Brian had been pretty mopey lately, and he was sick of being down in the dumps. After all, wasn't Hogwarts the place most children dreamed of? He was one of the lucky few in the world who had the ability to make things happen on command. He kicked a can around, per usual, and saw a playground up ahead. He smiled and started to jog over to the large set. There were obvious signs of wear and tear. The slide had rusted over and a piece of the railing had fallen to the gravel. Even more apparent were the swings, a rather pitiful sight. The rust had eaten through the chains and the seats had fallen to the earth. They stood like solemn graves, covering what once had been.
There was a small castle which stood unscathed by cruelty of time, and it was into this castle that Brian retreated. He could barely stand as he maneuvered through the small entryway, no doubt scaled down for children. He saw writing adorning each wall. Some of the markings were from when he had been a young wizard growing up at Hogwarts. None of the names were recognizable, but it served to relinquish memories nonetheless.
"Well, this is certainly depressing" Brian said, as he ditched the useless castle and rand up the slide's ladder rungs like a three year old child. He knew that no one was watching, so why not act like a complete lunatic for awhile? He slid down the ten-foot tall slide hundreds of times, screaming as though he were he were riding a terrifying roller coaster.

Oh, it's always the times you think no one is watching that someone always is. The expectation that no one was around was probably a valid one, seeing as the castle was a bit of a ghost town lately (if you could call it that, since even the ghosts had fled the coop). There was, however, always one lone ex-Ravenclaw you could count on to sneak up on you when you were doing something embarrassing. It happened to him enough, he deserved to catch someone in the act every once in a while. On this day in particular he decided to venture out of his apartment and visit the playground, his favorite place at that old school of his. At least with the lack of students he wouldn't have a problem with finding a swing to play on (or so he thought). With him he brought his posse of pets: Toby the ever-annoying dog, Iris the old and decrepit cat, and Sir Cheesepuff the fat lazy cat.
Holding tightly onto Toby's leash and walking slowly so Iris could keep up, Shawn exited his apartment and set his sights on the castle he could see in the distance. After a while of walking, during which he had to pick up Iris so their trip wouldn't take all day, he stepped onto the castle grounds and spotted the playground not too far off. From the distance he could see that it didn't look quite as bright and inviting as usual, and the looks of it only got worse as he continued to walk closer. And it started to sound worse too - was that screaming? He checked his pocket to make sure he'd remembered to bring his wand and sped up to make sure that everything was alright over there, hissing at Toby to shut up as he began to bark in response to the screams. Dogs were terrible companions when you were looking to be stealthy. Actually, in his opinion, dogs were terrible companions in general, but to each their own.
Upon their arrival at the playground Shawn saw that there was nothing to worry about, it was just Brian playing on the slide and screaming like a little girl. He snorted a little as he tried to keep himself from laughing, however his face fell slightly as he saw the state that the playground was in. Though he was upset, he tried to keep his spirits up and instead focused on the fact that he was not the only human being here. "What'd you break all the swings, old man?" he called with a grin as Brian reached the end of the slide, crossing his arms as if he were upset at him.
