Ashur scoffed at her, making a mimic of some high and mighty hoity toity person behind her back, knowing she wouldn't catch it. "And what's wrong with second years?" He question almost accusingly, but with a smile on his face. "And you're correct on your assumption; I'm a Gryffindor, same as half my family was. The other half were Slytherins. I would have cringed and probably died and gone to Hell had I been sorted into Slytherin. I'm nothing like the ones in my family."
The blonde followed her outside, treading carefully so as not to slip and fall and, oh maybe, grab Kadi's clothes in the process. It would be just a little embarassing if he accidentally yanked down her pants or something. When she slipped, he reached out, ready to catch her if she fell. However she righted herself and he smiled. "You have such cat-like reflexes."

Kadi laughed softly, "Nothing, nothing at all." she teased softly, then shook her head. Her eyes focused on the path around her feet, trying not to step on the thick chunks of ice. She bit the inside of her lip thoughtfully then sighed, "Not all Slytherin's are bad Ashur.. some just..." she paused, not knowing how to explain it. She groaned, pictures of her brother Kyler crossing her mind, "have the shitty end of the stick." she muttered quietly. She gave him a soft smile, "You could have been in Slytherin. You could have shown them whos boss." she stated with a smirk.
She giggled at the male's comment, loving the irony in his statement. "Hm.. you think so?" she stated, almost as if she knew some inside joke. She rubbed her arms, an attempt to keep herself warm from the fridged air.

Ashur lapsed into silence as she mentioned showing them who was boss. He toyed with one of his lip rings from the inside as he thought over some of the ways his parents kept him from being able to do that. He shook the thought off and cleared his throat. He was keeping to the cat topic and that was that. No need to mope, after all. He should be happy that he was just away from them, no matter what house he was in.
"Yeah, I do. I mean, had I slipped just then, I'd-" as if his body was wanting to prove his point, his feet skidded on a patch of ice and his butt met the floor. "Cold...." He pouted softly and mostly to himself.

Kadi stopped, hearing a thud from behind her. She slowly turned around to see what happened, only to see Ashur sprawled out of the ground with an adorable pout on his lips. She bit her lip, trying to hide her laughter. She couldn't laugh at him.. he fell.. "I think.." she giggled softly, stretching her hand out for him, "you jinxed yourself." she spoke softly, amusement laced in her voice.

"Most likely..." HE muttered with a pout, gaze averted as if seeing her amusement would further wound his ever-evident, typical-in-a-male, pride. He took her hand and used his free hand to help hoist himself back to his feet. He brushed the fast-melting snow off of himself and smiled as if nothing had happened. "Thank you~...so, um...where are we headed?"

A soft smile appeared on the older girl's pink lips as he allowed her to help him off the ice. So maybe, just maybe, he wasn't like the typical Slytherin's. Yes, she knew he wasn't a Slytherin, but he had his rare moments, and she was just a little cautious about it. She didn't want him to be like Bonnie. She mentally grimaced at the name, she was always the prefect that caught her causing mischief. She chuckled softly, a shrugging slightly at his answer as she turned away from him and continued down the path until she finally got close enough to the edge of the building to look down. From what she could see, it was only a couple of feet before there was a snow bank. She didn't care, personally if it was an ice mountain and not fluffy snow, just more of a reason to miss out on Christmas. She grinned, "We're going on a little midnight adventure?" she stated with a confident smile, butterflies filling her stomach

Ashur peered over the edge with her. As he glanced down, his stomach seemed to drop a bit. She was crazy!!! She had to be! However, he wouldn't dare voice that aloud. God only knew if she was the overly-adventurous-crazy kind or the push-you-off-a-building-for-saying-it kind. And he was in no hurry to find out. He instead closed his eyes and took a deep, silent breath. No use letting a silly little fear get to him...though you wouldn't find him playing Quidditch on a broom stick that high up. Ever.
"You're not thinking of jumping are you? You'll most likely break something." He said, as if it wasn't obvious enough.

