Still in pain - what is she to do

She looked at St Mungos and was groaning in pain. Ria didn't know what was going on but she did know if she wasn't in pain she would NOT of rejected Ben. She would not of done anything to hurt Remy but she was confused and she was in serious pain. Her hand was touching the area of where the Appendix was. The potion had not worked that Ben had given her.

Ria was now feeling sick seriously sick her face paled as she walked into the St Mungos. She knew something had happened and she knew her heart was aching from heartbreak because she did Love Remy but she really liked Ben. She wasn't one that aimed to cause pain to men. Normally it was the other way around. She still remembered the kiss Ben did with her but she couldn't keep wondering over it.

She did want to know Ben she would Owl him later over that but right now she was in to much pain to handle it. She let out a light groan as she fought the pain but the pain was taking over. Tears was now falling down her cheeks.

Chris had been working for over fifteen hours and was getting his second wind. He had very few procedures to do, mostly it had been prescribing salves, potions, or removing things that had been hexed on...or re-attaching things that had been hexed off. He was a little tired, but in a pretty good mood. Even seeing the woman in terrible pain, who was next on his list, didn't diminish his spirits.

"Hey, what seems to be the problem today?" he pulled a quill out from behind his ear, and began marking things off on his clipboard.

Ria looked at the healer and let out a groan as she doubled up in pain. She felt her body fall to the ground as she looked up her eyes in pain. "I don't know All I feel is pain." she wheezed. Yes she could barely talk at the moment. She then pointed exactly where the pain was at. Near her appendix.

She tried back to standing up. She never felt this kind of pain and only hoped they had a potion to get rid of this kind of pain. She knows Ben tried to get her the potion just as quickly. She fought from screaming because that would not be a slytherin thing to do. All she did was grunt.

Chris didn't bother trying to decipher what she was saying. It was obvious she had abdominal pain, and needed immediate attention. In most cases it was a case of eating some bad curry, or a spoiled haggis, but this time it looked serious. He waved on a gurney and strapped the woman in, and began to race to one of the treatment rooms.

He barked some orders to the waiting attendant and at first they just stood there shocked. "Move, dammit!" he snapped, and they began scurrying to do his bidding. Normally Healers NEVER operated. Cutting and slicing. That was for the primitive muggle doctors you read about in books. But they were running out of time and waiting on a potion to work was too risky. He'd have to go in.

He held up a flagon of some purple murky liquid to his patient. "Drink all of this, fast. We need you fully unconscious for the procedure"

Ria was fighting the pain as best as she could but it hurt so bad. She never expected it to hurt so bad. She felt herself being put on a gurney and was strapped in. All she could see was the lights and the ceiling passing by her each little push that was going past her. She closed her eyes while her body ached her stomach ached so bad.

She heard Chris barking at everyone. She didn't know what was up or down because of the pain. She fought hard against the pain but it was making her more queezy. She looked at the Healer with pain in her eyes she wasn't to scream that was not the slytherin way. Deal with the pain until you passed out. She knew she would have to owl Remy and Ben when she was better.

Ria heard him say to drink the purple murky liquid. Taking the liquid while she grunted in pain and took the med. As she took the liquid all down she felt drowsy and then her eyes closed then knocked out unaware of what will happen next.

Chris took a deep breath and reached for a sharp implement on the cart to his left. It resembled a scalpel, but longer and much, much sharper. Delicately he made the first incision, and an attending assistant began wiping the few drops of blood from around the cut, and applied charms to hold the cut open while he began to explore.

It was easy to see the problem. Her appendix was clearly swollen and misshapen, and needed to come out, but for one complication. It was blocked by other organs, which was simply not supposed to be. Gritting his teeth, he came to a fast decision, one he never would have made if he had more time.

