Thoughts mixed up, huh? Anna raised an eyebrow as he tried to cover up his statement, for something was smelling a little fishy. Well, actually it wasn't weird to her at all, but her assumption that he was a muggle made it sort of odd. Had she assumed wrongly? How on earth did other witches and wizards recognize each other in the muggle world? There just had to be a way, a code of some sorts...but they hadn't gotten to that part in school yet, so unfortunately she was stuck in a state of confusion as to what this kid was. "Oh, Herman was the only kind of pet my parents would let me get when I was going to school. They said things like cats and dogs were too much responsibility and that I had to focus on my studies...I'll have you know that my studies haven't suffered at all since I got Hadley, in fact she was part of my studies!"

Did she say she used Hadlye in her studies? This conversation is getting more and more interesting as time goes on. "That's facinating. I've always been interested in biology. So are you studying in Biology or Zoology?"

For a moment, Anna was quite confused at the question that Wentworth asked, seeing as she had never had anything to do with either subject and wasn't sure why he would think so. Then she rethought over her last statement and decided that his question made a little more sense in the context of that...but still. Since those options were better than explaining that Hadley had been transfigured from some other type of creature, she went with it. "Zoology, I love animals!" she said with a smile, hoping that was convincing enough. "Speaking of zoo, do you think there's one around here? Maybe we could do that today!"

It had been sometime since Wentworth had been to a muggle zoo. In fact it had been nearly five years. He'd wondered what changes there could be to the exhibits. At that moment he recalled that you needed money to get into the zoo. ((I looked it up and its £16.50 each. Not unlike many British sights.)) Wentworth recalled the small sum of muggle money in his pocket, and he wasn't entirely sure that it would be enough to get in. "Oh, the zoo would be fantastic, but I'm not sure if today would do justice to the whole experience. I mean it would be dark before we passed the avian exhibit. Perhaps we could arrange another day to meet and see the wonders at the ZSL London Zoo. But no need to worry for we've arrived." Like a cross between an enthusiastic tour guide and a circus ringmaster, he flourished his hand in demonstration of the chocolatier. "You know chocolate is magical. It can wash away the world, if just for a moment, and give you a little more pep too."

For a smart girl, Anna never thought through her spur of the moment plans like Wentworth seemed to. "Hmm, I suppose you're right. Another day then!" she said with a nod of her head, glad he had not questioned her any more about the zoology thing, since the zoo was the only thing she was able to contribute to that. "Oh wow, that was quick," she commented as she looked up at the shop he was gesturing at, laughing at his commentary. "I could use a little more magic in my life. I think I'm pretty good on pep, but what the heck - I want some chocolate." She grinned and entered the store, tugging on his arm so that he would follow her.

Wentworth laughed at the enthusiastic excitement that Anna showed by dragging him in. The store was a bevy of activity. The room was square with glass cases on two sides, which were filled with truffles, chocolates, and candied fruit. There were so many to choose from that the task seemed a little daunting to poor Wentworth. "There are so many, but just to let you know..." He leaned over and cupped his hand over his mouth and whispered, "I've never had a bad chocolate from here." He then returned his hand to his side and retreated slightly. "I like the dark chocolate French truffles and the chocolate covered crystallized ginger."

Anna grinned at Wentworth's remark, looking around the scrumptious looking store. "I don't think I've ever had a bad chocolate, to tell you the truth. Some have been better than others, but it's all been good. Perhaps I've just been lucky," she said, shrugging her shoulders as she peeked into the displays. "I've also never had any chocolate this fancy!" If they tasted as good as they looked, Anna was certain she was going to be in for a treat. She would have to contain herself though, she couldn't spend all of her money here - as much as she was probably going to want to seeing as everything sounded delicious. Pursing her lips, she surveyed her options and looked over at Wentworth. "Maybe I'll take a suggestion from you and try the ones you like, that'd be far easier than picking for myself. Do you know where I'd find them?"

Wentworth pretty much knew what he wanted. "Then leave everything to me mademoiselle." He proceeded to the counter and asked the clerk, "Good Afternoon. Could we please get four of the dark chocolate truffles, two of the milk chocolate dipped candied orange peel, and two of the milk chocolate covered crystallized ginger, please?" With much anticipation, he reached into his pocket, and when appropriate handed the muggle currency to the clerk. "Thank you, and have a nice day," were his concluding words to the attendant as she handed over the merchandise and change, which Wentworth deposited into his pant's pocket.
Wentworth opened the bag and inclined it toward Anna, "You first."

Anna grinned as Wentworth did all the work of ordering, her mouth watering as she heard all the names of the delicious candies they would soon be eating. "I can give you some money," she said quickly, stuffing her hand into her purse and feeling around the knuts and sickles for her muggle money. After finally finding it she handed him enough to cover about half of it, not feeling up to counting out exact change. "There you go, and thank you very much sir!" She smiled and dipped her hand in the bag, pulling out the first thing her hand touched. Pursing her lips, she examined the candy and couldn't determine what it was by sight alone, so she took a bite. "Ginger! Mmm," she mumbled as she finished it, giving him a thumbs up once her hand was chocolate free.

Anna seemed quite determined to pay her way on the chocolates, and Wentworth didn't want to make her upset, so he allowed it this time.
When Anna tried the chocolates he said, "The ginger is fantastic." He dove a hand into the bag and came up with a truffle. The texture was smooth and silky and the chocolate flavour was very intense. "Wow, you should try the truffles, the're divine."

"Divine, you say? Then I think I must!" Anna said with a laugh, peeking into the bag and pulling out one that was identical to the one that Wentworth had just eaten. "Cheers!" she mumbled as she took a bite, letting it melt in her mouth rather than chewing it up and letting the deliciousness go to waste. "You made very good choices with these, sir," she told him as she popped the other half of the chocolate in her mouth, smiling. "And the longer I stand in here the more I want to buy more, so I say we move on to our next destination!" With that she began exiting the shop, moving slowly until she was sure Wentworth was following her. ((Haha, love you Rosie It kept getting stuck in mine too, but that's because it was finally sunny after weeks of rain here...))

Dutifully Wentworth followed her out the store. The scent of chocolate permeated the air, now that he'd consumed the concentrated sweets. "Oh, how good the chocolates are," he said as he selected another and popped it in his mouth, "but how much better when you have someone to share them with." Perhaps a trip to another local vendor would prove to be interesting. "This area is full of little shops," he indicates one just ahead down the lane with a sign bearing a tea kettle steaming, "That one has delicious teas. That one," he pointed at another store front that had the words 'RARE BOOKS' painted on the front display glass. "It always has a great find. That is if you enjoy reading a little bit older or eclectic literature. So where to Mademoiselle?"

"Couldn't have said it better myself!" Anna replied with a smile as she dipped her hand back in the bag and pulled out yet another chocolate. As he pointed out another shop she looked around and nodded her head, noticing the others he was mentioning as he continued to point them out. Anna had never been much of a tea girl, she was a slave to coffee, but she was always up for a good book. "Well as a Raven--" She was really bad at this don't-tell-people-you're-a-witch thing. "Er, excuse me, raving maniac...for reading, I say let's take a trip to the book store!" she said quickly, hoping her wording hadn't been too strange. It wasn't a bad cover-up, if she did say so herself.
