Hearing that there was some sort of party/memorial thing Lily decided it would be a nice way to mingle with people. Stalking Malcolm was of course out of the question, I mean that was just stupid completely stupid....AH HE WAS HERE! Almost fainting with excitement Lily smiled at everyone, although no one noticed her walk in. Being invisible could be cool but it did kinda suck...actually being invisible was never fun! Sighing a little Lily decided that she might as well have something to drink or something.
Lily had tried to find a pretty dress to wear to the yule ball and had eventually settled on a rainbow coloured one. Fine she looked like a walking lolly pop but hmm lollies were tasty and at 12 who wanted to be sexy? Not her, she didn't even know the meaning of the word! Giggling lightly she saw some people writing something on the table.
Ah-ha! memorial, with a nod of her head she did her best to look solemn as she made her way over to it. She hadn't know the guy there very well but it seemed like he was special as since he had gone missing everyone had gotten sad. Lily sighed as she looked at the portrait and began to write a message to him,
I'm sorry I never took the chance to know you better. I hope wherever you are that you are happy and well and I'm sure you will return to us one day. Be it in this life or the next. Lots of love Lil Lily
She loved her nickname, most friends gave each other nicknames but she had given it to herself, part of the not having any friends problem. Leaving the letter she walked over to some students who didn't even notice her. Nice people eh? Being an optimist she believed he would return to the castle one day but still what did she know? She was just 12. She didn't know of any of the dangers.

"EEEK" she squeaked as he pulled her down. Ooff that was gonna leave a bruise. "Hiii!" she giggled at the girl that came over. She stumbled up to her feet again and giggled, nodding her head "Yeah! Its a lot of fun.. sort of sad but fun!" she noticed another girl come over and waved cheerfully "Hii!" she was just sorta standing there all 'what do i do now'. (gaspp~! Two people have the same dress. There should be a fight. all RAWRR THATS MY DRESS *attacks* .... ^___^;; or not haha)

Christmas was supposed to be a happy time for everyone but there was something a little ominous about it this year. Having not actually made his mind up about going until he asked Kath to accompany him, he was still a little unsure about the decision to go but he knew he had to make an appearance anyway. There would probably be a lot of people there, staff and students alike, so he knew he should really show his support. Christmas only came once a year anyway so it was time to celebrate and forget everything for at least one night. He had a feeling it would be the same for everyone else but he hated having to act like everything was fine and normal when, really, it was far from it. The Yule Ball wasn't really the time or the place for that though and neither was while he was getting ready for it. Pushing all thoughts of what had been happening out of his mind, he raced through the castle and on towards his room ready to get changed. He had remembered to get everything out that morning just in case he was running late like usual which was definitely lucky for him since he was very late now.
Flinging open the door to his room, he quickly grabbed his suit and began getting changed. It was times like these that he was glad that his stalkers couldn't get into the staff area, they really would have had a field day although they had probably seen enough already during the Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. Oh well, they would live. Once he was all sorted, he threw what he had been wearing beforehand in a pile on the bed, knowing he could sort that out later when he wasn't in such a rush. All ready to go, he made his way out into the corridor and joined the procession of people heading up to the Rooftop Lounge. Judging by how many were in the group, most people were probably there already and weren't running as late as he was. He really needed to improve his time keeping, that was for sure.
Considering he should have arrived earlier but had been held up, Luke desperately hoped Kath wouldn't mind. Better late than never, right? After what had happened to Abba and still no news about whether he was alive or dead, Luke knew that the memorial at the ball was going to be painful for everyone, himself included. He hadn't really had the chance to get to know him properly but he knew he wouldn't forget those couple of times. Ok, so maybe it was only once but you get the picture. As he finally made it into the lounge, he couldn't help but admire all the effort that had been put in to it. The cruise had been something else completely but this came pretty close, he had to admit. Both definitely made a change from the Party and Events Hall anyway. As he finished his sweep of the room, his gaze rested on the memorial Arri had set up. There were a few people around it still but those who had already left their message were enjoying the ball. He spotted Kath out of the corner of his eye looking stunning but knew he should really leave a message before going and finding her.
As the majority of the crowd dispersed, Luke picked up a pen and quickly looked up at the picture for a moment, trying to think of something to write. In the end, he decided on the following.
We didn't know each other that well but that doesn't make this any easier. We need you more than ever now Abba and we all miss you. No matter what has happened, you will always live on inside of us although I hope to see you again some day. Take care of yourself.
Luke
That had been harder than he had expected and he read through some of the other messages. It seemed everyone else felt the same way he did and they were all hoping for Abba's safe return. Leaving his message with the others, he made his way over to Kath who was over at the refreshments table. "You look beautiful tonight Kath," he said, kissing her gently as he reached her. His reservations about attending were gone now that the hardest part was over and he wanted to make the most of the night with Kath and everyone else. It was so rare that they actually managed to get everyone together that the night should be one which was enjoyed.