Kadi looked over at the younger boy, looking him over to watch his reaction after her looked over the edge. He looked terrified. For a boy, he wasn't very brave.. Especially a Gryffindor! HAH! She was pretty sure they sorted him into the wrong group. She smirked, "I won't break anything if it's just snow.. but if I do, I know a nifty spell so I don't have to go to the hospital wing again." she grinned, before taking a step forward to let gravity push her towards the ground faster. She looked below her, the mound shining from the moonlight, but a smile appeared on her lips as she saw the mound move a bit from the wind. Once she hit the ground, snow scattered around her in puffs. She gasped loudly as she cold snow seeped through her thing clothes and touched her skin. Gotta love winter... she thought happily, with a bitter tone. She crawled out of the pile and laughed as she looked up at the blond male, "Get your butt down here Boy-o!!! It's just SNOW!!" she teased, playfully, staring up at him expectantly

Ashur sighed briefly and looked behind him, making sure no one came out behind him. The last thing he needed was being expelled for what looked like a suicide attempt. Then, he'd be stuck home with his family...forever. He shuddered then jumped. It was as if the cold air pushed his stomach up into his throat. Oh Hell, I can't believe I jumped! He felt the shock run up through his legs and to the rest of his body as he hit the ground. He then felt the instantaeous cold as snow snuggled with him. He made his way out of the pile and smiled, feeling a bit more relaxed. "That wasn't so bad.." He knew she'd give him crap now. His smile went away as he quinted at something in the distance. "What is that?" He asked curiously, and stepped closer.
It looked like a grey horse, but when it moved it's head towards them, it klinked and klanked like a rusting piece of machinery. It blinked it's obsidian eyes; and what eyes they were! They were the size of a volleyball and the shape of a wedge of cheese. It lowered it's head as if sniffing the air in their direction, then took another klinkety klankety step their way.

Kadi took a few steps back, just so he wouldn't land on her, unsure where exactly he was going to hit the ground. She turned her head away, a smile growing on her lips as she heard him hit the snow. She turned back to him, a grin on her face, "And, to think, I thought you were going to chicken out." she teased softly. Her smile disappeared as she looked at him in confusion, when his facial expression changed. "What?" she asked, then turned around and froze upon seeing the strange gray horse.
She reached out and grabbed the back of Ashur's shirt, holding it tightly. "I don't know... but you never know if walking towards it is insulting... So, please, don't get us killed..." she muttered quietly

As Ashur watched and the horse moved closer, a-klinking and a-klanking away, he caught a slight gleam from the moonlight on it's neck. Realization dawned on him; it was mechanical or robotic. He smiled and waltzed on out towards it as it walked their way. "Kadi, it's only mechanical. So it probably doesn't have much intelligence of its own." The closer he got to it, the more he realized just how...small...it realy was. In fact, it was only about waist-high once he was up near it. It lifted its head and blinked at him, making him shiver. Those eyes....they were just too inteligent for his liking. He reached out and touched it, feeling the icy metal of its neck. He continued stroking it this way and al it did was stare at him, as if trying to figure him out. "Its okay!!!!" He called to Kadi happily, and the robohorse's gaze panned across the snowy space until it was staring at the Hufflepuff.

Kadi sighed heavily, letting the boy slip through her fingers as he neared the horse. She had never seen something like that before, it for some reason it made her nervous. She watched the younger gryffindor closely as he reached out to touch the horse's mane, then let out a nervous breath that she didn't realize that she had been holding since the male walked off when the horse didn't do anything to hurt Ashur. She smiled, her nervous feeling showing with the smile with the mechanical horse's eyes landed on her. She walked over towards the two, her smokey eyes watching the horse expectantly. "A mechanical horse? Well... I guess I've seen weirder..." she murmered once she was close enough for Ashur to hear her, as she seemed to squat down to come eye level with the horse, reaching out hesitantly before she touched the cold horse. She shiver ran through her at the horse's gaze... "Do you think this is weird..?"

