"Ohhh cool" she giggled, not really sure what to say. ^__^ "Two years is a long time" she nodded. The only thing she kept for two years was Sugarlumps. She figured a girlfriend was like that too. Isabell giggled at what he mentioned about the mistletoe when the music suddenly changed to more upbeat. She watched as Jay danced all strangely and giggled. He was funny. She started wiggling her hips and dancing to the beat. Yayy fun! ;D

"It was a long time but..." Jay continued to do his funky dance. He watched her wiggling her hips. He could tell they were enjoying this and having a fun time. He tried to tell her everything about him. He wanted her to trust him and get to know him. He wanted to show her he wasn't a bad guy. He was just strange. He turned around and shook his butt at her to the dancing. He laughed while doing it.

She gasped! OH NO HE DIDN't. "She shook her booty at him and stuck out her tongue at him. Take THAT! ^__^ she giggled at how silly it seemed. Tonight was really fun. But she hadn't spotted any candycanes yet... which is weird because christmas time usually there were loads of them and stuff even though they didn't taste all that good... They were cute though.. and festive. ;D

Jay looked back and wrinkled his nose with a funny grin on his face when she shook her butt and stuck out her tongue. He laughed and fell on the floor. He couldn't stop laughing. He thought Isabell was smart, funny, cute, and just all around fun to be with. He pulled her down to the floor laughing. "You are one amazing girl." He said honestly.

Cassidy walked up the steps to the rooftop lounge, feeling a bit of irony. Yes, it was the Yule Ball, but they were also mourning ABBA. Of course, he wasn't announced dead yet officially, but many people had their doubts. As Cassidy climbed up she couldn't help but feel neutral about this. His body wasn't anywhere to be found. It could've been burned in the fire, or he would've gotten away; in cognito. With the times she couldn't blame him, he a primary target for any death eaters wanting to take the school. Look what they did to Arri... Cassidy sighed as she reached the top, the rooftop Lounge. So much uncertainty and mystery was upon everyone. As she walked in she spotted a few people she recognized, Arri, and a shrine to Abba. She hadn't really known the Faltskogs all that well, but she did have one fond memory. A few years back she visited the Faltskogs as a bright eyed bushy tailed easter bunny, delivering eggs and warm cookies. Arri probably wouldn't remember that, but the memory was clear in Cassidy's mind as if it were yesterday. She spotted the table with the paper and pens and markers for notes and letters to give to Abba, and Cassidy decided to take the time to write one. Cassidy smiled lightly for a moment to herself before walking over to the little monument. Not necessarily wanting that to go public, Cassidy gently slipped it into the little box placed next to the table. She hadn't really though about the note too much either, and just quickly scribbled her thoughts onto it too. Cassidy had a feeling Abba was still alive somewhere, although it was unlikely. Finished with her business to Abba, she turned around and walked over to Jay. "Hey Chipmunk." she said with a giggle. Her dress made a swooshy noise as she squeezed him into a hug, getting all ruffled. "How're you? Who's this very nice lady over here?" she asked politely, smiling over at the girl. Jay was such a ladies man. xD

Jay saw Cass and hugged her. "This is my g... uhhh... this is Isabell. Isn't she pretty?" He asked Cass. Everytime that Cass saw him, he was with a different girl. So she thought he was a player probably. She even looked pretty in a dress. He thought it was funny when she called him Chipmunk but he knew he looked like one. "Isabell is just like you Cass. She is sweet and very funny."

Cassidy grinned as Jay introduced her to his date, puppy love was so adorable. "Well it's nice to meet you Isabell, I'm Cassidy; one of Jay's friends." she said, nodding politely with a smile. She glanced over at Jay, grinning as he said she was as sweet and funny as his lady. Awww. xD "You're so sweet." she said with a giggle ruffling his hair. Ahhh, little Yule Ball romances. "So are you two enjoying the Yule Ball so far?" she asked.

