Randy was a professional musician at 12 years old. He was pretty much a virtuoso. He put on concerts that sold out theaters of over 10,000 people who were all mesmerized by his ability.
Just kidding.
Randy wasn't that great. He had only been playing for four years or so, and he was currently eleven. His saxophone wasn't even full sized and the reed he was playing on was as soft as a toothpick. His dad--the wizard in the family--told him he couldn't bring muggle items like his saxophone to Hogwarts, but Randy was determined to make his dream a reality so he brought it with him, and no one had told him he couldn't. Not yet at least.
So this particularly fine morning, Randy decided it was high time to get to practicing. Not wanting to wake up his whole common room, he took his saxophone and a method book down to the lawns, where he found a nice tree to stand under. Once he was situated, he started playing the instrument, producing some sort of sound that wasn't exactly terrible, but was definitely not London symphony material.

There was nothing particular about the morning except for the fact that Jaeha had woken up earlier than he usually would. He wasn't exactly sure as to why it was, but, after spending a few minutes tossing and turning which resulted him being thrown out of the room by his roommates for making too much noise, he wandered off a bit. First stop was generally, the kitchen and he managed to nick some food away. It was too early and the breakfast would not be served for at least another hour and he was too hungry to wait. He was about to settle to eat on the staircases when he heard Peeves somewhere nearby screeching on top of his lung. Considering the fact that the Librarian would not appreciate him bringing the food into the library, Jaeha grudgingly stalked out of the castle. He allowed his feet lead the way. He didn't get far before he plopped down in the middle of the lawn, sitting on the grass before opening the food stock.
Just as he was about to take the first bite. Jaeha was startled. An odd noise, it sounded as if someone was being strangled or animal was being tortured. His head turned and started to look for the source of the noise when his gaze rest on a boy and some odd looking instrument. "Could you keep it down?" He called out, trying to get the boy's attention. He might not be a musical genius, but he knew enough that whatever sound that was produced, that was not music.

Randy was getting really into practicing his scales. In his opinion, he was getting really good! He had already memorized two, and this morning he was working on his third. Before long he would have all twelve major scales under his fingers and someone would surely hire him to play gigs. Just as he was about to begin another iteration of the scale, he heard someone shout out to him to shut up. Wasn't this why he came down to the lawns in the first place?! He wasn't meaning to bother anyone, but he was surely there first and it had to be the other person's position to find another place to get some peace.
He turned around, and saw a boy sitting quite a ways away. He couldn't make out the facial features of the boy but was sure he didn't recognize him. Instead of heeding the boy's request to stop playing, he simply played louder, now in the direction of the boy.

Headache. Headache. Jaeha was getting annoyed. It was bad enough that he couldn't sleep and then he was kicked out of his own dorm and now this. No, he wasn't one who would lose his temper easily, but, it was just getting a bit much and it was a little too early for a concerto. "Are you deaf or something?" He called out again. He didn't mean to taunt and he probably had said it harsher than he planned to. But, who could blame him? He was just enjoying some peace and quiet early in the morning as well as contemplating on sleeping on the hard ground before he was disturbed. "Ah... You probably are..." He added, it sounded cynical. He was up to his feet, edging closer to the boy before adding; "Since you can't even hear how horrible you sound," It was probably not his finest day or anything and he was not particularly rude. But... Yes, but he was going a wee bit crazy with the horrible music drumming into his ears.

Randy was having fun annoying the boy. It wasn't his fault that this guy decided to interrupt him while he was practicing. It's not like he went around in search of people to bother. He watched the boy stand, and he didn't make any effort to tone down his playing, even though he couldn't hear a word the boy was saying. Randy decided to ignore him, and turned around towards the tree and kept on playing. It wasn't like anyone would actually have the nerve to force him to stop playing. He was convinced that everyone at Hogwarts was pretty nice.

The boy was probably a narcissist, yes, he got to be. Which idiot would actually thought that he was good when he was anything but? Jaeha sighed deeply, trying to control his anger that was building up. He was not accustomed to throw punches even when he could. It would be quite uncivilized not to mentioned it could get him into a whole load of trouble. He could just imagine the howler his mother would send if he decided to start something. The thought alone was terrifying. "Honestly, did anyone ever told you that you should pick another hobby?" He asked, clearly annoyed. "Because, in all honesty, you suck," He added. Alright, it wasn't the best choice of words of all the words he could choose. But, he figured he would have to tone down the usage of big words in case the boy couldn't understand because clearly - he was an idiot.

