Acama flipped through the pages with little interest. The book was horribly boring much like everything else as of late. He decided to give up trying to do something productive with his time and shut his eyes for a moment. He had to come up with something to do with Morse or he'd go insane. There was an old man blabbering on and on somewhere nearby and Acama tried his best to block him out and focus on his mental 'to do' list, but dozed off momentarily in the process. The book slipped out of his hand and made a 'clank' as it hit the floor, awaking him almost immediately. He looked around confused for a moment and noticed the cheesy guy was looking dead at him. "Oh uh, you say something pal? I couldn't hear you over the old guy.." he took a second to scan the room, but there was no trace of the old man. "Must have been selling something.." he shrugged and shut his eyes once again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After listening to the boys and after a few seconds of stunned silence Kat gave her mind a little shake and tried to find exactly where she had stowed her normal self. Finding it she jumped away from Jacob taking his Jacket with her and then stood so she could see both boys.
"What the Hickory Farms is the matter with you" she screamed at the strange and sarcastic boy first "Do you really think we care what your annoying little self has to say" she snarled hand landing on hip as she leaned forward so he could hear her screams better "And Slytherins are not Bimbo's you arrogant foul smelling cretin"
Whipping her head so hard her hair swung around and smacked her in the face she then turned her attentions to Jacob. Who she had thought she had been enjoying an evening with. "And you" she snapped rolling her eyes "While you may call me Princess as I am certainly royalty, do not assume that I can not speak for myself" she stamped her foot at him, her eyes flashing with anger "I am perfectly okay with boys standing up for a girl but" she snarled on "Do NOT talk about me as if I am not there" She glared at both of them for good measure before looking back at Jacob again "And what the Hopscotch do you mean "her overwhelming charms" you make me sound like a common harlot" Shaking with anger she marched over to a chair against the wall and slammed herself in it, making sure to divide her evil stares equally between the boys.

He relinquished the jacket to her as she got up, and sat in utter amazement at her reaction to the situation.
Jacob was struck deeply by her comments and reaction to his defense. True, he did overexert himself slightly, but he'd had good intentions, or at least he'd intended his message to be nothing but positive toward her. Perhaps all-out flattery was the wrong approach to take, but she does fit the 'Princess' mold so very well.
As for the brigand intruder, Jacob was sorely tempted to grab his wand and hex the boy for interrupting the proceedings of the night, but he couldn't find too much fault in his actions. After all, he's allowed to be here just as much as the next student.
He looked her in the eye and with a slightly penitent but strong voice said, "If calling it as I see it is a crime then I'm definitely guilty. Are your charms overwhelming? I think so. However, you are definitely no harlot." He waited for his attempt at redemption to sink in.

Acama always figured since they named the place the Rooftop Lounge, he'd be able to relax and lounge about without being bothered, but that was just never the case. He was stuck with a couple of overly sensitive dramatic loudmouths. It was unclear to him why his fellow Gryffindor had his knickers in a bunch. Could it be that the truth hurt? As for the girl, if she was dumb enough to actually fall for the Casanova crap the kid was trying to play off, she was a walking contradiction. She was most definitely just another Slytherin bimbo.
He gave up trying to have a peaceful afternoon and sat upright to face the girl first. "What exactly are you upset about? Last time I checked, you are a bimbo. What else do you call a girl who throws herself at guys she doesn't even know? Hey, it's your business so do what you want but don't get a hissy fit when the reputation you're building for yourself catches up with you." It was true, he'd watched enough Maury Polvich with his grandfather to know when a girl had enough potential to become a full fledge hussy, and this girl most certainly had what it took.
He rolled his eyes at Mr. Romance and laughed. "Oh will you give a rest? I don't see how you'll ever get to second base with a girl when all you do is run your mouth." He focused his attention to the girl once more, and continued, "Hey look, you don't seem all that bad...maybe a little misguided. If you ever wanna spend time with someone who isn't a complete bore, I'm your guy.." he grinned.

