Darla, after finding the library about a week ago, had visited it everyday. Books about all her subjects were read during her free time, but Darla had also taken a liking of reading about Hogwarts and the secrets of the castle. Reading also helped her understand the wizard world more. Ever since she read about it, Darla was anxious to try gillywater, join Quidditch, and get a pet toad as well. She was happy to have extra knowledge on everything in the wizard world, even if it did mean taking up her free time.
Darla read books all the time anyway. If she wasn't reading in the library about the wizard world, she was reading in her dorm about muggle sciences. Anything that helped her quest on knowing about everything on planet earth.
This trip to the library was more exciting than hoped for. When looking through the shelves, Darla tripped on a book that was left there by some student who was looking to make the librarian work extra hard. Picking it up, Darla looked over the cover of "Hogwarts: A History". If she hadn't already read the book, Darla would have been quite interested in it. She picked the book up with a sigh, looking around and making sure nobody saw her. She had been quite clumsy ever since the first trip to the library, and it was like the library jinxed her every time she entered.
Standing up, Darla brushed herself off too make sure no dirt was on her best sweater and continued towards the section in which the book would be located. Not 100% sure this was were she found it the first time, she scanned through the books, letting her instinct guide her through the winding maze of books.
As she walked, she found a book she had never seen before, a blue one with a red frame around it. The title and author were not mentioned at all, and Darla wondered if it was supposed to be that way, or if it had faded from the age of the book. Turning to the first page, she was surprised to see it blank. The next page was no different. Getting angry at the book, she grabbed half of the pages and turned to the closest page. A picture of a wand was shown, casting spells. Thinking this book was a spell book, Darla shoved "Hogwarts: A History" into the shelves, not paying any attention to it.
Sitting down at a table, Darla flipped to the beginning. It took her at least ten pages before any writing appeared. All it said was
Bad Luck Book
Darla laughed. Bad luck was all she needed. Hearing something, Darla turned her attention away from the book
