Charlie was super excited for today. Since it was the middle of November and freezing cold, she decided that now would be as good a time as ever to have a freakin' dance party! After she had attended all of her classes for the week, she sent a school owl to her parents, requesting that they would let her out of school for the weekend to become "culturally educated." Really, she just wanted to spend their money and wreck havoc, but it sounded very convincing, so her parents agreed to let her come with a few of her friends (AKA, people who post here ).
Was a boom box there? Weeeelll, she didn't own one, but she was sure that the old hobo that lived under a bridge wouldn't mind loaning his. Even if the box was ancient, it would do. And the man was VERY gracious. He only asked for a cheese burger and some firewhiskey. Easy! She brought the boom box toward a crowded street and attempted to make it work. Her parents had confiscated her wand for the trip, so she couldn't do any magical damage, but she was pretty good with this "techno" thing. I mean, she could turn on a TV! Who else in the world could do that? So, she flipped some switches, and heard a LOUD sound escape the speakers. That was definitely not good for her ears, but it made other muggles that were walking down the street look.
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, perchaka, BOOM.
Yeah, that was a sweet beat. She kinda wiggled around to it and summoned other passersby to join. "Come on!" she said while waving her arms. They seemed to think the small girl was crazy! YESSSS! She stood on top of the box and screamed over the base, "Your LIVES ARE PUUUUUTHETIC. You WANT to DANCE! I just KNOW it." She was like Moses preaching to the Israelites ... at least she thought. Charlie really wasn't the religious type, but, then again, who was at Hogwarts.
This was gunna rock her socks off, literally. The feeling of the music was making her socks feel really uncomfortable, maybe because she was still standing atop the box. Right. She hopped off and continued dancing to the beat. "Thanks, Mr. Hobo!" she shouted to the wind. Maybe he could hear ...
