It was that time of the year again and like year, around the world, various people were dressed up as various creatures and monsters, even witches and wizards. You know what holiday I am talking about -- Halloween! And for some... odd... reason there was a mysterious sign posted outside of the Forbidden Forest stating "Walk this way --->". What was going on? Various other signs had been posted around the school, and was rather odd, to say the least. "Who had done this?" one would wonder as they see these signs around the school, and now one that was telling you to go into the Forbidden Forest. Were they even allowed to go in there? Wasn't it supposed to be "forbidden"? Hence the name?! Well, it seemed that there were tiny words underneath the bigger words of the sign. "Just do it, this one time." Well the sign said so, so why not? And so, as you follow the path, you will see various types of "haunting" things. One would wonder what could truly haunt students of a Wizarding and Magical school. But who knew, maybe something would? As the students and staff walk through the Forbidden Forest, along the path, they see various sights. And let's just say that many of them were not very pretty. It was Halloween after all. Various death scenes meant to scare and fright were along the paths, various dismembered bodies were placed along the path. Basically almost anything imaginable (please imagine in your posts, get freaked or whatever) was there to see and scare these students and adults of all ages. Would this path ever end?! One would wonder that till finally they enter a clearing within the forest. The clearing was eerily familiar, and it was certainly. The Cemetery. Walking among the tombstones and memorials there is a newly dug grave that you see with coffin within it. It seemed as if someone had dug up the casket and it was open slightly. On the cover of the coffin it stated. "Here sleeps the evilest of Wizards. Open the coffin to see the corpse... if you dare." Upon touching the coffin door the person is shocked by a tingling and suddenly engulfing feeling as they are transported to a mysterious location....... "Where am I going?!" one must wonder.......

Sophia's curiosity always got the better of her. Especially on a night so mysterious and creepy as this one. Man, she'd already had a pretty creepy night earlier in the month at Serafina's divination lesson when she'd had the chance to summon her own father from his grave. Now that, my friends, was interesting. But today was Halloween, and even Sophia, the usual 'I care about looking HAWTT ALL THE TIME' chick was like 'Dood, Imma dress up.' So she was dressed up in a witch costume. TUDAH! Original right, how many Hogwarts students would dress up as a witch?!? Not many that I know of. And you also have to add to the fact that Sophia was pretty sure this was a muggle portrayal of a witch anyway. We don't all wear pointy hats and walk around in a fish-net skirt, kay? Troy Novus might do that, but most of the normal ones of us don't. (Click.)
Sophia couldn't help but follow the signs as the night moved on. She moved in a pack of other students, because she was absolutely scared out of her skin. That was Sophia for you though, she'd be scared of a cat if it crossed her path tonight, which Shawn had definitely done this morning, but he was a calico.. and wasn't that superstition like with black cats? Sophia's mind got the better of her, causing her to jump at some of the sights. Instead of the broom like in the picture, Sophia was holding her own real wand in her hand, so she could shoot sparks at anything that looked like it would be willing to spook her. The forest was twice as spooky as it would be on a normal night.. not that Sophia was ever in the forest or anything .. shh.
It felt like it had been hours of walking through this spooky forest. Of course when you're completely scared out of your wits, things get creepy don't they? Sophia moved swiftly, ending up near the front of the pack. Of course, she didn't like this, so she hid behind some third year kid that she really didn't know at all. He seemed all big boyish and could probably beat some creature up. Of course, Sophia could. .with her seventh year intellect, just pull out her wand and go all crazy on them. That would be funny.
As it seemed they were finally getting closer to the end of the path, they entered a cemetery. Yes, this was spooky. Just as spooky as that divination lesson had been. Dang, Halloween was SO DANG CREEPY! But she endured it, because she had a feeling that there was a reward at the end. Maybe it was just a lollipop, she would be so disappointed, she doesn't even like lollipops. Sophia's mind continued to race as it seemed the coffin dared her. "Excuse me?" She questioned it, walking forward immediately. She wasn't scared of whatever it was that was in there. Hell she lived with the Fat Friar sleeping over her bed all the time, what was there to be scared of?!! Sophia went to lift the coffin door and was immediately lifted by a tingling feeling. She knew that it was a portkey and screamed, not sure where it was taking her. Her scream carried through the forest loudly, and she knew it had to have echoed behind her.

