans skater shoes. He wondered if people were around. He hoped somebody would show up. It sucks to be at a playground alone. He went to a swing and began to swing.

Kim had found the playground the first day she'd come to this new school, and it had become her second home. She wasn't shy per sday, but simply had no interest in what went on around her. It was like she lived in her own little world. She had perched herself at the stop of the slide, back pressed against the bars as she buried her head in a novel. Her mass of red curls glinted in the sunlight as she turned the pages, occasionally making small noises of fear or excitement. When she heard rustling behind herm that her face finally lifted from the novel, freckled hands closing the book and twisting her body around. Peering her green eyes through the blue metal she saw a boy sitting on the swings. "Hello?" she called down to him, softly, her gaze a mix of curiosity and freindliness.

Jay sat there swinging. He swung higher and higher. He slowed down as he saw a girl. "Hi." He said smiling. He was in need of friends and she seemed nice enough to care. He got off the swing and went to her. "I'm Jaegar but you can call me Jay." He said as he looked up to her as he was at the slide. "What's your name?" He asked in a soft friendly tone. He was one to be friendly. He did miss a lot of people but he was happy to move on.

"Kimberly Evans" she replied to the boy quickly, watching him as he made his way over to the slide where she was. Peering down for another moment, she stuck the novel which she had been so involved in into a small satchel and threw it over her shoulder, securing it tightly. In one swift motion, the girl threw her legs to the side, and let her entire body swish down the slide, yet still landing neatly on her feet. "But everyone calls me Kim" she said sticking out her hand in introduction.

Jay smiled at her as she introduced herself. He watched her slide down the slide. "Nice to meet you Kim." He said as she shook her hand lightly. "It's a nice day out... isn't it?" He asked still smiling. He liked being skinny. He had been pudgy for most of his life. He thought maybe people might like him better this way. "So what were you reading?" He asked trying not to be nosy but trying to continue the conversation.

"Pleasure's all mine" she chirped back to him, beaming slightly. Though she'd been raised by the rough and tough at her fathers work, manners were something she'd seemingly picked up from who knows where and for some strange reason, they were rather important to her. "Oh It's wonderful out, i prefer Autumn, but this time of year, where everything seems so vibrant is exciting as well!" she replied back to him quite honestly taking a moment to look around, before realizing he was getting her attention once again. "Oh..this?" she said pulling it out of her bag, and flipping through the pages. "It's a muggle novel based off a series called Star Trek. Guilty pleasure one could say" she replied flashing through a few of the picture pages through the book.

Jay smiled at her. He was happy to meet her. "I see. I like Autumn as well because it isn't too hot or too cold. It's just right." He replied still smiling. He watched her reach in her bag and pull out the book. He shrugged. "Never heard of it. Is it any good?" He asked with a honest look. "I think you are nice and I am glad to see people and meet nice ones."

Sticking her hands in her pockets she rocked back and forth on her heels for a few moments. "Well I love autumn simply for the changing of the leaves. I have this thing with nature, it puts my mind at ease, and i love the colors that the leaves turn into" she explained to him, using small gestures with her hands. It was one of those quirks she had, speaking with her hands. Turning the book in her hands she nodded. "It's kind of hard to understand if you've never followed the plot, but personally i think its fabulous. Sciencey too." Tucking it back into her bag she let out a small laugh and skipped to the swings, tossing her bag to the ground and swinging. "Why thank you...school's a bit empty eh?"

Jay could tell by her reaction how much Autumn meant to her. He then heard what she said about the book. "I like some books but if they are hard for me to understand.... it is hard for me to get interested." He said with a smile. "Your welcome. Yeah it has been that way for awhile because many students have lost faith in the school but we are trying to bring back former glory and spiking all interests." He said with a smile. He wondered where Vlad and Cassidy was. He missed her cookies.

Kim chuckled softly at the boy, sweeping a strand of redhair out of her eyes. "well for me, the harder the book is to understand, the more I'm temped to read into it and do research....Rather surprised I'm not a Ravenclaw actually...then again my lack of focus plus my indifference make a lot of sense" She listened to them then tell the story of the fall of the school and a small frown graced her face for a few moments, before sucking in a breath and speaking up. "That's rather sad. I was walking along the school and it was like no one even existed. The whole thing was empty. Rather sad. Why'd they loose faith in the school" she asked him, now mildly curious.
