Serafina made her way briskly along the corridors and down the numerous stairs from the library, checking every so often to make sure that the Ravenclaw girl was still following along beside her as they neared Serafina's far more familiar home of the schools dungeons.
They headed downwards into the cool and forever damp corridors where although there were lamps lit along every wall the light was always dim and seemed to struggle to overcome the perpetual gloom of the place. To most it would probably seem dismal and unpleasant but Serafina loved it, she felt more at home in the schools dungeons than anywhere else in the entire place, except maybe the forest but that always depended on the weather.
Leading the way through the winding corridors, knowing just where she was heading for the abandoned dungeon room that had once been a potions classroom. It would be quieter in there but it was near enough to the store cupboards that she'd be able to gather any ingredients she'd need to make the girl her potion.
Glancing to the side of her Serafina grinned at the Ravenclaw girl and said brightly, "So any thoughts about what sort of potion you'd like to try out, or are you brave enough to just let me pick?"

Chiaki as following the Slytherin girl and she was wondering if she had made the right choice in wanting to follow her. On one hand, she was curious to see her make a potion but curiosity killed the cat so maybe she made the wrong decision after all. But since they were already making their way to the dungeon, it would be impolite to abandon the Slytherin girl and walk off so she just followed behind.
For some reason or other, Chiaki couldn't remember the way to the dungeon, though she took potions class in the dungeon. She was beginning to feel a little cold, perhaps it was of fear. She never felt cold when she came for potions class. You couldn't expect much from a Ravenclaw, they weren't known to be brave. That was Gryffindor's quality. It seemed a long time for Chiaki and a long walk. This was the only time she hated to walk. She never hated walking a long walk but it was different now. Maybe if she was following someone not a Slytherin, she would feel more comfortable. But that was all maybes.
They came around the corridor and into a section Chiaki never came before. She looked around curiously and her fear vanished. She was rather fascinated by the surroundings and wondered where this would lead to. Maybe she could come here to explore some time, without a Slytherin, of course. There were so many things in the dungeon she never seen before.
The Slytherin entered a room and Chiaki followed. Again, this was a room she never seen before. She wondered what this room was used for. "What's this room used for?" It was then that she heard her ask a question. "Oh. Right. Well, you choose a potion. Do I get to drink it later?" That question was rather strange, who would ask someone evil to make a potion and later drink it? It was mighty risky but the question was already asked so there wasn't any use regretting.

Serafina perched herself up on the edge of one of the desks and cast her eyes around the dingy room, cringing at the state of the ceiling that had always been plastered in frog brains. "Oh well I think it must have been the potions classroom at one point, or used for making potions in at least." She said gesturing up towards the ceiling so that the Ravenclaw girl could see the mess up there. "Looks like someone wasn't all that good at them though."
Serafina smirked and hopped gracefully off of the desk, "So I can choose then, hmmm let me see." She said airily beginning to pace the room, she had just the potion in mind that she'd like to experiment with but she thought she should make a show of thinking about it, toying with the small vial of hypnosis potion she still had remaining from their potions class in her pocket. That was what she would like to try, tinker with the method they had used in the class and see if she couldn't make it just a bit stronger but then Serafina also met with a potential problem, didn't that girl take potions too?
She had to wonder if the Ravenclaw would figure out just what she was making having had to make it herself at one point, or did she not pay that much attention in potions class? It was a risk she would take, besides if the girl did know what it was at least she could be sure that Serafina wasn't trying to poison her or something.
"Wait can you what, drink it later?" Serafina repeated the girls question, "D'you think that would be a good idea, testing it when nobody is around in case it something goes wrong or it has some strange affect on you?" She asked arching her eyebrows and approaching the girl. "I mean I know you don't trust me but I would at least be able to tell if it's working right or if you needed help of any kind. I of course have full confidence in my own skills but then BIG question is do you?"

((hehe, you're smart, my charrie missed that lesson))
Chiaki looked up towards the ceiling but she could see no sign why it should be a potions classroom, even if it had such a huge mess. It could be used for other purposes and they just didn't clean up and then abandoned it, that's all. But since the Slytherin said it was a potions classroom, she didn't argue it though she very much wanted to. Who knows what will happen if she really did argue?
As the Slytherin began pacing round the room, Chiaki crossed her fingers and hoped that she wasn't able to think of a potion to make. Not that she was freaking out, it was just some kind of natural feeling. Then her feeling changed and she was getting rather curious to know what she was going to make. Will her potion be nice to drink? What kind of potion is she going to make? Is she going to poison me?Hundreds of thoughts appeared and she had no answer to any of the questions. The only thing to do was...wait. How she hated that word.
Chiaki narrowed her eyes as the Slytherin repeated her question. Was it so strange to want to drink a potion? But apparently, the Slytherin thought differently. "Well if I died then at least I had a chance to satisfy my curiosity." Chiaki said rather solemnly. "I'm not sure if I have confidence in your skills, and that's why I want to see you make a potion. Then I can judge on my own. And the best thing to judge is to drink it, isn't it?"