Kat stomped her feet against the floor as she continued to stare at the two infuriating bits of the male sex that were in the room with her. Jacob with his pretty words had annoyed her for speaking for her and that was bothersome. The real problem however was the other boy because although he was a loud mouthed pompous little twit he also had a point. Kat had allowed herself to be coaxed and had in fact turned her own charms on a boy she had know for less then hour. She increased her glare at the boy and squirmed in her seat angry at him for being right, and for being such a jerk.
Finally she stood letting the jacket slip from her shoulders and stay in the chair. Striding first to Jacob she stopped in front of him kneeling, eyes snapping "You sir," she started placing her hand angrily on his chest as she spoke "should take some lessons on being the member of the royal court" she told him pushing a little harder with her hand "Princesses don't like to be made to feel stupid or cheap" she said before whipping around sending hair in to his face as she stomped over to the nasty critter in the chair.
"And as for you," she said leaning over so she as an inch from his annoyingly attractive face "You need to learn dental hygiene" she cringed moving back a few more inches before continuing her little triad "What the hockey sticks do you know anyway, Have you ever even been with a girl?" she rolled her eyes "Guessing by your lovely hygiene and your charming social skills I am thinking not" she resisted the urge to smack him as she thought over his last little statement. Then she remembered something else he had said to her "oh yeah" she leaned closer getting her face so close it was almost touching before screaming "I AM NOT A BIMBO"

Well, the night appeared to be an utter loss. He'd have to recover his attempt on another occasion. As Acama spoke with limitless lack of tact, Jacob couldn't help but say something
"Rapscallion," he interjected as the buffoon called her a bimbo. Who wanted to get to second base with this guy, and moreover, who was this guy to call anyone a bimbo?
Kat's response was unexpected, but not as bad as he'd imagined after the verbal diarrhea he'd just heard. He did feel sorry that she'd been put in a uncomfortable situation, but he didn't want to exacerbate the situation further by trying to defend her. He stood and in a somber but rebellious tone said, "Well, I've had a lovely time, but Adieu Miss Katerina." He made his way to the glass door that led to the snow covered deck. On his way he removed his wand and summoned his jacket "Accio Jacket". He dawned the jacket and said, "I hope I'll see you around..." He opened the door and stepped out into the cold allowing his boots to crunch the snow "Accio Broom" While he waited for the broom to arrive he turned back to Acama and said, "And champ...you should apologize to the lady. That's just plain rude," as he closed the door behind himself.

Acama yawned in the girl's face, not phased by her scary Slytherin girl routine. He was pleased the cheesy bozo decided to leave, but unfortunately he didn't take the floozy with him. There was no chance of him getting any sort of peace and quiet as long as she was around, so he thought it best to return to his dorm. It was all rather sad really. He didn't understand why all people his age wanted to do was snog strangers in public places and shut out anyone who wasn't a potential date. It was actually quite disgusting, he thought..but why could he do? "You have a nice day and try to keep your legs closed, kay?" he smiled and hurried off to the dorms.

Sitting back on the floor Kat watched the boy leave in amazement. What a little brat she thought to herself as she wrapped her arms around her knees and thought over the situation. Perhaps she had let herself behave in a way she didn't normally but how was it that little Prigs place to judge. He was worse the the little brat from the lawns she thought taking her shoes off and the throwing the at the door the boy had left from. Men who needed them she thought as she looked at her fallen shoes. I shouldn't have done that she thought regretfully those shoes probably cost more then that commoners yearly allowance.

Jacob could see the water vapor freeze in mid-air as he exhaled in the cold outside. His broom was on its way, and he could just make out its silhouette of its movement in the distance. He chanced a peek into the enclosure of the Lounge, only to see Kat seated on the stone floor in an obviously uncomfortable and emotionally charged state. He'd wondered what more the other boy could have said to her. Jacob could feel the broom getting closer and turned in time to catch the handle and bring it to a quick stop. There were flakes of snow still falling in the cold exterior, and the quiet it invoked made him long to return to not only the conversation of friends, but to be near people. He is such an extrovert that he could not just let someone sit alone, especially after being accosted by such a brigand.
He tapped the glass door, and opened the door just enough to allow him access. He entered, and quickly shut the door behind him. "Are you alright Kat?"

Acama didn't make it very far before realizing he left the lounge without his book. It was really a piece of crap and had it been his own book he most likely would not have bothered, but it belonged to someone else and he would have to return it eventually. When he returned to the lounge not only was the girl still there, but the Gryffindor kid was present as well. It seemed to Acama that the guy really had no intention of leaving and planned to wait until Acama was out of the way so that he could come back and finish whatever it is he was doing. Somewhat grossed out, he ignored the two and retrieved his book from where it had fallen, and seated himself. He suddenly found himself too fatigued to make the walk back to the dorms just yet.

Jacob tried with his utmost to ignore the boys return and opted to offer his apologies to Kat. He maintained his focus on her with a repentant tone he said, "I'm sorry if I offended you with my behavior. Have a good night." He extracted his goggles from his jacket pocket put them on and stepped back out into the cold, mounted his broom, and kicked-off into the gently falling snow.
