Christina was embarrassed she blew it big time Ian must be laughing to himself. She had ran out into the corridor nearest The Hospital Wing and sat down putting her head in her hands. She wasn't crying she wouldn't cry but she felt embarrassed. Why she always have to get screwy when she saw hot boys it was one of her weaknesses. How was she going to out live this one , it would be all over Hogwarts soon. Silly Christina flirting with a first year boy.

Ivy was wandering the corridors between her classes, willing away the time until she had her next lesson she was already loving them a little too much. She rounded a corner when she spotted Christina, she'd not seen her Hufflepuff friend since coming to school, after their shopping trip in Diagon Alley, and wanted to skip over to say hello.
Merrily skipping towards her Ivy waved, "Hi Christina," When she noticed that her friend was looking a little upset, "Oh, are you ok? What's the matter?"

When will I ever learn to think before I say things embarrassing like that she thought to herself. She felt like she was going to start crying her eyes were watery. That was when she noticed her Gryffindor friend Ivy walking towards. Ivy said hi then asked if she was ok.
"I'm always messing up opening my dumb mouth specially when it comes to hot boys." she said frowning. "I really embarrassed myself this time in front of Ian Garrett my head said he said i"m single wanna be my girlfriend and I rushed to say yes I will be your girlfriend when all he really said was I'm Ian" "It was all happened when I was in the Hospital Wing helping him with this nails that kept growing." and she proceeded to tell Ivy all about what happened in the class to make his nails grow and what happened in the Hospital Wing how she had came up with a spell on the spot that fixed it."Yeah I'm an Assistant Nurse to Nurse Garrison." she explained. "I"m so dumb when it comes to guys." "and this time I embarrassed myself in front of the son of Professor Dupree." she explained still looking sad and defeated.

Ivy listened attentively to her friends tale of woe. Though she did think to herself that the phrase 'hot guys' was kind of an oxymoron, Ivy had yet to meet any boy at the school she thought was 'hot'. They were silly and childish and annoying yes...but hot? She wasn't adverse to a crush or two, but those were generally reserved for celebrity wizards, famous quidditch players and the like, guys older, mature and successful that nothing had any possible chance of happening with, that the the right sort of crush for a preteen girl to have.
She didn't know but Ivy was sure something happened to girls when they reached their teenage years that made them see boys closer to their own age in a different light but as of that moment in time she couldn't see why on earth she'd want to actually be someone's girlfriend. Her thoughts on this made it somewhat difficult for her to comment on her friends situation.
"Oh, um I see. Yeah that must have been a bit embarrassing." Especially as the boy turned out to the son of one of their Professors. Christina had recounted the incident from the classroom and Ivy nodded, that must have been a part of the chaos that she was trying very hard to ignore while she was working on her poor attempt at the potion.
"But, you know boys are immature, silly things. Ian's in the same year as me isn't he? He probably didn't think you were serious or anything, I mean he probably still thinks girls have cooties or something stupid like that." Ivy suggested, not sure she was exactly being helpful. "ugh, boys." She shook her head.
"You just need to laugh about it, say you were joking or something. He'll probably buy it as being a 'silly girl joke'. They think those things, honestly." Ivy had two brothers, she knew more about the way boys thought and acted than she cared to. Another reason she wasn't keen on the idea of a boyfriend....not until they were older and learned what showering was all about.

Ivy had listened attentively to her as she explained what happened. Ivy was a good friend to her and it was nice to have friends like that. Ivy agreed that it must of been a bit embarrassing but Christina still disagreed that it been a huge embarrassment. Ivy mentioned how boys can be immature and silly which wasn't how she saw Ian.
"Yes he's a first year like you but how much of him have you seen he seems mature to me so far." Ivy suggested she just needs to laugh about it and he would take it as you were being silly. "But I ran out of the Hospital Wing like it was serious." she explained. "Perhaps your right though who knows." she said feeling a little better still not smiling but not frowning anymore either. "You must think i'm foolish getting all bothered over a boy." she stated. "Though I guess when I was your age I was more active about it." "I had too boyfriends my first year at Hogwarts." she explained finally smiling some.

Ivy couldn't help the cringe that came to her face as Christina mentioned she'd had two boyfriends when she was a first year. "Two..." She said disbelievingly, "But why? I mean ewww, boys are gross." Ivy added with a shudder.
"They get nice sure, when they grow up, they don't mature as quick as us girls do, but before then...yuk." Ivy shook her head, "They're like slimy little grubby monsters that haven't learned where the showers are yet." No Ivy had no intentions of looking for a boyfriend until the boys her own age had actually reached puberty and realised that if they don't wash they will smell!
"I still think though that you should just pretend it was all a joke...and maybe try to find something else to obsess about instead of boys." Ivy suggested helpfully, "That way you won't say embarrassing things when you talk to them, or if you do you won't care so much because who cares if your friends hear you say something embarrassing."
