It was dark, cold, & damp outside, the clouds where dark & there was a rainy feeling throughout the air. Emmet had been outside when the storm was just coming in. He figured he'd better hurry inside before he actually got rained on. He got to the big wooden doors just before it started pouring on him. He had a few droplets on him after he had walked inside the castle. He shook them off & sighed a bit. "Guess that means no more going outside." He said to himself out loud.
Emmet then looked around at were he was standing, stairs where moving & pictures on the wall were also doing the same. He smirked a bit, he actually liked being in a place like this, were something was the same & everyday was different. He then started walking, he actually had no idea where he might be going but he had kinda an idea where.
Emmet then got to the place & when he did, he opened the door to the Library. He hadn't been here sense he got here, so he guessed now was as good a time as any to check it out. He shrugged a bit when he walked in. Looked the same as any other library. Emmet walked over to a random shelf picked out a book & sat down.

After a long summer of basking in the sun, spending "quality time" with the family, and of course waiting impatiently for school to start back up again, Annalisse felt the need to make a trip to the library and make sure she would still know what she was doing by the time classes started. How embarrassing would it be if she went to her first class and couldn't perform a single spell? Of course that wasn't very likely to happen, seeing as the girl read her spellbooks almost every night before bed like a good little Ravenclaw. There was something different about actually performing the spells though, which she was painfully not allowed to do while she was at home with her muggle parents. Oh, she was counting the days until she turned seventeen and could do magic any time she wanted.
The library wasn't a place that she visited very often, preferring to study in the comfort of the Ravenclaw common room, however she hadn't received her new books yet and she wanted to try some new things, maybe impress a professor or two when classes started up. When Anna walked into the library she felt rather overwhelmed, staring up at the rows of books that reached all the way up to the ceiling. How was she supposed to pick just one? How was this place even organized? She looked around for a librarian but didn't see anyone, or hear anyone for that matter; maybe they didn't have librarians here this early in the term.
Wrinkling her nose, she meandered through some rows of books and began collecting some that sounded interesting, resolving to find a table when she'd found four or five. Seeing as she thought the library had been empty, Anna was startled when she turned a corner to find a boy sitting at one of the tables. She let out a small squeak and jumped back, wincing as the top two books slipped out of her arms and landed on the floor with a thump. So much for a quiet library. "Sorry!" she said quietly as she bent over to retrieve her fallen books, hoping she hadn't disturbed him too much. "I didn't think anyone else was in here."

Emmet sat there, leaning back in his chair careful not to fall over, if he did think he was going to fall over he caught himself just in time. He smirked a bit & rolled his eyes. 'Why am I here again?' He thought to himself. He then shrugged a bit & looked about. Still no one around, didn't anyone go to school here? Or was everyone trying to avoid him because he was a nasty mean ol' slytherin? He didn't know, he shook his head at the though & rolled his eyes once again.
Emmet then put his chair back down on all fours & picked up the book that he had just randomly picked up from one of the shelves. It was a History Of Magic book. 'I picked up this randomly?' He thought to himself, but then he figured if he just picked it up randomly then he just might take the class. He knew that the term was starting soon, so he might as well pick classes now.
Emmet was shocked to hear someone speak to him, he jumped a bit & looked at the person, he then set his own book down & got up & picked one of the books that the girl dropped on the floor. He handed it back to her & smiled a bit. "Sorry if I scared you ma'am." He said handing the book back to her. "You alright?"

Anna took the book that the boy handed her with a smile, adding it back to the top of her pile and then sitting them on the table to avoid any more spills. "Thanks, and I'm okay. Just got a little spooked there," she replied with a sheepish smile. "But it's alright, I mean it was my fault assuming that no one was in here. I'm the one that should have been doing the scaring, sneaking around here like that...and I apologize if I did." She laughed lightly and leaned against the table, waiting for her heart to get the message that there was no danger so it would stop beating so fast.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked, gesturing to one of the other chairs at the table. "I mean, it's totally fine if you were trying to study alone or something. There's probably a bunch of other tables." She glanced around, seeing another one a few rows back. It might be even more weird for her to sit at a table down there where she could still see him though.

Emmet looked at the girl. He was astounded by how much she was talking, he wondered if she talked to much when she got nervous. He brushed the thought off though & smiled a bit at her. "No ma'am, you didn't scare me." He said in his sorta southern accent. Yea, Emmet did have a southern twang to his words, slowly though that was going away from being at Hogwarts so much. Emmet waited for her to settle down a bit more before he spoke. Once she did he smiled a bit at her to reassure her that everything was alright. "Are you sure your alright?" He asked her.
"Yea, you can sit here if you'd like, I really wasn't doing much." He said to her & looked back at the book he picked up off of the shelf. He raised his eye brow at it & then dropped it when he looked back at the girl. "Oh sorry, where are my manners? I'm Emmet, Emmet Danvers." He said holding out his hand & then he took it back when he saw she was sort of struggling with the books. Emmet took the tall stack of heavy books out of her hands & set then down on the table, he then put his hand back out. "& you are?" He asked kindly.

Anna smiled as he told her that she hadn't scared him, then nodded her head as he asked again if she was alright. "I'm fine, really! Happens all the time," she said reassuringly, shrugging her shoulders to indicate that it really was nothing. If she had a galleon for every time her brother jumped out from behind something to intentionally scare her, she'd be one rich witch.
Hearing that it was alright for her to sit at his table she smiled at him again and tried to maneuver her books so she could sit down without tipping them out of her arms. She paused as the boy introduced himself, looking down at his hand as he held it out and laughing as he realized it was a silly idea. "Thank you!" she said gratefully as he took the books, thinking that she'd been a little overzealous as she saw just how big the pile was when he say it on the table. "I'm Annalisse Childs, Anna for short. It's very nice to meet you Emmet." She smiled, repeating his name in her head a few times to make sure she wouldn't forget it.
Without the burden of the books it was much easier for her pull out her seat and sit down, and she did just that. She pushed the books off to the side of her so they wouldn't block her view of Emmet and then looked up at him thoughtfully. "Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?"she asked, having noticed his accent but being unable to place it. She knew if she didn't find out it would bug her for the rest of the day, and she would probably never get it on her own since she'd never heard an accent like it before.