HALLOWEEEEENZ! Sirius did rather enjoy Halloween. Mommy and Daddy got into the holiday quite a lot, even to the point where Daddy would tell such scary stories that Sirius and Remmy and Lily would cry. ... Only Daddy kinda told them scary stories like that all of the time. Daddy liked to scare them. Unfortunately, while he was a babyz, he was only allowed to trick-or-treat around that Wishing Well place ... ONLY NOW HE COULD TRICK-OR-TREAT EVERYWHERE, YAAAAY! And his first stop was the Forbidden Forest. Sure, it was spooky, but the Centaurs probably gave out freakin' terrific candy. Same with unicorns and acromantulas and grizzly bears, oh my! The Hufflepuff was dressssssed to impressss, as were his two bffz, Mark and Old Yeller. Before I go any further, let's make the costumes clear ... The kid in the bright yellow costume was, of course, Sirius, and he was PIKACHU! His parents had passed down a loooove of Pokémon to him, so he figured, eh, why not? Plus, Pikachu was ELECTRIFYING!! Hahahaha, man, he was hilarious ... Anyway. Mark was BATMAN. Sirius didn't know much about the Muggle superhero, but he could fly and whatnot, and Mark liked to eat dead bats, so they basically went together perefectly! Now, the worm ... the most difficult costume to construct ... Old Yeller was a killer Mexican worm. He looked rather bored in the sombrero, but weren't all worms bored? All they did was squirm around and eat dirt all day ... Not a very exciting life, folks. So, the three amigos finally arrived down the Forbidden Forest, ignored the sign that said "WALK THIS WAAAAAY!" (because, yeah, it was singing that one song that says that) and entered through the path, anyway. HE WANTED SOME CANDY, DAMMIT! His conscience, Salina, knew how goooood wizard candy was, because she had tried almost all of it ... Except for those nasty blood pops, and the jelly slugs. Sirius skipped down the path, whistling a cheerful tune that totally didn't fit the setting. Old Yeller had a look on his face much like this: > because he hates his life. Mark was zoooooomin' along in his batmobile ... only Sirius hadn't bothered to purchase this so he was just kinda flying by himself. But a batmobile made this whole thing sound cooler. Sirius was wondering where the heck the dumb Centaurs were when he tripped over something in the middle of the path. MAYBE IT WAS A CENTAUR!!! Excited beyond belief, the Hufflepuff jumped up to turn around and see if the Centaur would give him any "special" candy. Unfortunately, it wasn't a Centaur. It was a DEAD BOOOOOODY!!! Nearly dropping Mark, Sirius shrieked bloody effin' murder and turned in the opposite direction. It was only at this point that he noticed the other bodies littering the ground, the bats darting overhead, and the clinking and clanking of ... well, something spooky, like perhaps his Mommy trying to cook. The ginger kid wasn't even aware of the tears streaming down his face. He was a Hufflepuff, folks. HE WASN'T MEANT TO BE SCARED LIKE THIS! Urination did rather seem in order. "GET AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!" he shouted at an Inferi that was standing at the side of the path, it's face like this: and not even moving. BUT IT WAS ATTACKING HIM, OH YES IT WAS! "PIKACHUUUUUUUUUU!!!!" Sirius screeched dramatically, aiming his electric shocks at the Inferi. ... Unfortunately, this costume wasn't realistic. Darn. So, instead of electrocuting it, the Hufflepuff just sorta kicked in the shins then RAAAAAAN AWAAAAAAAAAAY. Yeah, he was a total BAMF. Finally, the path ended, and it leveled out to a clearing, a cemetary. Sirius was still running for his life, however, and didn't pause to think that perhaps this was SAFETY! Instead, he ran towards the coffin, hopped in, and prayed to god that the creatures didn't find him here. Oddly enough, as soon as he touched the coffin, there was an odd sensation around the back of his navel, and he was pulled awaaaaay from the forest ... OHZZZZ NOEZZZ, THE INFERI WERE GONNA EAT HIM!!!