Post by Carma Rousseau on Aug 18, 2008 22:54:22 GMT -5
Once things had seemed to be coming along smoothly and Arri was off dancing with Malcolm, Carma pulled herself away from the wall and walked out into the light of the Ball, approaching Abba's memorial. When she was standing so close to his image he seemed to be bearing down on her, almost staring a hole into her head. Carma just gazed up at it peacefully however, admiring the gentle curl of his hair and those beautiful blue eyes... god, those eyes. She smiled sadly to herself, remembering how bright they could be in the glow of a campfire. Thankfully her little girl had inherited those striking eyes, but it wouldn't be the same. Touching Abba's portrait quietly, Carma got a green marker from the table and wrote... It didn't take her long to pen her thoughts. Carma knew exactly how she felt about him. She'd had over ten years to figure them out afterall. It did make her sad to express them in this manner though... Perhaps the thing she regretted the most was that Abba had never gotten the chance to meet his daughter, nor for Giselle to know the funny, compassionate father that he had been. Unfortunately, no matter how overused the phrase was, you win some and you lose some. Hopefully these were difficult times that would result in the most profit for Carma and her tiny family. Capping the marker, Carma set it down on the table and looked at what she'd written. She felt... numb, almost. Carma looked up at the portrait, waiting for some tears to come. She was essentially saying goodbye to Abba, the man she'd once wanted to marry. And yet she didn't feel even a single tear? More than anything, Carma felt nervous. But not sad. Not here. Frowning to herself, Carma turned and impulsively wiped her eye, as if she expected to find a dab of moisture there. None. Well... looking around her, Carma sighed with an air of finality and clasped her hands together, bouncing briefly onto the balls of her feet. Well, this was a Ball/Memorial, and she'd finished the Memorial part... time to find a date.

Autumn had been waiting for this moment for an extremely long time. The Yule Ball! Last year's Yule Ball had been kind of boring for her, because she really didn't know anybody. But this time was different! The girl actually knew people, and had some friends! And that wasn't the only difference. This year, the Yule Ball wasn't being held on a boat like last term. It was being held on the Rooftop Lounge! How exciting was that? Now people wouldn't get sea sick! Hooray! But then again, not everything would be fun and games that night. Sadly, Abba Faltskog, the school's Director of Activities, was still missing. Presumed dead, to some people. What did Autumn think of this whole situation? Well, she really didn't know what to think, or who to believe. It seemed like everybody was telling a different tale these days. The Gryffindor arrived at the Yule Ball that night wearing a lovely black dress with an obnoxious pair of black heels. Yes, they were a bit much. But the girl's mother had sent it to her with a very strict letter, which basically said to wear them or else. And that she would have people watching. Feeling excited yet scared, Autumn slowly walked into the Yule Ball, looking around at the decorations. They were all well and good, but there were few people there. That was a pretty good sign, because that meant that the girl hadn't missed the biggest dance of the year. Right?? Either way, Autumn would surely find that out in a moment or so. Continuing to make her way into the room, the girl made sure to keep her pace, because she never was good with heels. Autumn would always find a way to fall and hurt herself in the darned things, and now was definitely not the time to be flying all over the place! Things were starting to pick up, but Autumn couldn't help but notice a bulletin board with dozens of pieces of parchment on it. Still walking rather slow, the Gryffindor raised an eyebrow as she made her way to said board. What could it be about? Well, the question was really who. Taking a peek at some of the short letters, the girl put two and two together, and figured out that it was for Abba. Now, Autumn never really knew the guy, but he seemed really cool. A chill guy that partially ran the school. Taking a pen and a piece of parchment, the Gryffindor began to write a short note to her Director of Activities. Dear Abba,
I'm Autumn, in case you didn't know. This seems like an awkward time to introduce myself, I know, but it just doesn't feel right to say 'goodbye' to someone I've never properly met. I really don't know if you're gone, but I hope you aren't. You're an extremely important part to this school, Abba. You're able to gain control and have fun while doing that, and we won't be able to get another Director of Activities that will be able to do that. But it's like that song by The Beatles. There will be an answer. Let it be. No matter where you are, whether it be with us or in Heaven, I hope you nothing but the best.
With love, Autumn.Looking down at the piece of parchment, Autumn noticed how little she had written on it. But in her defense, the girl really didn't know that poor man. It felt sort of awkward to put 'with love', but she wanted to seem like she actually cared. Which she did. What had been happening around the school was affecting everyone. The professors, students, staff, graduates, and anyone else who had anything to do with Hogwarts. Autumn pinned her note to the bulletin board, letting a sigh escape from her lips. She turned away from the board and slowly made her way out into the crowd, and decided to cheer up. This was a party, and by the Abba the girl hardly knew, he probably would have wanted them to continue on and have fun, whether he was here or not. Autumn looked around, and noticed a few friends of hers there already. But they were too far away, and the girl didn't want to walk that far in the painful heels she was wearing. Darn her mother for threatening her like that... So there stood the girl, all by her lonesome, in the middle of a party waiting to get started. Would her boyfriend show up? What about Jared? Sadly, Isis wouldn't. She was on a trip back to her home to see her uncle, so the younger Gryffindor would miss Christmas, too! Autumn looked around the room once again, hoping to find someone to talk to. And then she found Jay! But he was too far away, too... Maybe he would notice her and come to talk!

