((Ahh, I hadn't even thought of that! Good plan )) "Beating the rush, that's smart," Anna said with a grin, wondering if perhaps she should do the same. That would entail a trip to Diagon Alley, which she hadn't planned but it actually sounded quite lovely. She'd been away from the magical world for far too long, in her opinion. "Oh, clothes shopping mostly. Nothing practical like school things, though I should probably start that as well. If only I didn't wear a uniform to school, I could say the clothes were for that..." She giggled and shrugged her shoulders, wondering if she'd need to buy some new robes as well since she'd grown quite a bit since last year. Oh the joys of growing older.

As they arrived at the corner cafe, Wentworth listened to the conversation advance. Well pretty much every school has uniforms, he thought as she explained the shopping trip's intent. "So if not for school, then I'd imagine that the clothes are for holiday and special occasions?"
They had arrived at the front door and Wentworth opened it and after giving slight bow said, "Well, here we are Mademoiselle as promised."

"Ah yes, something like that. And weekends, I suppose," Anna replied, shrugging her shoulders. Who was she kidding, she spent most weekends studying in the Ravenclaw common room in her pajamas. The girl really needed to get out more. "I don't much like uniforms, so I wear my normal clothes whenever I get the chance," she explained as she slipped through the door that he had held open for her. "Why thank you sir!" She flashed him a smile and looked around the cafe, spotting a sign that pointed to the bathroom. "Ok, I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere," she said with a giggle as she skipped back to the bathroom.
As public restrooms go, this one was rather nice, so she did her best to keep her sticky hands from making a mess. She very carefully turned the faucet on and loaded her hands up with soap, rubbing it into a lather and rubbing it about halfway up her arms - she really had gotten it everywhere. After she had soaped everything up she rinsed and dried, using the paper towel to wash any residue from around her mouth as well. Good as new! With one last glance in the mirror she exited the bathroom and sauntered back over to where Wentworth was standing. "All set!" she said, holding up her hands and laughing.

Post by Vancha Ayris on May 2, 2011 12:19:18 GMT -5
Vancha followed the 2 students through London, listening in on their conversation. It wasn't especially difficult to keep tabs on them and navigate the rooftops. He did have to be careful though, as some of the roofs weren't very well put together; which he found out when hopping from one to another and almost sliding back down to ground level. Fortunately, he'd managed to grip onto a window sill and pull himself back up.
The 2 seemed to be hitting it off rather well, and Vancha SHOULD be respecting their privacy....but when did Vancha ever do what he should. He tailed them for a little longer when they veered off into a café. When Annalisse dissappeared into the toilets, Vancha jumped down from the rooftop from which he was situated; landing safley and quietly behind Wentworth. He approached the lad before speaking. "Wentworth, my dear boy. How the devil are you?" He said patting the lad gently on the shoulder. "She's a lovely girl isn't she..." Vancha said taking a seat at an ajoining table. "So what brings you into London?" He said beaming. He didn't know why Wentworth had come to London, but he definately knew why he was staying now.

((Sorry, I've been working out-of-town the last few days. I'll try to add my comments in the order that makes the most sense))
Wentworth couldn't help but be slightly startled by the sudden and unannounced arrival of the vampire. "Hello, Mr. Vancha Ayris, a pleasure to see you here. I'm doing well." Wentworth couldn't help but blush bashfully as Vancha mentioned Anna's beauty. "I've come to London to get some school supplies, and how about yourself? And have you been following us the whole time?"
When Anna returned Wentworth tried to be as smooth as possible introducing the young woman to the Vampire. "Ms. Annalisse Childs, my I introduce Mr. Vancha Ayris. Vancha is the husband of one of my professors at school."

"Oh hello!" Anna said as she was introduced to the new man, who seemed familiar but she couldn't place where she'd seen him before. School was usually the place most of those recognizable but implacable people were from, but it wasn't like she could ask a stranger if he went to a school for wizards. That would seem quite strange if these two were muggles. She realized a little late that as these thoughts were running through her head she'd been staring at the man and quickly looked away. "It's um, nice to meet you," she said with a smile, hoping her staring hadn't been completely obvious.

As if to provide a method of encouraging the continued conversation Wentworth said, "I was just accompanying Ms. Anna to her destination to do some shopping before school began again. A pleasure to see you again Vancha. Are you ready to continue on Ms. Anna? Where to next?" He extended his elbow again, but this time with no fear of delicious residue being deposited on his sleeve.

