The library was quiet exactly how Nat liked it, she walked by the few librarians and found table to sit at. For months Nat had been reading, what you might ask? well she was reading all sorts of things. Try as she might to enter the restricted area she was always met with a foul ghoul. So she kept to the isles of M-R, so many books and she had loads of spare time. Inside fantasy Nat found herself getting absorbed into various stories, of long ago hero's. Each page capturing her to read further and feel like she was actually living it as well. The latest novel that had captured her The Sea of Monsters.
Nat was in the middle of the twelfth chapter and so caught up she hadn't realized how long she really had been inside the library. Missing dinner in the great hall she shrugged moving so that she laid back on the bench, not too worried at who might be around. Nat made herself at home. She was a respected Ravenclaw and if there was any doubt in ones head there shouldn't be. Nat was very much at home inside the library.

Jacob's closet introvert was waxing as he entered the library for a break from the duties of the Host Club. Of course being the person he is he couldn't help but be extra-attentive to the needs of lonely people, even if they thought they were at home in the library.
He saw Natalie from a distance, he may have come needing a little quiet, but quiet can be just as fun an environment to flirt in. He sat near her and without speaking aloud he tried to catch her attention by waving and then mouthed the words, "Hi, I'm Jacob." The distance would not have permitted any audible communication that wouldn't have been stifled by the librarian.

The book was so good she didn't want to put it down, pages flipped silently as she was fully absorbed into its contents. Nat slid deeper into chair, fascinated by the words there inside written. The voyage had taken the hero to the island of sirens, he and his friend narrowly escape only to find themselves on cyclops land. Nat read on and on her imagination ran wild.
Her imagination was going full steam ahead when a fluttering of something caught her eye. Nat was so startled she sat up swinging her legs around, her feet touching the floor. With her heart racing some she glanced around until her eyes settled on someone else just a few feet away from her. Not being sure how long he had been sitting there she smiled and returned to her book. How could she had forgotten where she was, naturally there would be someone else there.

((OOC: Great book by the way. // ))
His first attempt to capture her attention thwarted, Jacob realized that her intent on reading the book was currently higher than being distracted. He needed to use a different angle; not that he wanted to distract her, but that he hadn't met her yet and even though he was feeling less than extroverted currently, he knew that his true out-going personality would claw to the surface in an occasion such as this. He looked at the book in her hands and noticed it was one of the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan. He'd read the series and could partly understand her resistance to distraction.
He pulled a piece of parchment and writing materials out of his book bag and sat them on the table top. It was a good thing that his mother had insisted on him taking all of those penmanship classes, because he needed his script to be in first-class form when he slipped this note into her book:
I really like Rick Riordan. He may be a muggle, but he has a fantastic way of portraying the magical world. I sometimes wondered if he may be connected in some way to the wizarding world. However, I digress, I'm afraid we have not met yet. I'm Jacob Clark. Nice to meet you.
It wasn't a large note, maybe the size of a bookmark, 6 cm by 15 cm. The edges were crisp and stiff. The ink with which he wrote was deep blue and the finer the lines in the script the darker the hue.

(( I'm taking the next two books on vaca this week!! )) Nat read on she was dying to find out what happens next, if she could have gotten away with munching on chips in the library she would have. She was totally captivated by the story that her eyes scanned the pages. A paper floated onto her book, she blinked but read it. "I really like Rick Riordan. He may be a muggle, but he has a fantastic way of portraying the magical world. I sometimes wondered if he may be connected in some way to the wizarding world. However, I digress, I'm afraid we have not met yet. I'm Jacob Clark. Nice to meet you." Nat reached into her own pack pulling out a pen. In her own writing she wrote a note back to him. Now she knew who he was, Jacob Clark. " Hello Jacob, it is nice to meet you too. I'm Natalie Gibson. I love this story, he's an amazing writer! When she was done she passed the note back to him, glancing up making sure she wouldn't make any noise. She folded down the corner of her page so she wouldn't loose her spot. Then looked back up to him.

((Then I should divulge the juiciest of secrets about the end of each… Just kidding, but they do keep getting more action-packed.))
He was stunned when he’d succeeded to transverse the communication barrier that was a bond between a keen reader and a good book. He approached carefully and sat in a chair next to her. In a quiet whisper, as to not attract the attentions of the Librarian, he said, “A pleasure to meet you Natalie.” He extended his hand for her to shake, and then continued, “I love that book, and it’s fantastic with terrifically quick imagery and character development. Where are you in the story?” He peeked at the book and saw the chapter in the page header, but the short title for the chapter name didn’t include the chapter number.

(( I'm sorry my vaca was good, but what happened after has left me with quite a chunk of time off line. I had time to read the other stories and love each of them! I had let Emma know- sad to say I don't have the others on my cell...))
Nat moved and sat straighter, he moved over to sit next to her as her eyes darted from him to the librarian. His voice was so low, she had to lean slightly to hear him. Looking down at her book she smiled and turned it so that he could read as her left finger pointed to the line that she had left off. She had to whisper back, even thou she knew the Librarian she still didn't want to end up in detention with Professor Lathan. "This part, he's on his way to the island." her eyes looked back down at the book before she looked back at him. "I can't wait to find out what happens next." Nat's eyes sparkled it had been a long time since anyone had even talked to her about one of the things she loved, reading.