Post by Taryn Connor on Aug 19, 2008 0:25:56 GMT -5
Taryn was sort of half and half when it came to her feelings over the Yule Ball this year. She was excited because what girl doesn't like to get all pretty and go to a party right? She was so excited about that part. But then again, it was also a memorial for Abba. She had never met Abba personally but she knew all of the things that he did for the school and she appreciated it a lot. She hoped that he would come back soon.
She walked into the rooftop lounge in a peach colored cocktail dress. It looked absolutely beautiful as always. She sighed and looked around. She saw a couple people, Isabell, Jay and Carma, that she knew but the others were strangers to her...for now. She then glanced over at Abba's memorial. She saw that there was a place to write notes to him. She thought that even if they didn't know eachother, she could always leave him something.
Abba,
So I've never met you but of course I know who you are. I mean, who wouldn't know of the great Abba? I just wanted to say that everyone appreciates everything that you do for this school. We really do. And I know that I can speak for everyone else along with myself. Even though you aren't here, wherever you are I hope that you know that we all love you. A lot. Haha. Anyways, I hope that you haven't left us yet but if you have, good luck.
Love always, Taryn
Taryn sighed as she pushed the little piece of paper into the box along with the others. She tugged at her dress a bit and walked around, admiring all of the decorations and such before going over to where the punch was located. As she poured herself a glass, she reminisced in her head of all the times at past Yule Balls when Abba had brought in his famous spiked punch. Ahhh yes good times. She didn't want to act like an idiot all night so she put the thoughts of Abba out of her mind and focused her attention on the ball, while sipping her un-tainted punch.

Melody made her way up to the roof. She had never been up there before and she was quite curious. It was sure to look grand for Melody wasn't going up there for the sake of going up there. It was time for the Yule Ball. She was nervous and quite self-conscious about it. She had never been to a dance before and she didn't even know how to dance. She didn't think you could count silly dancing when you were a child. The school had been bustling with giggling girls and nervous guys and people seemed to be pairing off. Melody was secretly glad no one had tried to ask her to the ball. Boys were still gross in her opinion. She smoothed her dress and patted her hair self-consciously before she came out onto the rooftop. Melody was wearing one of her sister's old dresses. It was a pretty blue dress that looked like this. She didn't mind at all that it was a hand-me-down. It fit her almost perfectly her mother just had to use a nifty spell to shorten it and it was all good. Melody's favorite color was blue and it looked good against her sun-kissed skin. Melody had debated about doing anything with her hair but in the end she figured she would give it a whirl. She had a knack for such things. It took her a few tries before she got it the way she wanted but now her brown hair was done in this up-do style. She had put blue flowers in to much the color of her dress. She was very pleased with the overall affect. She had never gotten this dolled up before. For anything. So she was extremely nervous when she made her way over to the rooftop lounge. The lounge was beautifully decorated with a hint of sadness in it as well. Melody watched couples wend their ways through the floor. They looked so graceful. So pretty. She doubted she would ever achieve such a fete. Her eyes fell on the shrine for Abba. She walked over to it some curiosity blooming. She had heard that the Yule Ball this year would be combined with a memorial for a person called Abba. Melody had never met Abba he had went missing before her first term at Hogwarts. But given the many messages she was now reading to him it was clear to her that he was much beloved. Melody felt her heart fill with pity and sadness. She wished she could write something but she didn't know the man but she felt as if Hogwarts lost someone great. Feeling awkward just hovering around the mourners Melody left and went and poured herself some punch. She looked rather alone and she was busy searching the crowd to find someone to talk to...