Carefully he lifted the larger organ out, and laid it on the tray, ignoring the attending assistant's gasp of shock and disapproval. He had cast a charm on it, hoping by some small miracle he would be able to put it back where it belonged. Deftly he pulled out the affected appendix, just in the nick of time, and put it in the bag held out by another assistant, who promptly sealed it and moved it to a charmed container for examination later. Perhaps it would be donated to magical medicine research, perhaps disposed of, but that decision was for later. Before finishing Bennet had to examine the other removed organ and try to replace it carefully, binding it back to the areas he had to splice it from with his instrument. He looked back at the other cart in disbelief.

Fester great friend. He always there in time of need. Friend Bob seem always hungry and never satisfy. Being undead fiendish creature make for hard life, Fester think. Fester not able to imagine what life like if always hungry for one thing can't have. Bob deserve great respect for willpower. Fester always expect Bob go crazy any second and rip face off passerby, but never happen. Fester feel for Bob and promise to help somehow. Being magical creature always have perks. No one ever pay mind to Fester and make doing evil deeds easy. Fester steal clothes and from ailing Goblin in room 415 and change in closet. Clothes little big, but serve purpose. People stupid and think Fester just short man. Surgical mask and cap good for concealing face and ears. Fester ready to rumble. Fester push door open of surgery room and mosey in like belong. Strange looks make Fester slightly nervous so pic up pace. Right on cart lay fat juicy organ ripe for picking. Fester apparate onto cart and grab hold of organ. Slippery at first, but get hang of it. Before anyone know what happen Fester gone.

Bennett was at a loss. Nothing like this had ever happened before.

Quickly he went over the procedure in his head. Things had gone well, smoothly, no complications. His assistant looked at him, as confused as he was. Turning around, he tried to ask -- where was the other one? The short one?

"Aren't you a little short for an intern?"], he joked at the little guy who came in all prepped and ready to assist.
"Mmmm...Could be" was the only reply given in a croaky little voice.

"Get security! Find that short intern, immediately!" he yelled at a resident hovering by the door, completely useless.

"Hurry, we have to get this patient closed back up and into recovery," he ordered to the remaining assistant, who looked relieved to see him take charge again. It was a matter of seconds to close the woman back up, using his wand. Now that the procedure was over, he felt free to make use of his magic again, but he was disturbed. Certainly the other organ needed to come out, it was obviously inflamed and had some kind of problem, but he had hoped to examine it closer.

More importantly, how was he going to tell Miss Silversmith when she awoke, that her uterus was removed?

Not knowing about what all had happened Ria was in la la land wanting children in her life later one. She didn't want to be the only one to not have children. She wanted her kids before losing the chance of doing so. Her dreams was about children.

She didn't know someone had lost her uterus and her chance of having children wasn't going to come from her body. There had to be a way of growing a Uterus back later on. Hopefully there was. Ria was waking up after the surgery and yawned. She wasn't hurting anymore and looked down at her stomach. Something was wrong.

Ria let out a screech "What happened here?" she asked her eyes wide with shock. She was cleaned up she was in a gown. But she didn't recall being in a room. "WHERE IS REMY? I NEED REMY." she let out a screech. She loved him she needed him with her. She didn't know if he would see her.

Bennet was in shock. He had never had a person wake up from treatment screaming before. He wondered if the woman was normally prone to hysterics, even without having disaster fall on her. He couldn't even imagine what her reaction to the bad news would be on top of this.

"Ms. Silversmith, I'm Healer Bennet, I wish we could be meeting under better circumstances" he yelled over the din.

"I'm afraid you were suffering from complications, not only was your appendix removed, but your other organs were negatively affected as well. We had to remove your womb also, though you won't be billed for that portion of the procedure," he hedged. He hoped she didn't ask for details.

"You can come back in a couple of weeks for a follow up, or sooner if you are suffering from fever, of any other abdominal pain," he continued, trying to sound brisk and business like to ward off the forthcoming tears and insanity he could see continuing. Had he heard correctly? Had she been yelling 'Remy'? No, couldn't be. Though...Remy did seem very high strung, this was probably the explanation...