Malcolm saw some students going into the forbidden forest and he said to himself "i cant let them go alone, they need a Teacher chaperone." Malcolm followed the two hufflepuffs through the forest with alot of death scenes set up along the way. Was he scared? yes. was he letting it show? no. He saw at the end of the path a empty grave with a coffin going 'here lies the coffin of the most evilest wizard, open up to see the corpse' Malcolm wasnt too sure about it but saw the two hufflepuffs touch it so he decided to as well. he felt a hook like sensation pull him into the coffin. Where was he going he had no idea.

o0o0oo0, Halloween was so cool, it was Lily's favorite holiday ever, guys, ever. When she was just a little tater tot her mommy and daddy restricted her trick-or-treating to Wishing Wells, but now she was a big and strong warrior and could trick-or-treat whereeeeeever she wanted and with whoever she wanted. That's right, folks; she didn't have to trick-or-treat with dumb ol' Siri or Remmy anymore ... she was a free kid! Instead of trick-or-treating with those two Hufflepuff-faces, Lily had two classy gentlemen: Mr. Bigglesworth the Bat and Mr. Kite the Flying Squirrel. They all looked pretty darn scary, if Lily did say so herself (and she did). Mr. Bigglesworth. But replace the dog with a bat. Mr. Kiiiiite ... except instead of a dog it was a, you know, flying squirrel. Aaaaand, the best for laaaast ... ME!!! OOOOOOOOOH, SCAaAaAaAaAaARY CHIIIIILI, OOOOOOOOOH! Altogether, they were truly a frightening bunch. But what was the fun of Halloween if didn't scare everybody a little bit? NONE, THAT WAS WHAT! So, in their fantastically horrifying costumes, Lily, Mr. Kite and Mr. Bigglesworth made their scaaary way through Wishing Wells, the Gryffindor dorms, and then Hogwarts grounds, hitting up the Gameskeeper on their way. The only logical thing, it seemed to Lily, was to go to the scaaariest place of all; the Forbidden Forest. Lily had never actually been there before or anything, but it seemed like a pretty spooky place, so why not take a visit? She had Mr. Bigglesworth and Mr. Kite to protect her anyway, if anything did attack her or try to eat her or something. Lily also had her spectacularly terrifying, soul-devouring, eyesight-stealing glare (that looked something like this: ) that could scare off any creature that didn't wish to have it's roll rocked. Fortunately, it seemed that the Headpeople had come to the same exact conclusion Lily had, and had even put direction-thingies up for fearless students like her. How kind! Giving the sign a little bow, Lily patted Mr. Kite and Mr. Bigglesworth (who were perched on both her shoulders) a pat on the head and strolled into the dark, dark forest. Everything seemed pretty normal at first; owls hooted, Centaurs galloped, acromantulas acromantula-ed. Then, suddenly, a loud scream pierced the darkness and both her pets flew away, startled. " ... WHERE ARE YOU GOING, YA 'FRAIDY CATS? WHAT KIND OF AIRPLANE AND GEISHAS AAAAAAAARE YOU?!" Because everybody knew airplanes and geishas weren't afraid of nothin'. Sighing and making a pout-y face, Lily ventured ooooonward to the heart of the forest. Everything continued to go pretty smoothly until Lily happened to look down and see a long smear of icky red stuff all over the forest floor ... KOOL-AID, PERHAPS? LILY LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED KOOL-AID! Making a grin-y face that showed aaaaall her pearly white teeth, the redhead quickly followed the trail, where, hopefully, the Kool-Aid man was waiting for her. Well, Lily was sort of write. There was a man waiting for her, but he certainly wasn't a giant pitcher of Kool-Aid. Instead he was sort of dead, with blood all over him, red eyes, torn clothing, and arms out in front of him, Zombie-style. "ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOMBIE!!!" Lily said rather articulately, scrambling away quickly as the thing ambled towards her. The only problem was that there were about ten other zombies surrounding her, and Lily bumped right smack into a particularly dead-looking one. "ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMBIE!!!" she repeated all terrified-like, before stepping into a gap in the circle of zombies and running the heck away. A flock of bats crowded around her as she ran, and Lily couldn't help but think of the terrific bat-fights Mr. Bigglesworth could be having now ... if he was still freakin' here! Stupid 'fraidy cat. When the bats cleared, Lily stopped and looking around. Very near to her, she could see bright red eyes peering at her, but it didn't look so much like a zombie, more like a werewolf. Oh, joy! Screaming for the bazzilionth time, Lily ran in a random direction and slammed into a rather coffin-shaped object. Oh Merlin nooooo, a vampire was gonna come out and suck her blood now, Lily was too youuung to be turned into a vampire, what would her mommy and daddy say? Would they still love her if she was a vampire? Lily was too busy with these troubling thoughts to pay attention to the tingling sensation rushing through her, carrying her up, up and awaaaaay ...