Cassidy giggled at Isabell's hyperness. "Hehe yeah, we all miss Abba..." she said, sighing quietly. As she glanced around, she spotted a few more people arrive... and gasped. A first year? The same dress? Cassidy scrunched her face up and stared at her for a few moments, inspecting her attire. She couldn't believe the nerve of first years to copy the big kids clothes. Cassidy shook her head and looked away, she thought she looked better anyway. hehe "Oh!" she said suddenly, remembering the goodies she had in her pocket. "Hereee." she said with a smile, as she handed Jay and Isabell her yummy homemade cookies. Instead of the usual chocolate chip they were sugar cookies, hehe. Cassidy liked sugar cookies. <_<

Jay smiled at Cass. "I like Isabell." He got up and kissed Isabell on the cheek. He took Cass's cookie. "I love you cookie's Cass." He waved at Jenny and Autumn. He looked over at Isabell. "Would you like to dance some more?" He asked smiling kissing her cheek again. He waved at Torza. He hoped to date Isabell after the Yule Ball and not just be a one time thing.

Torza waved back, but she didn't greet her. She didn't read her post, LAZY TORZA. Then she saw Autumn, a nice younger Gryffindor, standing alone. Nicole walked over to her. "Hey, Autumn." Okay, so this was a bit awkward because she didn't know her very well. But her only friends there were Lesley and Torza so Autumn could be her friend, right? "You look nice..."

As Kath drank her punch it seemed strange that it tasted like punch and wasn’t tainted by the taste of some kind of milk. Kath only ever drank punch at the Yule Ball and by the time she got to the punch it had already been spiked. Ignoring the strange, but nice taste of normal drink Kath finished her cup and rested it on the side. There were quite a few people here that she recognized and quite a few people that she didn’t. Everyone looked really nice in their formal clothing. It was sometimes hard to recognize some of the people as they looked totally different in their everyday clothing. Kath had been quite unsure about her dress but this was the most formal dress that she owned and she owned quite a few. Kath often wore dresses that had patterns on as she preferred the less simple fabric. The dress was starting to grow on her though. She felt a little like she was at a wedding as it looked quite similar to the bridesmaid dress she had worn at her brothers wedding, but she was soon going to forget that once she got into the swing of things here at the ball.
Pouring herself a second small cup of punch Kath noticed Luke walk in the door. He looked quite handsome in his suit even though he would look nice in anything, even a potato sack [as my mother would say lol]. Kath allowed Luke to have his space as he had yet to write his memorial and pay his respects to Abba, he would come and find her once he was ready. Downing the punch that she had just poured herself Kath rested the empty cup down on the table next to her. She wasn’t usually much of a punch drinker but she made an effort at events such as these. She had thought about having something to eat but she wasn’t really hungry so it was pointless for her to eat just yet. The music was melodic and Kath was enjoying herself even though she had only been here for a little while. Kath had another quick look around the room at the other people that were here before she noticed Luke walking towards her.
She smiled at Luke as he approached “Hey” Kath smiled and kissed Luke back. She was glad that Luke had asked her to the ball and she was sure that it was going to be a great night. Kath had been enjoying herself before Luke had came so now she was sure it was going to be even better. “Thank you” She grinned “You look great yourself” Now that Kath could see him close up Luke looked even more handsome that he had when he first arrived at the lounge.

Not really knowing what to say after Evan had said someone had finished the cookies off she simply responded to the next thing she had said. "Well sort of,"she said since she had no more cookies. Looking around she spotted a familiar face,"Hey Melody!"Sierra said smiling. Melody was sort of Sierra's friend since they had been sharing a dorm together also they had been in the same class together. Getting a bit thirsty Sierra grabbed a cup of punch then taking a small sip of it.

Placing the drink on the side Torza realized that this wasn't what she wanted. She didn't want to be here at all, yes she had came to give her respect to ABBA and that but now she had done that what was keeping her here? In fact what was keeping her at the castle when someone she loved was missing. Holding back tears she smiled at all the students a little bit before leaving the ball/ memorial. She knew she could always return later on but right now she didn't feel like being there. Maybe later. Maybe not.
(Just because I'm leaving for bed in a bit and I don't want a repeat of 20pages O.o I'll come back tomorrow maybe)

Jared had heard about Abba, about him going missing, he knew that he had should have been sad, but he thought that why should he feel sad for a guy he had only seen, not even spoken to, and the first time he had ever seen this guy was at a funeral.
Jared woke up on the morning of the memorial and slowly had a shower and made his way to the closet to pick out something special to go to the memorial, he thought he had better go just to show his support. Picking out a suite and tie Jared slowly made his way to the roof top lounge, where the memorial was being helled.
Jared walked up and felt the emotion hit him like a wave, but as he had found out in divinations, if you don't want the emotion just let them be, so they went round him not bothering him, but, he did get a few snags of strong emotions like sadness and all that jazz.
Walking in Jared saw that quite a lot of people had already here and he was like kind of late, walking up to the picture of Abba up on the wall that looked nothing like him when he was at the funeral. Walking up to the picture Jared saw that some people have left notes, so Jared not wanting to be left out left a not also.
you will come back, ether in skin or in ghost form, hogwarts means to much to you
Jared
If you are all wondering how Jared knows this, well when Jared was at the funeral he could feel Abba emotions, he tried not to but back then he couldn't help it, and he could feel a Hugh connection between him and this school.
smiling Jared started to walk around to see if he could catch any of his friends when he saw is little sister, walking up to he he smile " he Lil sis, how are you this fine evening".

