Vancha left the ministry and immediately took to the rooftops. He had to find an elegant restaurant for his night with Cassandra. Rather then actually go into restaurants and check them out, he began stalking people who looked wealthy. He saw a lot of, seemingly, wealthy people driving expensive cars. But not actually going anywhere to eat. Some stopped at fast food joints like McDougals and Burger Queen, but no one seemed to be going into fancy places. Vancha kept his eye on the sun, and was realising that he was getting closer and closer to 8pm and he still hadn't found a place. Vancha stopped on a rooftop and sat down for a quick break. He was getting bored of following people. He'd been doing it for nearly 6 hours.
Suddenly, a bright light erupted from beneath him. He rolled quickly to avoid being spotted. He crept to the front of the rooftop and looked down at the people below. They were all dressed up and showing up in fancy cars. Vancha climbed down the back of the building and walked round to the front and looked in through the window. IT WAS SO CLASSY! This was it! This was the place. Vancha stepped back to read the buildings name. "The Reets?" He said allowed, reading the name. A gentleman behind him scoffed. "Silly Scots. It's pronounced 'The Ritz!'" And he walked off laughing with his friends. Vancha ignored him, but noted the pronunciation. He walked in and enquired on availability. He was told that it was only for people with rooms that night. So he booked a room. He checked the time. "Seven thirty...I have time.." He said to himself. He asked the maitre d to send a suit up to his room and ran up to the room to shower. Once clean, he redressed himself and exited the hotel.
Vancha scaled the building quickly and made his way swiftly to the Ministry telephone box. He arrived at just about 8pm. She wasn't there yet, but she was a woman. She was probably doing her make up or talking to other women in the toilets. Vancha climbed down the building and stood by the telephone box, adjusting he new suit whilst he had the time.

Cassandra was dead on her feet by the end of the day. In the relative privacy of her office, she had let her hair down, kicked her shoes off, and slipped the cute little suit jacket off to the wayside while she filed papers and did all of the minor things that had accumulated this week, and it always amazed her how quickly things piled up. They needed more office staff on this floor, it seemed like they were always spread too thin, no matter how many people were hired on a regular basis. Time had passed all too quickly though, and before she knew it, she had found herself alone in her area, except for the cleaning staff, and a few odd people like MLE, or other areas that stopped in on their way home for one reason or another. Her tea had long grown cold by her elbow, and she sighed. Rubbing her eyes, she wondered at being so busy and so tired that she could forget to drink something right next to her. Catching sight of the clock, she winced. She didn't have much time, she was supposed to meet Vancha, and she wanted to primp a bit first.
A few minor adjustments with her wand found her heels just a little higher, her hem an inch higher as well, her jacket more fitted, and the run in her thigh high stockings repaired. A touch up with a comb and a fresh coat of lipgloss, and she was out the door. She wasn't sure what he had in mind, but she was certain whatever it was, it wouldn't be cheap. A last look in her mirror reassure her she was fine to step into whatever establishment he had in mind.
It had gotten darker, but the weather was still mild, and it was pleasant to step outside in the fresh air. Spotting Vancha, Cass smiled and stepped toward him lightly, greeting him with a more than friendly kiss on the cheek, before slipping her arm into his.
"So tell me, what's the plan for tonight?"

Vancha grinned when Cass came out of the telephone box. She looked more beautiful now then she did while they were downstairs...if that were possible. Vancha reciprocated the kiss and let her take his arm. He rested his other hand on hers and began walking towards the street. "Well. I've booked a table for us for dinner. The restaurant isn't overly far from Piccadilly Circus, so we could go to the theatre or see a film after if you wanted..." He said in reply to her question.
As they reached the street Vancha held his hand out for a taxi...which didn't stop. He continued to try flagging taxis down to no avail. Vancha sighed, raised his fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle. One of the taxi's slowed and pulled over, Vancha made a beeline to it and opened the door for Cass. "Hey, The Ritz Hotel please..." He said to the driver as he entered the cab behind Cass.

"That's nice. I haven't been out very much lately, work and all, you know" Cass said, as they waited for their cab.
He held the door open for her like the gentleman he was, and she slid in gracefully, and cozied up to him once he climbed in and pulled the door shut. The Ritz? That sounded lovely. She hadn't been to many muggle eateries but the name seemed familiar to her. A little too late to think about it, Cass wondered if he even ate, if he could eat. She didn't really know how to phrase the question, so she fished a little.
"Tell me, do you go out to dinner often? Do you have a favorite nightspot?"