"You'll be billed by owl, the admitting nurse got your information, if there's nothing else, I'll be on my way to see the other patients," he looked at her expectantly, as if prodding her to say, 'Find doctor I'll see you in two weeks'

"Under better circumstances? WHAT has happened tell me now!!" she said her eyes turned cold as she looked at him with a hidden anger if he hurt her he would feel her wrath. "Healer Bennet? Complications? What was negatively affected? MY WOMB? I want children. THERE has to be a potion to take to regrow a womb. IF there is one to regrow bones then there has to be one to regrow a womb." she demanded. "I have galleons I can pay to regrow my womb. Give me a potion that will heal me AND CALL REMY. I NEED HIM." she let out a scream on that one because Remy was someone she loved.

"OH believe me I will come back for a follow up but I want my womb back you are facing a slytherin man and I don't take kindly losing my womb when I want children." she said with her voice hissing. She wasn't very happy.

"Yes the nurse got my information but I want that potion NOW. I want my womb back so I can have children. So if you don't want me to sue you I would suggest you do something NOW." she said her voice was cold and strong. "There has to be a potion to regrow organs because I know of one that regrow's bones." she said angrily "OR I can find a spell that will get my womb back in me. Don't think I won't try to figure it." she said then stood up but was very weak.

Bennet felt like a marked man. There was a small uncharitable part of him that said if he had only let her die on the table he could blame it on her late arrival and he wouldn't be going through this.

"Ms. Silversmith, please calm down." He began folding a paper in a complicated airplane fashion, to send off a call for security, hopefully without it being too obvious.

"You've ingested quite a bit of different potions in a short period of time. I can't tell you what kind of potions are available for you at this time, simply because we've never had this kind of situation before. You'll have to give us time to research and look into treatment options, and you'll be able to make more informed decisions during your follow up."

He spoke slowly, to buy time, and loudly to ensure that the approaching footsteps knew which room to come to. Without fail, security had arrived, his saviors. Two beefy men, armed with wands at the ready, were standing in the doorway. Between them, Bennet looked like a toothpick, but he was never one to be concerned with vanity, especially now.

"I'm going to leave you some instructions, but basically you are not to attempt any strenuous activity for the next forty eight hours, no apparating, no operating heavy machinery or doing complicated charms. The outpatient window is on the first floor, the first corridor on the right, just inside of the entrance."

The entire time he had been talking, he had been slowly inching to the door. As soon as the last word was out of his mouth, he had stepped outside and out of the doorways view. Then he took a deep breath and ran like a hellhound was on his heels. Poor Remy. Bennet felt for the man. He felt sure they both deserved a drink after what happened today.

"Calm down after taking out my womb I think not. I will figure how to get my womb back if it is that last thing I do." she said angrily yes her temper was one of her slytherin attributes. She watched raising her eyebrow after watching him fold an airplane.

"I have ingested different potions? Let's see I only ingested two potions that I recall. A dark murky one. OH MY MERLIN I kissed Ben no the other way around. Ben kissed me." she realized something just then. Ben for a second she hadn't thought about him but then she relized something she had rejected him but only because she was under pain. She was in to much shock she needed to send him an owl. Let him know what she wanted him to know when he talked to her.

"Is this the best you could do Mr Bennet? You will be hearing from my Lawyer and believe me it won't be pretty. FIGURE out what happened to my Uterus or face my lawyer. I will have children some way or other." she said with a frown.

"I won't lift or do anything strenious. Thank you for your hospitality and losing something most important to me." she glared at the healer. "Get out of my way you impentent fools." she said to the other men. Walking to the first floor. When she checked on the outpatient she said calmly but cooly "You will be hearing from my Lawyer. And if you don't find my uterus in less then 48 hours I will see personally your lives will be put through heck." she said then left the Hospital.
