Devin headed down from the castle dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a white t-shirt that she decorated earlier in the common room with arts and crafts.
In her hand was a sign that would be much needed for the protest.
She had sent members of the SPEW club each an owl with a message about time and date of the protest. Even though the date was the day after. So when the time came she was out there with a decorated Tank by her side barking in excitement. She picked the lawns due to it's publicness and would be a great place to raise awareness and get the right voices heard. Raising her side she took a nervous deep breath, "Elf rights need to come! Done with unfair treatment, yes indeed!" She chanted.
( sooo, everyone is needed for this ♥ SPEW members, regular students or perhaps those against the cause. anything to make it fun. ^^ blank t-shirt and picket sign for anyone who would like to decorate their own (: )

Kit made her way down to the lawns wearing a tattered dress she'd fashioned together out of some old bedsheets that she'd dirtied on the lawn earlier today, the sign she'd made gripped firmly in her hand. She'd decided to use Troy's suggestion at the last S.P.E.W. meeting to make a statement through dressing up like a house elf. Of course, she didn't look completely exposed or over-the-top, but it was enough to make her feel uncomfortable and she hoped enough to make people question the humanity of house elves' living and working conditions. If a witch or wizard shouldn't be forced to live in such destitution, why was it okay for a house elf to? Kit had certainly earned a number of stares on her way over to the protest site. But whereas she once would have smiled and laughed awkwardly at these people, blushed and maybe tripped over something in her embarrassment, now she just met their looks with a stony, determined glare. Despite her discomfort in this stupid dress, she actually felt kinda... powerful. She was glad people were looking. In fact, she hoped they kept looking long enough to decide to join in on the protest. Finally reaching the lawns, Kit smiled when she saw Devin was already there. "Hey!" she called, jogging over to join her. The attendance still seemed to be sparse, but hopefully it would pick up as it got later. She raised her sign along with Devin's, planting her fist firmly on her hip. Wooo, let's get this party started. "SUPPORT EQUALITY! SET THE HOUSE ELVES FREE!"