Vancha wrapped his arm around Cass as the taxi drove to their destination. He listened to Cass' question and thought about his answer. "No... Not really. I rarely go out to eat. I'm rather a good chef, if i do say myself, so I've never really had the need to go out..." He said smiling. Vancha looked out the window and watched the town go by. "What about yourself? Do you go to many..." Vancha stopped. He couldn't really say muggle in a taxi. "... less enchanted establishments?" He finished.
The arrived at the Ritz, Vancha opened the door and slid out and held the door open for Cass. As she exited he closed the door behind her and opened the passenger side door. "Here..." Vancha said to the taxi driver, handing him £20. "Keep the change..." He said looking at the price and suddenly realising that was an overly generous tip for such a short journey. The taxi drivers eyes lit up and he almost snatched the money away from Vancha before he had a chance to change his mind. The driver nodded in appreciation and sped off as Vancha closed the door.
"Here we are..." Vancha said, looking towards the Hotel/Restaurant. "What to you think?" He said offering his hand to her.

"You cook? I'm jealous. By the time I usually get home from work I'm barely able to manage anything fancier than a fry up before I start nodding off" she said, and added a whisper in his ear, "I find men who cook, incredibly sexy"
In a more normal tone of voice, she continued, "I don't really go out much, especially lately, we've been so swamped. Even lunches I've been spending over the desk, with an order of curry, or a sandwich delivered while I go over the afternoon's schedule. It's been so hectic lately...but if this is the end result, I'd say it was a fair trade," she winked at him, then slid back out of the cab and through the door he held open for her. She had noted the cabbie's expression of astonishment, and kept it in mind. It said a lot for a man that he would tip hired people generously and not make an issue of it.
She slipped her hand into his as the reached their destination. It seemed muggles did manage to do a few things with style, she noted with appreciation.
"Mr. Ayris, I'm impressed" she answered with genuine pleasure.

Vancha grinned. Obviously his afternoon of running around had paid off. He lead her up tbe stairs and waited in the queue with the muggles. He waited patiently as the queue moved forward and finally they reached the concierge. "Good evening sir. I've reserved a table for 2. Under the name Ayris." Vancha said to the man, smiling. The man looked down his list and going Vancha's reservation. He collected 2 menus and lead them to their table.
Vancha pulled out a chair for Cass and seated her, then seated himself. He offered a menu to Cass before opening his own. He scanned down the list, deliberately not reading the prices. He picked out his food annd placed his menu down. "So, tell me about yourself Ms. Selwyn."[\b] Vancha said with his charming smile creeping through.

Cassandra placed her napkin on her lap, and ran her finger along her water glass, tracing a bead of water that created a trail on the sweaty surface. She wondered what he would like to know. When people said "tell me about yourself" she was always unsure of how much to tell them. Usually it was a polite request used to fill awkward spaces in the conversation, so that the other person wouldn't have to do all the work. He didn't seem like he was only being polite, he seemed like he wanted to hear whatever she had to say, so she took a breath and tried to decide how much to tell.
"Well...I'm halfblood...both of my parents were halfbloods for a couple of generations back. No siblings, or even cousins. Mum and dad are fairly normal people, they live in Canada now, and have some kind of preschool age type program for the small wizarding community there, to get children off on the right foot... They raised me in North London most of my life, was a Ravenclaw back at school, and graduated with good marks...I started working in the Ministry as a secretary at first, but moved up rather quickly when some of the higher ups saw my potential. I volunteered to relocate to human resources when it became obvious we were understaffed and someone needed to run some quality control. You wouldn't believe some of the people allowed into the place before I went in", she asserted, thinking of Candi, and trying to throw that little wenches mental picture to the back of her mind, as if she were some kind of dirty, used, tissue that need to be binned.
"Which pretty much leads to...this", she smiled and gestured at them both, knowing her summary was a little brief, but she didn't think he wanted her to ramble on about specifics.
"Your turn, you must tell me everything about you...Where you came from, where you live now...who you go home to..."