"Why, yes, I do." A distinctly tinny British accent came from the horse's knees. Ashur leapt back in surprise, falling in a nice slushy pile of snow. Clearly whoever had built this thing put the voice box in the wrong area. Though...it could have been worse. "I've been standing out here all bloody winter and none have come to see me, then I get the two adrenaline junkies leaping off of buildings into snow drifts. What, were you trying to fly?" The horse snorted, a sound that reminded Ashur of a few screws rattling around in a tin can. It shook it's head; something that seemed to be a glitchy slow-mo action full of groaning metal.
"Um...what?" Ashur asked incredulously.
The robohorse tossed it's head up, as if it was a snooty person sticking their nose up in the air. The action, again, was slow and rickety, as if the thing's neck was on the verge of just falling off. "Of course my only company would include someone with the brain of a cheetah."
"Well, thank you..." Ashur accepted the compliment cautiously, but was quickly brought to shame by tinny laughter that sounded like a cross between a laughing human and a horse whinnying.
"You buffoon. You humans think a cheetah is a smart animal? Hardly! In fact, the only smart creature in existance is the dolphin. Well, second smartest. The smartest thing in existance is a nanohorse." He held his head up proudly, the groaning and creaking of his rusting metal body dulling a bit as he stopped moving.

Kadi's eyes widened, falling back onto her butt when she horse spoke to them. She listened to the horse speak, wanting to speak, but every time she went to open her mouth Ashur managed to cut in and make matter's worse. She groaned, "Hey now~ I don't care if your the smartest what-cha-ma-cholic on the planet... you have no right to insult someone you don't even know buddy~" she snapped, glaring at the mechanical horse. She didn't care if he wasn't even real... he still insulted Ashur.. and herself. "Maybe I should throw you off the side of the building." she threatened quietly, narrowing her eyes at the horse, waiting to hear some kind of british snobby response. "è äóìàòü ... ß ñîáèðàëñÿ áûòü ëþáåçíûì è âûâåäåò âàñ âíóòðü .." she scoffed, "íå áîëüøå." she grumbled.
(and to think I was going to being you inside... well not anymore.)

"Êòî ñêàçàë, ÷òî ÿ õîòåë âîéòè âíóòðü? Åñòü áîëüøå ëþäåé ïðèìåðíî òàê æå áëåñòÿùèì, êàê ýòîò ..." (Who says I wanted to come inside? There are more humans about as brilliant as this one...) The horse responded, immediately switching to the language she was using and nodding at Ashur, the creaking picking up again. "Âû, ñ äðóãîé ñòîðîíû ... Âû âèäåëè óìíûå. Êàê âû âåòåð ñ åãî ðîäà?" (You, on the other hand...You seen smart. How did you wind up with his sort?) The nanohorse switched back to English for the simple human's sake. "I am Sandangar, generation 3 model 00791.25. Most of my herd died of a vicious virus.. I was lucky to escape before the virus could infect me."
Right...it's not like you have ANY wires crossed as it is... Ashur thought to himself as he looked away and rolled his eyes.
Sandangar snorted- there goes that loose screw rattle!- and turned his intelligent gaze on Ashur. "I heard that, you git."
Ashur crossed his arms and looked away, pouting like a first year might when they learn they aren't old enough for a certain class. Sandangar shook his head to the right a bit, as if he had a bit of a nervous twitch going on, his gaze starting to really give the blonde male the creeps. "S-Sandagar..." Ashur began. "...How...How did you know what I was thinking?"
Sandagar's sides creaked eerily loudly as he heaved a sigh and lightly headbutted the human. "You incompetent half-wit, did you not hear me? I am a nanohorse, I know everything. In fact, if you asked me the meaning of life, the universe, and everything I could tell you." Sandangar glanced at Kadi expectantly, acting as if Ashur wasn't there at all. "No one ever tests my knowledge; they all just take my word for it."
