'The Ministry of Magic' Vancha said as the floo fire enveloped him. He panicked, he'd never been through the floo network before and was absolutely terrified. There was fire everywhere, it reminded him of the Trail of Fire at Vampire Mountain. That was scary enough as it was. Vancha barrel rolled out of the fireplace colliding into a Ministry Member, but paid no heed as he began slapping at his clothes and hair to douse the flames... that weren't there. Ohhhhh he felt like a dumbass.
Vancha bent down and helped the gentleman up that he'd knocked down. "Sorry man. First time Floo rider. Bit scary..." He said with a shaky smile as he checked the man over to make sure he wasn't injured. Finally, he took in his surroundings. He had made it to the ministry! The floo network has worked. Vancha bolted to the exit and left by the telephone box. He quickly scaled a building and looked out across the city.
"Right. Sera is either here or in Diagon Alley.... and hopefully the girls are here as well...." He mumbled as he climbed. "If i were 2 teens with almost 100 galleons... what would i do first. Bec isn't really the girliest of girls... she'd go for a fight or..." Vancha scanned across and saw the cinemas in Piccadilly Circus. "...a movie.." He finished, standing. He braced himself and flitted across the rooftops towards the cinemas. If Sera was as good as she seemed, she's either catch up with him or would already be hovering around the girls.

With a instantaneous crack Serafina suddenly reappeared right outside of the magical entrance to the Leaky Cauldron. If they'd taken the Floo to London then they had to have come here, it was the only real safe place to get out of a fireplace, they'd have been stupid to try and get out at the Ministry, three underage witches and wizards using magic unsupervised, big no no.
No Sera was certain that they would be here. But they hadn't come out this way, there was no scent of them, nor could she feel either of the girls when she concentrated.
Ok so Serafina had realised that there was indeed ONE benefit of having honed her necromancy skills, she could feel the dead. Worked best in finding an active spirit in old grave to call on (for divination purposes of course) or raise as a zombie (something she'd only experimented with a couple of times, they were certainly freakier than the ghosts). It didn't work so well with vampires, they didn't quite feel the same, but having Angel at home Sera had been practicing, figured it might be useful sometime, and as Bec was her kin it was easy to apply to her. Never seemed to work on an adult vamp though, which was a shame.
Sera pushed open the door to the leaky cauldron and wandered in. The place was empty, windows boarded up....weird....she hadn't realised the place had been closed by order of the Ministry. The door out into the street however was wide open, and she could smell her son. They'd been in here and left in a hurry.
Stepping out into the muggle street, bright with street lights and bustling with people. Sera took a moment to close her eyes, she reached out with the power she'd honed through months of divination practice and sought out the girls. Finding a faint thread of cold energy she picked up on it and followed them.
She melted through the crowd gracefully, getting a few odd looks for the cloak she still had over her head and shoulders, but she was focussed on the brightly lit buildings ahead of her. Cinema? Seemed like a logical place for them to go.

Yep, they had definitely gone to the cinema, and from the looks of the crowd they were already inside and watching the film, the scent and feel of them was still lingering around the outside of the garish, brightly lit building but it was growing fainter.
Serafina wasn't about to go inside, they'd have to buy tickets and while she knew they were there she didn't know what film they might have gone to see....
So that left the question, what to do to pass the time until the film was over. The hunt so far had not proved to be as exciting as she'd thought it might be, she wasn't even sure if Vancha had managed to pick up on their trail yet. She'd been expecting him to follow her, but then soon realised that the man STILL hadn't learned how to apparate. Had he actually braved taking the floo? If that was the case he really could be anywhere.
Perhaps hunting something else might be an interesting way to pass the time, just for fun of course nothing too sinister in the whole thing, she wasn't really looking for a blood donor. Just some practise to keep up with her training, hone her skills a little more, she wasn't one for picking off random and unwilling victims there was just far too many issues and trouble to be had with that and if anything Serafina was keen to avoid trouble as this time of her life. But the actual stalking, nothing wrong in that right?
She scanned the crowd for a while, pondering to herself. What to do? Did anyone look a promising hunt?

Vancha finally made it to Sera, limping across the rooftop. She'd beaten him to the cinemas, but because he'd slipped and fallen. Even Vampire's have their off days. "Hey... Sorry i took so long. One day, you'll have to teach me to apparate. The floo network is TERRIFYING!" He said sitting down to rub his ankle.
Vancha crawled to the edge of the building and looked over at the crowd. "They've only just gone it... they're gonna be a while.." Vancha looked over at Sera. "We can either be patient and wait for them to come out... or... we could hunt to feed?" He said with an evil grin. He wasn't actually going to feed from someone, but it would be fun to tail someone for a while and catch them. At least until the kids came out of the cinema.

Serafina had to chuckle as she heard Vancha's voice from behind her, "Yes, it's not exactly the most pleasant way to travel. Where exactly did you end up? The Ministry? Leaky Cauldron's completely deserted." She said conversationally. That would at least pass some of the time.
He voiced exactly what she had been thinking, the kids had only just gone in to see the film, that meant they were going to be waiting a long time for them to come out again. Too long to simply stand there and do nothing. Sera could be patient but she wasn't that patient.
Though Serafina had to admit that Vancha surprised her with his next question. Though the way he had worded it made her smirk.
"Ah well you see now that raises a new question doesn't it." She said in a dark, sultry tone. "There is hunting to feed in the conventional sense, though the Ministry tends to have its issues with that." She said with a dismissive shrug, "But then there is hunting to feed in the...'other' sense, for want of a better term." She grinned wickedly, wondering if he would pick up on what she was getting at.
Hunting for blood from any random, unwilling and unsuspecting victim was frowned upon and asking for trouble, but there more than just a few people out there more than willing to play the victim, you just had to find them.
Sera didn't intend on doing that tonight, she was more in the mood for stalking something through the shadows, but it was still fun to hint at the other, just to see the reaction she might be able to get.