((did she, oh I didn't realise that, how well these things work out... )) Serafina shrugged, the girl did have a point. "I suppose, although I would like to see for myself if it works or not." She said and then, allowing her lips to creep into a grin, added. "Because well if you did die and I didn't know then I could just keep on using the potion and killing people which in all honesty wouldn't do me all that much good. Or, Merlin forbid, use it on myself believeing it to be safe." She stood up and headed to one corner of the room where there was an abandoned stack of old cauldrons, one of them would have to be in fairly decent order she really didn't want to have to go and grab her own. Rooting through the pile and finding one that looked reasonably serviceable Serafina set it up on one of the desks and fixed the Ravenclaw with a firm stare. "You're definately sure about this? Because I'm not going through all the trouble of starting just to have you chicken out half way through."

Chiaki threw a disgusted look at the Slytherin. She never knew she could be so evil. And she was getting rather frustrated and impatient that the Slytherin had to reconfirm so many times. If she was going to chicken out, she would have left ages ago. "How many times are you going to ask that? " She demanded. "I'm not going to chicken out, that's a promise."

Serafina smirked at the look the Ravenclaw girl threw at her but nodded in response to the girls answer. "Just making sure I'm not wasting my time is all." She said airily with a shrug of her shoulders.
She stepped out from behind the desk where she had set up her cauldron and walked passed the Ravenclaw, "I'll go and get the ingredients then." She said pausing breifly to look the girl in the eye and smile before stepping out of the room and hurrying to the store cupboard.

"I assure you, you're not wasting your time!!!" Chiaki yelled at the Slytherin. "But it looks like you're wasting mine." She added with a grin. She was rather taken aback when the girl smiled. Up till now, she had never seen her smile, only smirk and grin and all the evil ones. Ah, at last she was making a move, going to the store cupboard. Now she just had to watch.

Serafina arched her eyebrows in suprise as the girl shouted at her, that was a reaction she'd not expected considering the way the girl had been acting for some much of the time they'd been around each other. Her grin broadened at the girls sudden display of some metal and so Serafina said as she headed back into the room with her arms full of ingredients. "Well I'll be sure to not waste anymore then."
Laying the ingredients out on the desk top Serafina began working on the potion, lighting a flame below the cauldron with a jab of her wand and filling it with some liquid. The method was fairly simple and didn't take all that long to concoct however Serafina had planned to make one alteration to the original method to see if it would make the effects last longer, one additional ingredient Cobra eyes.
Working silently and only every once in a while glancing up at the Ravenclaw girl Serafina neared the end of the potion, adding the snake eyes at right at the end and stirring until a vibrant blue flash erupted from the cauldron lighting the room brightly for a brief second and then it was gone as quickly as it had appeared.
Serafina grinned, a wicked spark flashing in her dark blue eyes, "All finished." She said.

Chiaki watched carefully as the Slytherin brewed the potion. It was rather fascinating and when she saw the snake's eyes, she wondered what it will do. When the girl said she was done, Chiaki got rather excited. She couldn't help but keep wondering what's the potion's effect. "Can I drink it then? Now?"

Serafina smiled at the girls eagerness, obviously nothing about the way in which she had brewed the potion had put the girl off which was good. Extinguishing the fire below the cauldron Serafina began to decant it's contents into a number of crystal vials, one vial one dose of potion taking too much of it would probably lead to something, well, bad.
"In a moment, you might want to let it cool first or you'll burn your insides." She said lining up the vials carefully on the desk in front of her. She then scoured the cauldron clean with a flick of her wand and tossed it back into the pile in the corner.

Chiaki caught the Slytherin smiling again and wondered what was up with her. "If I'm going to die drinking this potion, it doesn't matter if I burn my insides, does it?" She said rather carelessly.

Serafina sighed and rolled her eyes at the Ravenclaw girl as she spoke. "You're not going to die from drinking my potion. Do you really think I'm foolish enough to try and poision you? I have more sense than that." She said shaking her head and rounding the desk so that she could perch on the front of it once again.
"Don't get me wrong I could if I wanted to," She said with a smirk, "But being tried for murder is hardly something I find appealing."

((bleh, I don't half get what you're saying and it's a bother to look up the dictionary.))
"Well maybe you are foolish enough, I never know, do I? I must consider all the possibilities." Chiaki was still in a rather dreamy mood and what she said didn't really make sense. "So can I drink it now?"

((Bah, sorry. Basically she wouldn't try to poison her because she wouldn't want to go to prison. But she also said that she could if she wanted to))
Serafina shrugged, "I suppose I'd be careful too seeing how much you don't trust me!" she said jumping back down off of the desk again and picking up one of the now cooled vials of potion.
"Here," She handed one vial to the Ravenclaw girl, "Go ahead and try it." Turning back to the desk she placed corks into all of the other vials and stored them away in her bag.
