Wentworth had anticipated his travels to Hogwarts for sometime now, and here is that moment actualized. Pushing his trolley, filled with newly acquired schooling supplies and such, he pushed his way through the partition between Platforms 9 and 10 and found himself on Platform 9 3/4.
"It's just like Mum said it would be..." Wentworth said in awe of the stately and impressive Hogwarts Express.

Niles had never been in a train station before. His parents were never the type to go on a bunch of vacations. First off, they weren't the wealthiest people; they spent a lot of their extra money on community and charity projects. Secondly, they both had jobs that required them to stay in the same area (his mother was an elementary school teach and his step-father was a police officer). Niles wasn't upset about this; he liked just sitting in his backyard wih a book or investigating the new situations that the Bowtruckles had gotten themselves into. He was a content, low-maintenance boy, with the only desire within him being getting a good grade on the upcoming maths quiz.
So, when Niles finally discovered how to get onto the darned thing (it took some very good eavesdropping on his part to figure out that they were supposed to run through a wall), he was in complete and utter awe at the sight of the scarlet train. His dark hair ruffled from the breeze of hurrying people and he pulled his trunk behind him, his equally as dark eyes trained on the train before him. Suddenly, he found his trunk twisting and turning behind him until it fell to the ground. Looking back, Niles saw that (accidentally, of course) he had run over the foot of a young boy, probably around his age. His cheeks turned as red as the train behind him.
"I-I'm sorry!" he stammered; he was a little socially awkward, but that didn't mean he didn't try. "I was just... looking at the... train..."
Oh yeah. He sounded intelligent.

Wincing, Wentworth recoiled slightly, but couldn't help but feel some compassion for the situation. In as near to a normal and cheerful voice as he could muster he responded, "Oh, no don't worry about it...It was probably my fault. I was starring at the wonder too." For a moment Wentworth was being drawn to stare at the trains' magnificence. "Oh, pardon me and my atrocious manners. I'm Fitzwilliam Wentworth, but everyone calls me Wentworth..." Wentworth extended his hand for a shake.

Gee, this kid sure knew how to talk properly. Sure, Niles was swell in English class, but he didn't talk like that. He was pretty sure nobody talked like that anymore, except actors in a Rennaisance fair. Clearing his throat and containing his urge to raise a judgemental eyebrow, he extended his hand to shake Fitzwilliam's.
"I'm Niles... Auchinleck, but my last name isn't really important." And neither is my first, really... Niles hated his full name -- Cornelius Ezekiel -- so he refrained from telling people it as much as possble. He shook Fitzwilliam's hand firmly (well, as firmly as possible for an eleven-year-old) then quickly picked up his trunk. "So, uh, is this your first year at Hogwarts?"

Waterlily was in absolute aw as she looked to the train in front of her. Her green eyes widened, her dark hair blew slightly with the passing of parents and children, and her mouth was probably half hanging open. She shook her head slightly as she attempted to move her eyes from the amazing sight of the beautiful scarlet train in front of her, knowing she needed to deposit her trunk in the proper place and head off towards the train. This was her first trip to Hogwarts and she was super excited! It was going to be really awesome, she was sure of it. She had studied the material they needed for years, and was ready to finally be taught by a real certified professor of awesome, not just her Daddy.
Lily cleared her throat slightly as she grabbed her trunk's handle more firmly and began to wheel it behind her, her gaze moving from face to face as she made her way to the proper place, finally back to that scarlet engine. Now, if her Daddy hadn't had to be on such a rush to work and could have actually seen her off instead of dropping her off and reminding her how to get through the platform, he would have been able to prevent the oncoming tragedy.
Lily walked briskly, seeing now where they needed to deposit their things, but her eyes averted their gaze from her walk to the engine once again. Yes, for the third time in this blessed post. She was nearly breathless as she moved, and it was probably good because the impact of the two males in front of her probably would have knocked the breath out of her anyway. Waterlily walked straight into two boys, didn't look to be much older than her if older than her at all. She jumped back almost as soon as she'd caused the trouble and nearly tripped backwards over her trunk, but managed to gain her balance. She frowned slightly, her already partially red cheeks flushing even further as she looked at the ground. "I-I-I'm terribly sorry, both of you." She gulped as she looked up, still trying to avoid their gaze. "I should have been paying attention. I was looking at the train."