Anna had gotten dressed up in her Halloween costume tonight fully expecting to just go trick-or-treating around Hogsmeade, however as she was crossing the grounds in pursuit of the village, she spotted lots and lots of signs telling her to go elsewhere. Where, you might ask? Why, the forbidden forest of course! Anna obliged and followed the signs, hesitating for a minute as she finally reached the forest with another sign urging her to go in. She saw another group of people not far ahead of her, so she hurried up a bit to catch up so it'd be less scary, or at least if she got attacked there might be someone to help her. Might being the key word. Oh yea, her costume. Anna was sporting a pirate costume ( arr) that she'd been putting together all month, and it was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. She had a hat and an eye patch, of course, and one brown knee-length socks on in lieu of a peg leg. Her favorite part of the costume was Herman, her frog parrot. She'd covered him in feathers and put a construction paper beak on him; he sat obediently on her shoulder, croaking instead of squawking, but who would know the difference. Her plastic sword was her second favorite part, she'd been whacking intimate objects with it since she'd put the costume on. Anyways, into the forest she went. Plenty of screaming ensued, the poor kid was probably scarred for life. She pulled her hat over her eyes in order to shield them from the scariness, but it didn't hide everything so she was still scared out of her pirate boots. She beat some things with her sword which just turned out to be trees, and she probably almost suffocated Herman with her incessant hugging. Needless to say, she was wishing she hadn't listened to those darn signs. The Ravenclaw part of her brain was telling her that none of this could possibly be real, or at least not real enough to hurt her. She was at school, after all. That didn't exactly stop her from being scared, but it did keep her going. Hearing someone shout about zombies, Anna squeaked and sped up. "SMASH THEIR HEADS IN, AHH!" she shouted, for that was what all the movies taught her to do. She must have run passed the zombies though, because next thing she knew she was in a clearing and everyone else had disappeared. She spotted a coffin on the other side of the clearing and edged closer to it slowly, plastic sword wielded in case something popped out. After reading the note that accompanied the coffin, she took a deep breath and placed a hand on it in order to pull the cover open. However, she didn't get a chance to open it as she was pulled away from the spot as soon as she laid a finger on it.

Devin like others had seen the signs posted around Hogwarts. It was hard not to see one when she opened the door for Charms only for a sign to fall from out of no where and smack her in the face. Then it continued to dance around her head and poke her with the corner of it. Certainly something she didn't quite want to witness. But secretly it amused her. All day for Halloween she wore a 70s girl get up. And lucky for her she had enough spare time to try and follow to where the signs were to point her. Her curiosity had been killing her all day.
Leaving Hogwarts she slowly made her way to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. She bit her lip as she entered the forest slowly following down the darkened path. It grew more darker and more scary as she went. When a skelli popped out she screamed moving to the side before putting a hand over her chest panting lightly. Devin had a small feeling that this would be happening to her much more. Her knees were shaking by this point as she walked farther into the forest before spotting the death scene of one Christian Zeller.
It was the fateful night that he was murdered by the crazy ghost hunter. She squeaked jumping almost out of her boots. Making her way down the path she was quite often spooked as she went down the path. When she finally got to the end of the line she was half relieved to see the cemetery. It was a little bit more comforting than what she had managed to live through for the past ten minutes. Upon entering it she noticed the many ghosts floating around and was nervous to see if they were going to have some type of party here. She shivered a bit biting her lip folding her arms over her chest.
There was no noise apart from the small howls and moans of the ghosts, so perhaps there hadn't been a party here. That relieved her a bit more as she walked farther in peering her head around before she spotted a freshly dug grave. Gulping lightly she glanced over the inscription before tilting her head and setting her hand on it before instantly she was sucked into a tunnel like feeling pulled from the ground to an unknown place...