"Yes sir!" Anna replied as Wentworth asked if she was ready to head to their next destination, wherever that was. "Umm, I didn't really have anywhere in mind. Did you want to go somewhere to get school supplies?" she suggested, shrugging her shoulders as she looped her arm through his. "Or we could wander aimlessly, if school shopping seems too dull. It's up to you!"

Up to me...He wasn't really planning anything. He thought for a moment and determined that with the small amount of muggle money in his pocket they could by some chocolates. "How about chocolate? I'm quite a fan of good chocolate truffles, and I've heard that there is a very homey chocolatier a short distance from here." With out waiting for a response, he started off at a leisurely pace to the chocolatier. "So besides from being from the outskirts of London, enjoying the sun and ice cream, and of course shopping, what else is there that one should know about one Ms. Annalisse Childs?"

Mmm, chocolate. Who could go wrong with chocolate? Despite the fact that she had already eaten an ice cream cone, her sweet tooth was totally up for some chocolate, so Anna walked eagerly alongside Wentworth as they started off. She pursed her lips as she tried to think of an answer to his question, one that she couldn't answer incredibly well without revealing that she was a witch. She supposed there were a few things she could say, unfortunately none of them were interesting. "There's nothing important that you should know, but there's some stuff I guess I can tell you. I have a puppy named Hadley and a toad named Herman. And I have an older brother...well, stepbrother, but he's just as annoying as any real brother I've ever heard of. I like school very much even though it means being away from my family. Umm, is there anything else you'd like to know?"

Wentworth detected that there was a secret that Anna wasn't comfortable sharing and decided to not pursue the issue, but was excited to find out that Anna had a pet. He'd never had a pet, and had wondered what it would have been like to have one. He said with legitimate excitement, "Really, a dog and a toad. I've never had a pet. I mean my parents have dogs in the kennel, but there for hunting, not for playing, and the horses were never really pets. What are they like?"

Anna giggled at the excited tone Wentworth used when asking about her pets, remember the days that she used to dream about having a puppy when her parents told her she wasn't allowed to have one. Her puppy was no disappointment. "Herman is alright, he's kinda boring most of the time and every time I let him out of his cage he tries to run away. I made a leash for him so I can take him outside for exercise and such but that doesn't happen as often as it probably should. Hadley is a doll, she's super energetic and she always wants to play - sometimes that's a bit of a downside since I like to sleep every once in a while...but once you've worked all the energy out of her she's cute and snuggly," she replied with a grin, wishing she had brought Hadley along now. She would have loved to make a new friend. "Do you wish you had a pet? If so, what's your favorite kind?"

"I'm not rightly sure what my favorite would be. I've thought that an owl would be great." Wentworth's animation was priceless. He could hardly contain his excitement. "Just think of all the letters and packages. Not that I have many people to send them to or get them from, but still the possibilities. Perhaps, if it's not too much, could help you walk Hadley someday?"

Once again Anna laughed at Wentworth's excitement, nodding her head as he spoke about the merits of having an owl as a pet. She thought an owl would be nice, but they weren't incredibly cuddly or lovable and she always had the school owls to send letters with. Very intelligent animals, though. "So you use owls to send letters?" she questioned, realizing that that wasn't a very common thing in the muggle world. They used pigeons or something, didn't they? You know, back in the olden days before mailmen came about. Owls were far superior to those dirty, smelly things. "And of course you could help me walk Hadley! I'm sure she'd love that, she's very good around new people."

This was Wentworth's great weakness (well maybe not the only or the greatest) that he tended to be overly loquacious when excited about the conversation. He'd said that he'd been excited to have an owl for a pet and then started talking about letters and packages. He almost smacked himself after he'd realized the words left his mouth. In an attempt to cover his wizarding tracks he said, "What, use an owl to sent the post...Poppycock. No I guess I just got my thoughts mixed up." After all, he knew full well that muggles used the post system because the cook always met the muggle postman at the end of the lane at home. Feeling that he'd done a very mediocre job of covering up the matter he attempted to change the conversation, "I am curious though. You'd mentioned that you have a pet toad named Herman, that seems like a rather peculiar pet for a girl to have. How did you get him?"
((Oh, man. I almost let the wand out of the pocket))