"Yes it is my first year, why does it show? I'm afraid I appear quite the novice..."Their conversation was just getting started when a most uncommon event ((except for on OH)) occurred... "I-I-I'm terribly sorry, both of you." She gulped as she looked up, still trying to avoid their gaze. "I should have been paying attention. I was looking at the train." The first thing that popped into Wentworth's mind was, I must be invisible today, but he knew better then to say such terse things. Wentworth went over and tried to help Waterlily up. "The train is very beautiful, but are you alright?" Without waiting for an answer he continued, "That looked like quite a tumble. I am very sorry. This is all my fault. I really should be more careful where I'm standing." After helping the girl to her feet, Wentworth straitened his suit coat then extended his hand for a hand shake and said, "Pardon my atrocious manners. I'm Fitzwilliam Wentworth, and this *indicating Niles with his left hand* is Niles, a most recent acquaintance of mine."

Waterlily took his hand kindly and gladly helped ease herself off the ground with his assistance. It was kind of him to help her after she'd so unnervingly tumbled over their feet. "I'm sorry, again." She mentioned as she positioned herself back to a normal, graceful position. Wait.. graceful position? No, Lily didn't even possess a position such as that. "It's not your fault at all, I should have watched where I was walking." She gulped slightly once more and nodded almost vigorously, knowing she looked like a pure idiot right now as he introduced himself, and the guy next to him. They were both a lot taller than her, and as always, height put her in the inferior position. She tried not to scowl as she noticed this.
"I'm Lily Rosefire. Nice to meet you Fitzwilliam, and Niles. Do you have a nickname at all, Fitzwilliam?" She said, taking note of his proper grammar and english. It was a little frightening for the eleven year old. Not all kids at Hogwarts talked like this did they? If so, she was going to look like a blubbering fool next to them, and she was supposed to be smart! Her Daddy had been telling her since she got her Hogwarts letter to hope for Ravenclaw or Slytherin, as long as she wasn't a Gryffindor he would be proud. And to be honest, it made her wonder where she would end up. She always seemed to, even if by accident, go against what he said. But anyway her Daddy had told her Ravenclaw was the house with all the brainiacs like the lovely Lily.
"So, do you know when we have to board the train by? Would you two like to sit with me? I don't think I would like much to sit all by my lonesome."

Before Niles could even reply to Fitzwilliam, he suddenly felt a pain shoot through his leg. The only possible causes of this pain were Fitzwilliam - who seemed to be struggling as much as he was - or the blur of dark hair that was tumbling to the ground.
He made the hypothesis that it was the latter.
Before he could make any sort of attempt to help the girl up, Fitzwilliam did it himself. Niles didn't mind (he wasn't a huge fan of physical contact with people, let alone girls), simply shrugging himself away so that she could stand without bumping shoulders with him.
While Niles was around the middle of the "socialization" scale (he was neither an introvert nor an extrovert, but a little of both), he didn't see it fit to say anything Lily had offered to sit with them. "Sure!" ... wow, he was full of words. "I mean, I don't know anybody yet except for you guys so it'd be nice to not sit alone... or with someone totally mental." Although, both were pretty iffy on the mental scale...

Wentworth's anxiety lessened by quite a bit after both Niles and Lily queried regarding seating. "It's decided then... We'll sit together. In fact, I was rather anxious about the prospect of sitting alone. We'd better go stow our trunks before we hop on-board. Here let me help you with your luggage." Wentworth attempted to heave Lily's trunk onto his trolley, but quickly found that his strength was insufficient for the task. "Niles would you mind helping me just a tad?"

"Awesome." Lily gave a happy thumbs up sign to Niles, excited that they would all be sitting together. And it appeared, just from what he said, that he didn't think she was completely mental.. even after she'd tripped and fallen into the boys. What an unfortunate sight it had been. Now it was all over and neither of the boys was poking fun at her for it, so she had to be thankful it hadn't been some nasty, pimply fifth year boy or something. No, it was just two other gentle first years. Lily sighed and watched as Fitzwilliam attempted to put her trunk onto his trolley.
"Oh you guys don't have to worry about it. I'll take my trunk. Hopefully this time I just don't get distracted by the train." She took her trunk from him excitedly and headed the few yards over to where they were to stow their trunks. She wanted to prove to them that she wasn't just a girl. She was Waterlily Bernadette Rosefire damn it, and she was certainly strong enough - despite her tiny stature - to carry her own trunk. She handed her trunk off to the conductor who was storing them away for the students, and turned to wait on Niles and Fitzwilliam to do the same so they could find an empty spot on the train. She knew the spots would be filling up quickly.