Autumn LOVED Halloween. She loved it so much that she dressed up every year and went Trick or Treating, and even though she had recently turned fifteen, this was no good reason for her to stop now! A mystery, however, was a good reason for her to stop now. Autumn LOVED mysteries, too! Did you know?! Once she noticed the signs around Hogwarts, the rest was history. The toga girl dropped her candy bag right then and there, and conjured a magnifying glass. The Gryffindor followed the signs carefully, keeping her magnifying glass raised near her eye. She was so focused that it was about six minutes until she noticed that the signs led her to the Forbidden Forest! Autumn glanced around at her dark surroundings, using her free hand to pull out her wand once more. "Lumos!" She whispered, and smiled defiantly as the tip of her wand lit with a dim but useful light. Autumn used her wand to investigate the scene, and raised her eyebrow as she noticed a pile of dismembered body parts near her tree house. What had they done to her hideout?! Wearing a stern detective-like facial expression, Autumn was determined to not let anything scare her. This was a crime scene, after all, and it was her job to find the one guilty! If anybody happened to touch the evidence, it could accidentally frame somebody who was completely innocent! Nobody wanted that. Except, you know, for the guilty person. The Gryffindor was sure that they would absolutely love that, but she wasn't going to let that happen! She was just that good, yo. Who knew it was possible to smear THIS much blood around the Forbidden Forest? Surely the centaurs would have smelled it and attacked, or something. They were right there when Autumn did an obstacle course for DADA and nearly got her head cut off. >=| Oh yeah, she still held a grudge. But there was even a sign written in blood. Whoever was behind this was surely barbaric. So far, Autumn had no suspects. She wasn't sure who else could cause so much trouble other than Jared Stone and Aggie Faltskog, but she doubted that they would actually KILL someone. Or hundreds of people, for that matter. The first time the magnifying glass was taken away from her eye was when she noticed that she was entering a cemetary. WHOA, NELLY. The Gryffindor glanced around for a moment or two, but her eyes nearly popped out of her head when she noticed people surrounding a tombstone. "NO, DON'T TOUCH THE EVI..."

Post by Kath Blackthorn on Jun 12, 2009 19:17:08 GMT -5
Ah Halloween was here again. Kath had always liked Halloween she’d always been intrigued by the extremes that some people went to when getting ready for Halloween. All that hard work and preparation always worked out for the best though and Halloween always ended up being full of fun and surprises. At home her parents had always been too busy with their animal sanctuary to worry about Halloween they left that to their seven kids. Since being a member of Hogwarts though Kath had certainly celebrated the holidays more than she would have at home which was certainly a good thing. Still a child at heart Kath loved getting dressed up and socializing with others at the school.
Kath’s Halloween costumes had never really been up to par. She’d always wanted to try a scary costume but she tended to stick with simple and somewhat easy. Maybe one year she’d actually take the time and prepare a costume that she felt was worthy of Halloween. This year Kath had decided to dress up as Minnie Mouse. She’d had the costume for quite sometime but had never really gotten round to using it. Her wardrobe was stocked with her day to day clothes but there were also quite a few costumes hanging in there. Seeing them as she shifted through her clothes often left a smile on her face.
Slipping the ears hairband onto her head Kath fixed her hair before leaving the house. The animals had briefly seemed a bit confusing but the ears upon Kath’s head but soon forgot all about it and continued with what they were doing. Grabbing her keys off the side Kath locked the door and began walking up to the castle. Luckily the October night wasn’t too cold which Kath was thankful for considering the dress she wore. Following the signs Kath wasn’t quite sure where they were leading until she caught sight of the Forbidden Forest. She really should have guessed that they would be led to such a place but the element of surprise had been quite refreshing.
Reading the sign that directed them into the forest Kath proceeded slowly hoping that something wasn’t going to pop out at her on the way. She could deal with gory sights and monsters but something jumping out at her would be sure to shock. It was quite obvious that such a thing was going to happen but still the element of surprise was enough to shoot her adrenalin into overdrive. Wandering through the forest some branches cracked beneath her heals as Kath observed each scary set up that had been left for them. Kath had never really been fazed by gore she actually found it quite hilarious. Some thought it sick but Kath saw it as an interesting sense of humour. Still walking along Kath was surprised that the sights of monsters and gore had finished or at least that was what she had thought. A few seconds later a skeleton shot down from one of the tree's in front of her tied up by its neck like it had been hung.
Jumping back a couple of feet Kath rested a hand firmly on her heart trying not to allow herself to scream. Letting out a slow breath Kath began to chuckle. She found it funny that something like a skeleton had scared her rather than something of a scarier nature. As she carried on walking Kath arrived at a coffin. Reading the sign next to it Kath lent forward and touched the coffin just like the sign had asked. A second or two later Kath was being transported off somewhere the coffin had obviously been some kind of portkey. As she traveled along Kath wondered where she was going. They weren’t going to give away the punch line that easily, she’d just have to wait until she landed.

