School work was great, but he wanted to know more, and so he decided the library would be a great place to start. Wentworth took his time finding the most relevant books that would help him in his personal studies. He carried a stack of books that was precariously assembled while trying to find a place to sit down. He passed row after row of occupied tables. He wished at this point that he'd set down his bag on one before sallying forth to find his desired selections.

Melissa had brought Neko-chan to the library to keep her company while she started her homework. She wanted to get ahead in...what classes was she taking again? Lost in her own mind, she wandered around trying to remember when she passed a walking stack of books. She was used to that kind of thing though, so just ignored it, and didn't think to much about it when she passed it again, when she accidentally brushed by and knocked a few off the top.
She huffed and grabbed the books up and was going to put them back on top when she saw the face....oops..."My bad...why don't you use a cart? Or a levitation spell?"

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you. I wished that I'd known we could use the carts. That would have been much easier." It was then that he realized that his manners were matched only by his lack of dexterity with the books. He set down the remaining stack and said, "Where are my manners... I'm Wentworth...Fitzwilliam Wentworth." He extended a hand.
((Sorry about the wait.))

Melissa stuck out her hand for him to shake, "Nice to meet you, I'm Melissa Madison...You researching a report?" she gestured at the stack, then began carrying the books over to her table. Presumptuous, sure, but he didn't look like he was going in any particular directsion so somebody had to take charge...gee wasn't that a familiar feeling >.<

"A pleasure. Well, I'm not really working on school work. I'm just doing a little of my own research. You know some 'light' reading." He was slightly concerned that his subtle attempt at wit regarding the lightness of the reading would go unnoticed, but didn't have a direct way to salient it. "So what brings you to the library today? I'd imagine it can't be anything as dry as the differences in northern and southern British plant species."

She simply grinned and held up her textbooks. "Diversion. I told my roommates I wanted to study, which repels them like....like...." she scrunched up her nose while she tried to think of what was repellent. "Like the opposite from flies to honey" she nodded like that was what she wanted to say all along and picked up one of the books. "Plants? You're into herbology? You're gonna go into that? Or it's some kind of hobby?" she tossed the book onto the table, earning a hiss from Neko-chan who peeked out from the chair he was perched on. "Hush you...or no salmon croquettes later" she warned, which earned a glare before the huge cat settled back down.

"Yes, Plants. I've felt drawn to them ever since I saw my fist mimbulus mimbletonia." His gaze got momentarily lost in reminiscence, and then snapped back to reality, "No I'd love to get into Herbology as a profession. You know...hunting for those rare specimens that grow in the most dangerous of locales." It was then that he realized that he was capitalizing on the conversation. "And Melissa, are you just trying to escape your roommates or are you really trying to study?"

"It's cool you already know what you're gonna do. I have no idea myself." She frowned at the stack as if they were covered in owl poop. "You're kidding right? Study? Classes just started, we don't even know what we're covering yet. I'm not one to study without some kind of goal..." she pulled out a comic from her bag, featuring a guy running from a mass of greenish/gray tinged raggedy people with white opaque eyes and wide open mouths twisted into various grimaces. Too bad Hogwarts didn't have reading on the upcoming zombie apocalypse, or she'd be in the library day and night.

Rosie crept in to the Library hearing that a certain Melissa Madison was there. Getting her needle at the ready she slipped up behind the girl and whispered in her ear. "Time for you Vaccinations luv"

"I guess it's just a matter of finding what excites your passion. I feel drawn toward Herbology because I'm interested in how plants work." He was trying to be as helpful as possible with out getting to rhetorical. "So I guess the question is...What is it Ms. Melissa Madison that excites you?" Now being 11 years of age his intent was legitimate. Indicating the chairs at the table, "would you care to sit down?"

Melissa didn't hear Fitzwilliam because the voice that had been haunting Melissa's nightmares suddenly was too close to bear. The scratchy wicked witch mocking tones sounded in her ear and she screeched in terror, her dreams of horror now a reality: She screamed a scream worthy of a b movie queen and leaped over the chair held out for her, raced out the double doors not daring to look back.....

"And I thought that I was afraid of needles." Wentworth just watched as the frantic Melissa jetted her way out of the library. After that he turned to his stack of books with a little bit less enthusiasm, but still determined.

Rosie sighed "I promise it won't hurt and I have cookies" she called after the fleeing girl. "And I WILL find you Miss Madison" she called down the hall as she left the library. Apparently she would have to get more creative in her efforts with this one.
((Rofl That pic!)