Wentworth was slightly reluctant to give up the trunk, but surrendered it to Lily with out a fight. He followed with his trolley of luggage and left it with the porters. "Here you go sir." He took his claim ticket and sprung up the stairs to both follow the quick moving Lily and to find a good compartment.
((I'll just assume that things are moving along for Niles also))
"So where to sit. An open compartment would be grand." After passing a litany of occupied compartments, Wentworth finally found one that was unoccupied, and opened the door for the others. "Please, after you..."

Lily's nose was slightly scrunched as they made their way through the corridor of the train, attempting to find an open spot. This was a lot harder than she had expected it to be. Almost everywhere was full. But as she could see through each compartment out the window, she noticed there were still tons of students outside with their parents. So maybe as they ventured further back, they would find more open compartments. She followed Fitzwilliam through the crowds of students until finally he opened the door to a compartment for them. She smiled widely at him as she slipped inside. "Thank you sir."
Lily pulled her messenger bag from over her shoulder and sat it in the empty seat next to her, noting that there were enough seats for four people to sit comfortably and six to sit very.. squished. She dug through her bag for one of their first year books in case the boys were to terribly bore her. She'd also heard from her father that the witch would the trolley would come around shortly asking if they'd like anything, and he'd given her enough spare money to enjoy some pumpkin juice and a few treats. She looked about the compartment, taking in the surroundings of it. It was quite homey, for a train. "I wonder when the trolley will come by."

((We're not forgetting you Niles just get in when you can))
All of the effort was worth it. The compartment was very stately and the view would be incredible. Wentworth did have a slight dilemma determining what seat to take. He desired to let Niles take the window seat and he would sit next to him near the door.
"I suppose it will come after we're underway." Wentworth noticed the book that Lily extracted from her messenger bag and asked, "So Lily, what book do you have there? It wouldn't happen to be a textbook?"

Quietly, Niles followed both Fitzwilliam and Lily onto the train. He was a little stressed out, going through his mind and mentally checking to see if he had packed everything. How embarrassing would it have been to get to Hogwarts and realize that he had only packed one pair of knickers? Plus, he felt quite awkward in the company of two totally different people.
Not wanting to sit next to a girl, Niles sat next to Fitzwilliam, in the window seat. He watched as Lily pulled the book out of her bag and listened to her inquire about the trolley. Trolley? He didn't know there was going to be a trolley... His mother had packed him a peanut butter and jam sandwich. Well, at least they would see that he had food and wouldn't think they had to buy him anything... not saying that they would, but some people had a strange habit of being nice.
Not really finding interest in the book that she had extracted that Fitzwilliam did (he was pretty sure he had already read it), Niles pulled out half of his sandwich and began to nibble on it awkwardly. "Does anyone... want a piece?" He asked only to be nice... not like he actually wanted to give away his sandwich.

Upon receiving the offer of a piece of sandwich Wentworth is truely touched by the heart-felt offering, but realized that he too had a bag of food stuffs for his ride to the castle. "That's very generous of you Niles, but I've got my own, but thank you all the same." Wentworth stood and retrieved his sack lunch from the overhead lugage racks. After that he sat to inspect it's content. A bottle of pomegranete juice, a white linen placemat, two Malus sieversii fruit (an ancient apple variety), a half loaf of hearty bread, and a thick slice of Lombardian Fontal cheese. Wentworth couldn't help but think to himself that with so much food in the bag, it would be a waste to not use up the food before arriving. "I'm arraid my Mum thinks I can eat like a horse. Could I offer either of you some? I realize that the content could seem a little peculiar, but its all delicious, I assure you." He spead the placemat on the seat between Niles and himself, and unloaded the content. Luckily he had a pocket knife with him to cut the cheese and 'apples'.