So, Casper had briefly disappeared again because the person who played her had school and was lazy. She was back, though, possibly, and had heard about the Yule Ball. No, she had never actually been to a Yule Ball or a dance of any sort, so to her it did sound kind of exciting. Only kind of though, since more than likely she wouldn't know anybody there. Atleast she'd be able to chill at the punch bowl, though, like they did on those muggle movies. Shrugging her shoulders, she looked down as she walked towards where she heard it was supposed to be at, down at her dress. It was just a simple white dress, quite similar to the one in her signature, with the same shawl thing wrapped around her shoulders with the same boots. Even her hair looked like the signature, only she didn't have the hat on since she couldn't find it. Sux 4 Casper.
Once she reached the stairs, she trudged up each step, carefully avoiding tripping over anything. She scrunched up her nose, finally reaching the top and entering the lounge which was then accordingly decorated to fit the ball. For a moment, she stood there, admiring the nice decorations until some kid behind her hissed for her to move. Blowing air out from between her lips, she walked over to the punch bowl, but her eyes were wandering around elsewhere. She did see Shawn and Nick but she didn't really feel like bothering them so, instead, she just poured a half-cup of punch, taking small sips. Then her eyes wandered towards something that people were writing on. A memorial. She infact hadn't gone to the headmaster's funeral but she had heard about what happened; and she assumed it was about ABBA.
Finishing off the rest of her drink, she pulled her shawl tighter around her small body, then making her way over to the memorial to read what was being written on. Many of the messages were simple; I love you's and I miss you's. Tilting her head to one side and then bringing it back up quickly to move her hair away from her face, she sighed. She didn't know ABBA; she had never met him. Writing empty words didn't feel right to her, so instead she just took a red marker and drew a large heart above most of the words in a spot left at the top.
Now that she had done that, she felt better for doing something for one of the most important people at the school, she turned on the heel of her boot and walked back over to the food table and grabbed a handful of pretzels and munching on them quietly. She actually did notice a few people she had seen around; like the bleeding kid and what-not, but she was content where she was, simply swaying to the music and munching. Although, maybe, it'd be even better if she had someone to munch-sway with. Just maybe.

Tallie gently blew a stray hair out of her face hoping in on one foot as she struggled to remove her high heels and toss them up against the wall. She hated the things. She would gladly come barefoot each year if it wasn't a christmas event. In all honesty she wasn't fond of the idea of having frost bite, though she did adore the snowy season. It was always so mystique and beautiful, the whole world changed when blanketed with the magic of winter.
Finally accomplishing the task of ditching her heels she scanned the room and shock got the best of her. She breathed in quickly and sharply at the sight of the memorial. Ever since the incident Tallie had been very hard headed and wouldn't allow herself to think even for a moment that ABBA was dead, he was simply missing in action. In her mind he could appear out of thin air anyday now. The Yule Ball was definitly a ABBA rich event. From his misltoe kisses and punch spiking to all the little things inbetween. She chuckled remembering when she and her friends had deemed themselves ABBA's Angels...those were the good old days.
Tallie approached the memorial with caution and being as stubborn as she was scribbled something that was everything buy a good bye...
The world is full of zaniez and fools, who don't believe in sensible rules, and won't believe what sensible people say, because these daft and dewy eyed dopes, keep dreaming up impossible hopes, impossible thing are happening everyday. <3 Tallie
She smiled setting down the pen and then turning to scan the room spotting Torza and Malcolm but thinking they seemed a bit preoccupied she guided herself over to a face that was only vaguly familiar...that of Alexander Novus. She smiled warmly as she approched with the oh so causal yet ever so repetitive "Hiya" she then feeling the need to introduce herself did so "I'm Tallie Loya, I am the proffesor for Artistic Expressions" she blew yet another stray hair gently out of her face and glanced down momentarily at her flowy white dress. Julia had joked with her about it saying it looked a bit like hippie wear but Tallie liked that factor and had tied in a few random white flowers to her hair to accent it. This year she had behaved herself and wore her hair down as usually she lazily tossed it into a bun. She looked back up at Alex and tilted her head to the side with a curiouse note in her voice "Your Alex Novus, right?"

For the first time in a good while Leroy decided to attend a school function. But if for nothing else Leroy had to be here for Abba and Arri. And if the crowd was lucky Leroy may even throw down one of his famous raps for their enjoyment. With sorrow in his heart Leroy walked up to the throne and shared a few silent words with his friend.
Searching the crowd until he found Arri, Leroy walked over palming her firm ass. "Keep your head up fly girl, e'thang gonna be aight. We get thru dis I promise cuz Leroy got yo back. Daaamn my favorite white chick, you still be lookin' fine as ever! You and bro Leroy gonna rock dis joint in a few, but first let me scope out da place" Leroy said with reassurance to Arri, picked out his afro and walked around the lounge, checking things out and gettin' into the groove.