The silence grew uncomfortable and Serafina knew then that it just wasn't happening. She'd made an effort to be sultry and suggestive, try to make some excitement out of their night and perhaps remember why she used to love this man. But it just wasn't working.
Perhaps she'd already killed things with her aversion to so-called 'romance', or perhaps it really wasn't going to be the same again. Serafina shook her head and took several quick, hasty glances at the crowd that bustled around them. "This isn't going to work," She muttered mostly to herself.
With a shrug and a sigh, Serafina took a few backwards steps away from Vancha, "I suppose either way we'd probably be better off on our own." She said with a shrug, words seeming to be implying more than just the 'hunt' they had suggested.
"Um, good luck with the job hunting I suppose and....I guess I'll see you around sometime..." She would of course, they had the girls to consider but for that moment their evening seemed well and truly over. With one last backwards glance, Serafina slunk off into the busy street and was swallowed by the crowd.

Vancha was stunned. Had that really just happened? Vancha watched as Sera walked away, unable to say a word. He clutched at his chest feeling an immense amount of pain. Even without it beating, Vampire's still feel heart break. He teetered backwards, his legs turning into jelly. He opened his mouth to speak but all that came out was a small crackle.
He reached out his hand to Sera, even though she was on the opposite side of the building. He continued to teeter and began to loose balance. He tried to speak again but all he could manage was "Sera...". After he spoke, the last of his balance disappeared and he fell backwards off of the building. He was so focused on the pain in his heart that his survival instinct didn't even kick in and he slammed into a shop stall and rolled onto the pavement where he laid. Ignoring the group of muggles that began to crowd around him;.

Sera had slunk into the crowd, pulling the hood of her cape back over her head as she weaved easily between the seething mass of people. She was running all of the options of what to do over in her head, going home didn't feel so appealing right now, perhaps she should go hunting....or maybe not, that could turn out bad the mood she was feeling sink over her.
It was as she was considering heading back to Diagon Alley so she could apparate somewhere away from here, anywhere would do, when she stopped suddenly. A grumpy old man walking straight into her and grumbling something in complaint until she fixed him with an icy stare and he hurried away.
She could have sworn she'd heard someone call her name...she listened again for a moment, reaching out her sensitive hearing. But when she heard nothing more she shook it off, must have been imagining it. She started to walk through the crowd once more when she heard a crash, now there was no mistaking the noise that time.
Interested, as most of the crowd also seemed, Serafina wandered to the source of the sound and pushed her way to the front of the mob that had gathered, all pointing and gasping. She wondered what they were all staring at, when she saw him, laying flat on the floor having crashed through a muggle's market stall. Her eyes went wide in shock and concern, for all the issues going on she still cared what happened to him, and for that matter.
"What happened, did anyone see?" She asked loudly to anyone who might be listening.
"Man fell off that building up there, fell right through the stall and landed there, we called an ambulance..
Yeah like that was going to be a big help. Crap, Serafina cursed inwardly, she had to get him to St Mungo's somehow, but with all these gawping muggles hanging around, how in the hell was she supposed to do that?
Only one plan came to mind, but it would be risky and she'd have to wait until the ambulance arrived. Stepping forward she crouched down beside Vancha's still form and muttered, "Don't worry. I'll get you out of here and to the Hospital somehow."

Vancha laid motionless on the floor, his eyes open just staring at the sky. I could feel the presence of the muggles group around him, but he looked straight through them and ignored them for the most part.
'Quick we need to help him...'
'No! Don't touch him, he could be injured...'
'CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!'
The calls and cries of the muggles meant nothing to him, nor did anything else for that matter. Vancha's heart had broken and all he could feel was regret and despair. He'd rather not go to hospital. There was the possibility that they could save him... At the same time they'd run tests and find him to be inhuman and would want to kill and autopsy him. Maybe Hospital was a good idea.
Regardless of how it happened, Vancha knew only one thing. If he couldn't have Sera, he may as well not live anymore. These being possibly his final moments, he chose to think about everything he and Sera had been through together. Meeting in the Room of Requirements, training together, taking her on her first hunt, getting married on the Lawns of Hogwarts, and having Bec. The Little One... he should have wanted to live for her. But he couldn't bring himself to ignore the pain. He'd never been in such agony before, and he'd been set on fire!
He heard Sera's voice, and then she came into view. Her eyes, her lips, just ... her. His own picture of perfection. He stared at her, believing her just to be a figment of his own imagination. Then he heard her speak again, this time to him. He felt her cool skin against his as she whispered to him. He tried to roll over to speak to her, and as he moved slightly he heard an ear piercing crack; which came from his lower back. And almost as soon as the noise was heard, the agonising pain arose and blasted through him. He relaxed slightly to lay back on his back as he screamed out in pain. A yell of pure torture. He didn't know what was wrong or what had cracked. But one small glimmer shone through, the tiniest of silver linings. If he could feel it, at least it wasn't his spine.
He finished crying out and stared at Sera with tears in his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, and in the raspiest voice he could suffer through "I..love...you..." With his final word, Vancha's energy faded. He closed his eyes to join the world of slumber. Not to die, but only to rest.