So there Zac looking around the grounds for her dressed in a suite. Normally Zac would just wear his normal cloths but because Autumn gave him the idea he took it. He looked up to see a sign. He followed these signs and looked about until he couldn't see anymore damn signs, he copied Autumn and put a wee light up. He then noticed a few other signs and followed them. Soon he found Autumn and put the light out and the wand back into his suite pocket. "Hello."

It was halloween and Maricela was ready to party. She wasn't a huge fan of halloween, she didn't like dressing up like someone else, she liked being herself just fine. But she figured she would just take one of her dresses and add a wig. And she already had the perfect costume for Mozzarella. SHAAAABANG MOZZARELLA THE ELEPHANT!! MARIDONNA [thats Maricela and Madonna] So she was awalking around when she came upon a sign. Now ussually Maricela would not listen to what signs tell her to do, but this one seemed sorta insistent, so why not right? Well she knew why not, but she wasn't thinking about that at the time. So she followed the signs deep into the forest. As she continued she became more and more frightened as she came across scary scene after scary scene. Thank god she had Mozzarella, he would protect her if something came to kill her or something. The wind was blowing through the trees making a strang scary sound. Like WHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOO WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! She clutched to her darling Mozzarella. "Mozzy, I love you, if we die, you are going first." The dog whimpered in her arms, but what could she do, her parents would be devastated if she died. She had this intense desire to turn back, but it was just as scary as going forward. Suddenly she came to a prison. "Oh Shiizzz!!" She hugged Mozzarella sooo tight that the little dog squealed. "Oh Sorry." Then all of the sudden and light shone on her from the high gate. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I DIDN'T DOOOO ITTT!!!!" Then there were some Zombie prisoners and guards heading toward her. They wanted her to join their rugged prisoner gang. "PLEAAASEE I AM ONLY TWELVE!!!! I AM NOT RUGGED!!!! I AM CLASSY!!!!" She ran as fast as she could, not really sure where she was going. But they kept on chasing her. OH GAWD. They seemed to be multiplying, and she sorta sucked at running. Suddenly she came to a cemetary. AND THERE WERE MORE ZOMBIES!!!!! She ranas far as she could but she was cornered. She stood infront of a coffin waiting for death. But a funny thang happened, she must have brushed agianst the coffin because now she was moving. To where, she didn't know. But there was no way it could be worse then where she was.

Post by Taryn Connor on Jun 12, 2009 22:18:01 GMT -5
Scary. So pretty much, Halloween scared the crap out of her. Taryn was not one of those people who loved to be scared by things or even watch scary movies. She had gotten word of this Halloween swaray that would be going on and even though she was scared to death, she had to go. She had gotten together a costume that she quite liked actually. She was "Tina the Target," which was someone that was just target practice from anything from knives to arrows. As she approached the forest, she saw the sign and eeriness just flowed from the forest entrance. Taryn shuddered but walked in. As she made her way along the path it wasn't so bad so far. There were some cobwebs and spiders and such but she could handle that. Then, just as she was thinking this, a dead body fell out of the bushes right in front of her and she let out an extremely loud scream but then covered her mouth hastily with her hand. After she calmed down a bit from that scare, she moved farther along the path. It seemed that things were getting scarier and scarier as she walked farther into the woods. Anything from dead body parts and creepy noises surrounded as she made her way through the death and destruction. Finally, after what seemed like eternity, she made it to the clearing. Another chill washed over her as she saw the cemetery. She wasn't good around cemeteries. Ever since she saw the Michael Jackson, Thriller video (yeah, you know what I mean), she just hated them. She notice the coffin in the middle of it and walked over slowly, reading the inscription on the top. She really didn't want to even touch the thing but she felt like that was what she was here for so she reached out a shaky hand and touched it. It only lasted a millisecond because after she felt the smooth wood on her hands, she was gone...