Yeah, alright, even at eleven years old Randy was pretty full of himself. He was never particularly spoiled as a child, but his parents were pretty lax and let him do whatever his muggle friends wanted to do. He was bigheaded and no one had ever stood up to him before. He was pretty much displaying this as he was being blatantly rude to the boy, who was now practically begging him to stop. His quieted his playing just enough to hear the boy tell him that he sucked. He laughed to himself, rolled his eyes, and turned around. "Honestly, did anyone ever tell you it's rude to interrupt people when they're busy? No one ever asked for your opinion. I certainly didn't so why don't you just run off? Go find a life," he said snarkily, waving his hand as if to shoo the boy off. Actually, Randy was kind of curious about the boy. He looked to be about his own age, and so far he had shown persistence, which was mildly admirable. But could he stand up for himself?

Rude? Him? Jaeha's blood was boiling. Howler... Howler... He reminded himself as he tried not to throw the first punch. There is nothing in the world is as scary as his own mother when she was at it. Not even a banshee scream could match his mother's - he was right to fear her. "Don't you know it's rude to subject anyone to a cruel and unusual punishment of what you call 'music'?" He retorted easily. There was no other way to explain the kind of sound that was produced by the boy. It was cruel, drowning someone in such sound that he was inclined to want to start throwing punches. "As for a life, mine was perfectly well and peaceful until that dreaded sound broke it," He added spitefully. Maybe, he knew it was probably in vain, he hoped anyway that the boy could at least hear the horrid sound and vow to never play again. There are things someone shouldn't do and that is doing something they are terrible at and think they're good at it.

Randy rolled his eyes again. Clearly this kid knew absolutely nothing about instruments or music in general. Maybe the wizarding world lacked music like this. What a shame. That thought just reinforced his feeling that he belonged in the muggle world, but he was determined about a great many things, and being a wizard and learning magic proficiently were two of them, and so he would see this whole wizarding business to the end. After all, if he dropped out of school his father would most likely disown him, and he needed to be financially supported somehow. "You have to be the stupidest person within a hundred miles of here. You have to start somewhere, you idiot, and I don't give a damn if I sound like your mother on the toilet, I'm going to sound amazing in no time." He turned around and was about to start playing again, but then thought of something else to add. "That's why they call it practicing, stupid. And I didn't invite you here. You have the whole castle to get some peace and quiet." Randy was now getting pretty annoyed. He didn't take crap from anyone very well and was quick to defend himself, even when he was wrong.

Of course Jaeha knew his music, from classical to modern contemporary or whatever genre there was. He didn't live in a cave. Plus, he lived in a house where any type of music was welcomed. From his father who would drown himself in Bach and whatever other dead musician out there to his sister that would blast the most annoying pop music known to man. Yes, Jaeha knew his music well enough to know whatever the boy was playing was nothing close to music. In fact, it was probably the sound of which can be used as a torture device. "Keep telling yourself that," Jaeha replied indifferently. He should have been offended with the mother comment, but, he knew that allowing himself to be offended by such petty comment would just make him pathetic.
"And no, what you did was not practicing," Jaeha added, smirking. There was another word that could describe the boy; delusional. "Because, practicing means you would get better over time," He continued, mocking. "But you, I'm just going to save you from the trouble here," He added, shaking his head. "You're not," He stated. "In fact, if it was even possible, you got worse wit every single minute passed," Jaeha taunted. "As for any place in the castle," He paused with a smirk on his face. "Who are you to invite me anywhere?" He asked, scoffing. "You don't actually own the lawn now, do you?"

"You know nothing about music, you annoying twit. You don't even know what this is called," Randy said, motioning to his saxophone, his voice rising. He took a step towards the boy. "Who are you to even go around telling anybody anything? You look like you're eight years old, you shouldn't even be here. If you're such a smartass thinking you know anything about what I'm doing then why don't you go off and compose an étude about it."
Randy's temper was rising at a considerable rate. It was awful to be insulted by an idiot who very clearly had no musical knowledge. He hoped maybe a nice punch to the face would rewire the kid's brain and save him from a life without music. This kid was a tiny wimp anyways, Randy really felt like he was wasting his time bantering with him. He walked up to the boy, standing about a yard away. "Now go run off before I make you."

Twit? Jaeha was slightly offended. Mainly because he thought that the boy would at least be a bit more creative with his vocabulary - but, twit? "It's a saxophone," Jaeha replied indifferently. It wasn't as if it was a question about how to perform an unforgivable spells. "My father has one of those," He added boringly. At least his father could play better than the boy before him. Though, using it as a wake up call had been quite annoying. It was probably why Jaeha never liked the instrument much. "And I'm eleven," He replied, now a bit more offended. He looked old enough to be eleven and was sure the boy must have been blind.
"As for composing something, I at least know I'm rubbish at it to even subject people to the pain of listening to my horrendous playing which was what you've done," He retorted. Wind instruments were never his thing, but, he did play a bit of Piano. Though, he would never admit the fact that he had to attend the classes when he was younger - ever. "And how do you plan to make me go away?" He taunted in reply. So, what if he doesn't look eleven? He can still hold his own.