Post by Jenny Bay on Aug 19, 2008 4:11:20 GMT -5
Jenny walked to where the yule ball was being held. She wore a long red dress and had her hair tied up in a halo sort of plait thing, and the rest was hanging down her back and a red ribbon was in her hair too. She walked up and realized that quite a few people had already arrived. She sighed, why was she always late for things like this??? Brushing a few strands of hair out of her face, she looked around. She found Jay, and walked shyly up to him. She still felt bad about not accepting him as her boyfriend. "Hi," she said softly. Arri then started speaking and Jenny nodded her head slightly in agreement. It was different without Abba, and Jenny still wondered if he really was dead... Times are dangerous, she thought to herself. She listened to the rest of what Arri had to say, and was going to write a note to Abba and put it in the box but couldn't think of anything to write so she gave up and stuck with: Dear Abba, I haven't met you formally but I've heard about you. On a few brief occasions I have seen you, and it is sad to think that you are not with us still.... I hope you understand that we all love you, From Jenny Jenny then realized how lame it was and put it in the box and walked back to Jay, where she stood awkwardly.

"Oh I have just been hanging around the cookies,"Sierra said cheerfully."Oh do you know what happened to the cookies? They were here but next thing you know they are all gone." Sierra had wanted another cookie badly and she would do anything to find some more. Mostly because the cookies had been the best thing here so far. Evan shrugged, "someone must have finished them off...". she didn't really want a cookie, but she wanted something to do with her hands, so she poured herself some punch and took a sip. It was kinda bitter..."Are you having fun so far Sierra?" she smiled looking at her.

Post by Professor Torza Ansari on Aug 19, 2008 8:46:09 GMT -5
((I go to a concert for one night people and you give me 5 pages! I apologise if I ignored some people's posts))
Torza looked over at Arri concerned, she didn't remember her. It was strange but then again she had heard the rumors that she'd been hurt. Torza could feel an over-whelming urge to hug her but knew better. If she did then Arri wouldn't thank her, she couldn't even remember her name...or her children? Biting her lip she smiled as best as she could and said "I'm Torza Ansari, I work at the school. I teach the children Transfiguration" she said with a small nod of her head.
Then of course their were some people who said hello to her but as she'd only bothered reading two of the later posts she just waved and smiled her hello to Jessica and Nicole. Pulling her brunette hair behind her ear she looked at Arri once more hoping the pity didn't show before walking off into the hall. There were more people now and she knew it would living up but it was still different. It seemed without Abba in the castle the whole school seemed to die a little bit.
Then Malcolm returned with a drink of punch and she thanked him again with another smile. She just couldn't talk, the words wouldn't form. Jessica then put her arms around all three of them, barely able to breath Torza patted her friend on the back hoping it gave some comfort.

Post by Josie Kent on Aug 19, 2008 8:58:28 GMT -5
She entered from the side looking just to get some fresh air, she had been feeling sick or something and she had not a clue as to why. Her mission was to find a spot to take a nap. The rooftop lounge, yeah lounge that's just what she would need a place to lay a weary head. Josie first saw a throne, something large and blue with gold on it. What was a throne doing up here she thought. Josie was more tired than she thought, the next thing startled her it was a memorial, of Abba. Josie's heart sunk, her parents had wanted to her leave months ago after what happened at the Headmasters funneral. and now this.. once her parents got wind of this they would not be happy. Josie walked over she was really sad. She looked at the notes, it looked like Abba was the superwizard or something, everyone loved him. Well she didn't really know him all that well she had seen him only as a sub in class or two. Feeling like something was unjust Josie wrote her own note as well. ABBA,
This is just wrong, your supposed to be here. So many here love you. You have been a great teacher the times you covered for classes and all. I just hope your ok, hurry back.
a faithful Griffindor- Josie Kent
With a sigh she walked over to the snack table, the punch looked really good but the cookies were gone! how rude! Josie got down on her hands and knees and started to look under the tables, where did they hide the goodies. How can they party without cookies. Her tiredness forgotten she was on a new misson, one that had chocolatechips.