Post by Lara Desser on Jun 13, 2009 3:45:25 GMT -5
So it was Halloween. To Lara, it wasn't really a big deal. Her family had never really celebrated it, and neither had she. Of course, she'd been to a few Halloween parties in her time, but not much more. It just seemed like another holiday to her, and was far from a tradition. She had never dressed up for it in the past, but for some reason, she decided to dress up this year. Perhaps, as this year was so different to any had been in the past, she decided to try new things. Lara decided to dress up as Little Red Riding Hood (minus the guy). It was a horror-like story, if you really wanted to push it. Besides, she had the perfect costume and would come up with any excuse to use it.
Around the school, there were many signs which pointed her in the direction of the Forbidden Forest. It was a little scary, but Lara was beyond that, and was therefore a little more curious than anything. And so, she followed the signs through the forest. Although it wasn't a place you were meant to go, Lara had been there many times as a student. It certainly wasn't her favourite place to be, but she most likely didn't fear the place as much as others. Especially as she was a little older than most who would be following the signs, she imagined. But still, she felt slightly creaped out. Bravery certainly wasn't what she was known for. Walking through the forest, there were dead (hopefully fake) bodies lying on the ground, among other things one would guess were strategically put there to scare people. And Lara had to admit, it was working.
Eventually, she reached a cemetary. It was strange, because over all of her years at the school, Lara had never known a cemetary to be in the forest - and as it has been said, she'd been in the forest many times before. That freaked her out a little more than before, but she kept calm. It was Halloween; things were meant to be scary. Walking forward, there was a coffin. Upon the cover it stated "Here sleeps the evilest of Wizards. Open the coffin to see the corpse... if you dare." Why would she want to see a corpse? Surely it was some kind of joke. She knew there must have been a reason she never celebrated Halloween! Lara shrugged, trying to hide the slight fear, and opened it. Then, before she knew what had happened, she gone. The coffin was a portkey, and all Lara could do was hope it wouldn't take her to some horrible place.

Halloween was certainly one of Kendra’s favourite time of year. Dressing up and having a Halloween party was always fun. This year Kendra had decided to dress up like Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz. Minus the dog because she didn’t own a dog and even if she borrowed one she didn’t want to lug it around the party all night. She could have taken one of her cats instead but that would have been the same deal. Her costume however was accompanied by a pair of sparkly red heels just like Dorothy’s but an amped up version it was Kendra afterall.
Hearing that they needed to go out into the grounds the party Kendra did just that and followed the signs that led them to where they needed to go. Kendra was a sucker for Halloween she loved the idea of it. The scariness of Halloween didn’t really get to her but walking alone on Halloween night wasn’t the most comforting thought. Halloween made peoples minds run wild. People believed in things that they wouldn’t necessarily believe in at any other time of the year. That was what Kendra had found after talking to a few people at least.
Arriving at the forest Kendra read the sign and walked on in. The forest had been a favoured place of Kendra’s for sometime. She’d never really understood the fear of it that some people had but it was all personal opinion. On the way through the forest Kendra eyed the sights of ghouls and gore that had been left to scare them while walking through the forest. Some of them had made her jump due to a sudden amount of noise that they outputted from one being silent and still. In the distance Kendra noticed another sign and picked up her walking speed so that she could read it and find out where she had to go next.
Walking through the cemetery Kendra glanced at a few of the gravestones before she arrived at the sign. Reading it she looked down at the coffin beside the sign Kendra was certainly intrigued and attempted to lift the lid like instructed to do. As she touched the coffin something happened that didn’t include the sight of a corpse. The coffin had whisked her off somewhere the destination was of course unknown she’d find out soon enough though.

Halloween was kind of Nelly's fav holiday of the year. From the school she saw one teacher and some students going into Forbidden Forest! She gasped and shaked her head. Something was going on! Nelly ran out from schoolhouse and made it fast to the forest. Big trees scared her but she didn't show it. No. It was like embarrassing herself so she took a deep breathe before going forward. Nelly saw a sign on what was written something. She didn't even read but went ahead till she saw one coffin. Her eyes went big in a surprise. Open this coffin! said one voice in her head. Girl, dressed into a vampire's costume did it. She did as she wanted. She opened the coffin and the ground disappeared under her feet. Screaming in a surprise she didn't know where she appeared before she opened her eyes...
